My advice would be to subscribe to the public test patchnotes channel. That will get you relatively few pings, and the ones you get are useful updates on the progress of development. IE nothing ever about merchandise, community stuff, contests, etc.

i am now crying..., i managed to tame and breed several 2 star wolfs, after hours of waiting. and bringing it back to base only for Geirrhafa to show up with a posy of 1 star fenrises and killing all 14 named 2 star wolfs named by my girlfriend and lula (my first tamed wolf in the area) i hate this, i really really fucking hate this, it would be better if it could get something of value after the wolfs sacrificed themselfs to kill the main boss only to get finished off but the 1 star fenrises but the only thing of "value" is his stupid head... i want my 2 star wolfs back...

I've been trying to setup a totem farm too, but with only regular fuling raids it doesn't feel frequent enough. Feels like I need to get a hildr raid going too (to be fair though I haven't engaged with Hildrs update much yet, haven't even seen Plains tower yet)

I'm also hoping wiki stays accurate that the hildr raids can occur in any biome, because summoning a starred fuling raid party to help me take care of business in Ashlands is gonna be pretty awesome (I have max raid rate on)

If you want wood/stone, abuse the greydwarf spawner. For deer, it's easier now to hunt them (they spawn plenty) and if you're midgame, you barely need them but if you still want them automatically; build Ballista. The fish pond I guess it's pretty cool, but I'd prefer the fishing mechanic to be more... iono realistic? I like fishing game but valheim fishing mechanic feels weird and not quite fun.. (it might because the lack of tug o war when the fish took the bait)

The plan went out with the huge popularity. Instead of smashing it out they're taking their time to properly craft it, and that has led to changes in some of the direction and biome balance. Mechanically speaking, the Oceans would be almost impossible to make a final biome currently because of how critical they are to travel now, so there's no realistic way to change that without reworking a ton of the rest of the game.

There's always the option of lowering the difficulty if you're struggling though

I can understand wanting a game to improve, Kerbal Space was in development for so long with no “word” of progress. Frustrating, so I just learned to enjoy it or play other hames while waiting. Agreed. And we're limited by text. I was taught that communication is 20% the words we say, 30% the tone we use, and 50% the body language we exhibit. Communicating effectively on Discord with strangers seems a losing battle.

Spinesnap uses more stamina, just like every bow before it, but it does a good bit of damage, more DPS than the Draugr Fang when upgraded, and if used against undead (hopefully Ashlands) it will be even better.

Max stamina isn’t the problem, as an item uses more stamina, it takes longer to regenerate that stamina back after an attack.

Adding stamina regen boosts to stamina food like health regen to health food would solve this, though?

@crude walrus if you use steam to play, there's a dedicated server tool you can run in the background, and I haven't had any issues with it have 6 on at the same time, including playing Valheim on the same machine running the server

granted, to be available 24/7 you have to then leave that machine and the dedicated server program on and running

Plenty of tutorials + I'm pretty sure it works the same way as it would with any other game (Unturned for example)

in the Steam settings you have to make sure your games list shows "tools", and the Valheim Dedicated Server Tool should show up as a separate 'game' to download and install; when you run it, it will basically host a world which anyone with he server address (and if you set it, password) can log in to, but only when/if the dedicated server program is running

Ok. I haven't checked the mainline updates, but there's currently a beta that's been in testing for a couple weeks and it is just about ready for prime time, so I would guess it's that. It's a Unity engine update, some big performance improvements, lots of fixes and little things to stabilize it and get ready for Ashlands testing.
