I'm not sure I follow exactly, but the packs give cosmetics you can't buy with EP, and also give some EP

Alpha I do have to say, you have come pretty far from when you first joined and were asking your initial questions.
Yep, I'm a quick study, at least for the most part. Having played a lot more games over 30 yrs helps too......but LE is definatly a question asking game. The combat mechanics are not easy to grasp, since most games use melee as physical melee attacking, and spells as casting abilities, LE combines the 2 and mixes things up.
Certainly adds more into the mix of what you can do, which is nice to have

Yep. I'm noteven in it for ladder. I just wanna get my first 100 toon LOL. Even so, I wouldnt do it for ladder......thats why I'm working on a new build, it's going by by in 1.0 anyways. I'm just doing it to play it for the fun of it. it's insanely powerful even at lower lvl. I am 84, and only BARELY have the gear I need to make it work. Most i have is t6 belt, rest is all t2, but it's still op even at that. Fun to play with but very laggy in a group
I noted that there is no bugs, if before joining all party members will relog to main menu, and than create fresh group ))
It's just hard to catch up to them, that's why I said about zombies. if u are necro, u should try permanent abom, it's the easiest way to farm items and corruption without gear, u just need health leech ring and that's all

If I don't need a drop from a boss of a particular timeline, but I am target farming that timeline for something, is there any point of doing the timeline quests? Should I just race to reset the web and increase corruption?
you should be doing the empowered version of the timeline, if you weren't already. that means you can do the boss straight away without having to mess with the other quests, and it's usually worth doing that unless you're sure you will never care about the drops on any future character and already have the perfect blessing
doing the boss also speeds up corruption increases

yep very bad idea. empowered monos are much faster for every kind of farming, give you vastly better incidental loot while you're doing it, stronger blessings, etc, etc. you should never farm non-empowered

you get +companions from other sources than artor's
you end up with 10 squirrels (vs 6 wolves with artor's)
so then you get to benefit from sciurine rage being way better than howl, the phys shred (and bleed if you're using it) on scurry, and the +levels on scurry
also double the minions = improved clear speed

because right now, i'm thinking of making a build that has wolves, spriggan/bear, scorpion, sabertooth and raptor

This would be terrible btw. Those are all vastly different minions and you have zero supporting skills or skills for yourself, your damage, clear, and survival will all be absolute F tier.

No, but if you're acolyte you have stuff that drains current hp per second, which by default hp regen can help counter.

Yes. Squirrels are good. Because you're not splitting yourself across 5 different types of minions.
Zoo builds don't work in LE. You need to specialize into a type.

if you're pure squirrels you can use warcry and frenzy totem for support for example

I do recommend having at least one skill you can hit with so you can proc Aspect of The Shark for your squirrels

I don't have any health drain on my passive tree, items or skill trees. The only things that influence my hp are the low life chest and drain life's current health cost, so it has to be damned that bypasses ward. With just the current hp lost I stay at ~ 50-60 hp, but as soon as I get a dozen+ damned stacks, it drops to sub 10 and I'm unable to cast drain life

If you have more than 20 hp regen then damned is 'assisting' in making you lose health by making the low life chest drain more.

as in when skill A triggers skill B, what tree nodes apply?
the defaults are:
- if the triggered skill has a tree of its own, its tree applies and the tree of the triggering skill does not
- if the triggered skill does not have a tree of its own, the tree of the triggering skill applies
there are plenty of exceptions to these but as far as I know they're always specifically called out by whatever is causing the trigger
oh no, they benefit from any damage modifiers that can apply to ailments
so a generic % more damage tree node will apply to ailments, so does increased damage from attribute scaling say

but a tree node that gives % more hit damage will not work on ailments
or yeah the occasional one that's specifically melee damage or whatever
this is why shield rush is such a great skill for applying ailments

% increased is additive with itself and multiplicative on the base, but the base is only 5% for most everything. So you would need an additional 1900% increased crit chance to cap crit
You need to increase the base frit chance and then stack increased crit to hit 100. And there are several ways to do this depending on skills and passives and gear etc

