I haven't made a base quite like this before, I usually make more of a rough viking longhouse or wide open lots of air and sun, stone, etc. But this is more of a wooden keep deep woods sort of vibe, tall and thin windows, very cosy and moody, chonky and sturdy looking. I love the way the sunlight projects the tall windows onto the floor.

I spent 59 days sailing around this map in a Karve looking for Haldor. I first found Hildir, then the Bog Witch. I found Swamps and ran away. I found Plains and ran away (I'm not all that much past Eikthyr!) I gathered my nerve and crossed in front of Swamps. I pushed myself on and crossed in front of Plains. Deathsquitos found me. I found the Mistlands! I ran away... I sailed all the way across the exposed map to try an area in the SE I thought might have the last scrap of unexposed Dark Forest in my seed -- and there he was. Haldor. My journey is finally at a resting point.

A friend, who joined me and didn't play with me since Moder, made himself a magic set for the first time ever and was holding up better than me with skilled char in the best available melee gear.
Curses were shouted in this hellish suffering, but we prevailed.

In the second pic I just popped out of a portal, so the weather didn't adjust just yet. Thought it looked sick with the rain.

So I've been playing Valheim since launch, now and again my world's terrain decides it wants to revert itself back to it's original form. See the metals growing out of the right side arm? I noticed the iron armor has them and they do not seem to be spiky. So my train of thought was, what if they're not meant to stab but to protect from an impact. Imagine you're a viking and a lox charges you and the only reason your right arm did not break that day is because the metal bended during the heavy impact of the beast. Later after testing the impact, not on a lox fortunately, I came to the conclusion that I may smoke too much. No, it did not work. No reduced damage from the enemy compared to the left side of the character. I would like to hope this would be added in the game as a small secret since I believe Valheim is the perfect little game. Anyone else daydreaming?🇷🇴

soo I'm building ash wood beam slightly under the roof (no snap) and still get damage by rain. Just blow my mind, the pieces under that wood beam is ok. What is happening

@waxen sentinel I think it's just based on sky visibility. The beams are probably just sticking out a bit more since you're manually placing them. Try moving them just a bit towards you. A beam snapped under a roof will be covered

Good day, I have a question. I'm sending a photo of a type of mountain that is generated de facto every 2-3 worlds in which meadows and black forest can be generated on both sides. So it has happened to me on about 4 worlds that a trader has spawned in the meadows, but I'm wondering if if there is both black forest and meadows, if there is a chance that two traders could spawn on the other side inside the mountain. Two or three in-game days, and hundreds of arrows, later. A lox trio spawned after I got rid of the bonfire and campfire, so I had to kill them as well. One Berserker and Shaman were also slain.