Guys, years ago it was said that it would work in the distant future on making all classes not have just one gender. Does anyone know anything about this? He would be immensely interested in having a male necromancer even if he had to obtain it through micropayments.
It might eventually become a thing but it's not a priority nor in the works right now basically, so if it does get implemented it'll be a while.

those are all things to consider before we can find out what happened
There were some server hiccups recently but this would be super weird/unlikely unless the main save of your character got rolled back. Is your gear just gone or was it replaced by gear you used to use?
If you're sure that your gear is gone then you should report it using the ingame bug report tool, and if you want you can open a ticket through their support, but it's super unlikely they could get your items back if they're truly gone.

thanks for answers, I left a bug feedback ingame, also a simple relog fixed the issue. It seems you still have your items equipped but due to a visual bug you can't see them.

Correct, unless the conversion method says otherwise. Every conversion node I can think of off the top of my head specifies that the base damage is converted. Added/increased damage is generally never converted.

A buddy and I are about to start playing, and we are trying to look into this "synergy" concept we've heard about, from a gear and class perspective... like some classes pair well together...
We are thinking about a bladedancer and a marskman rogue together. Will this provide a smooth playing experience, and how tradeable (from a stats perspective) will the gear be between the two? With the understanding that one will be focused on melee and the other on ranged weapons, what about the rest of the gear?
Very hard to say tbh, but it doesn't really matter actually since you'll both be rogues so you'll both be dropping the same gear, the loot isn't so "smart" as to cater to your mastery.

The dragon passives have a particular "rotation" to them, this just changes the rotation. If you are using a single element build, you just don't want any of these passives because they do nothing for you.

So then without Mirror Breath, the dragon passives make your lightning skills buff your cold skills. With Mirror Breath, your cold skills buff your lightning skills. It just depends on which bonus you want. It may or may not be worthwhile.
Usually I wouldn't recommend the dragon passives unless you're doing tri-ele stuff, in which case mirror breath is most likely pointless
Been levelling with a friend and wondered about monoliths. Do we both progress at the the same time or do we have to double our monolith progression.
You will both progress at the same time - with the exception of corruption (which is not something to worry about until level 100 monoliths)

idk about the formula but im pretty sure that 100% cooldown reduction is half the original cooldown, 200% is 25% of the original cooldown and 300% is 12.5% etc

i personally prefer exalts with t6/7 prefixes
especially in your case where one would go for crit avoid anyways, crit dmg reduction is not crazy useful
if you have that huge of a ressource problem maybe just keep it like that, reroll values of affixes/implicit if they are low and wait for a better one

im trying to save exalted weapons that i find with 1 stat of each from each weapon type

Correct. Others will still gain stability (and consume it in boss fights). Only the driver gets corruption.
The driver doesn't have to be party leader, either, you can swap driver every echo if you want. (It's just whoever opens the echo)

I am on the verge of buying the game but i am curios about one thing . i like to play ( or try to play , kinda new to this genre of games) builds with big aoe's or archers builds that have a lot of arrows ussage ( i dont know if i explain this right sorry about it) . Is there something like this possible here or in general there is small density of mobs and this builds are not so viable? short answer, yes
you can have "archer" builds that aoe the whole screen, very strong and fun
there are a few different variations i found on youtube, you can just check "last epoch multishot" if you wanna see how it can look, but its very easy to just workout your own brew and helps learning the game alot

there are no insane meta shifts unless we get HUGE patches, which wasnt the case for a while, next big change will be end of february with 1.0 release

i know % pen is less effective if you have shred for that dmg type, but how bad is it really, am i trolling myself by using both or is it "just" okay
It's not less effective, they just stack additively. You can stack pen a lot higher than shred, so in builds like frostbite where they use Snowdrift to get like 500% penetration, shred will be pretty negligible.

Yes, and that's why it's less effective. Going from 0% to 1% (pen or shred) gives you 1% more damage, going from 50% to 51% (ie, max shred stacks & 1% pen, or just 50% pen) is significantly less than 1% more (or I should probably say incremental) damage.

You can't craft Uniques, they have 0FP, though if one has LP you can use them to create Legendary Items by combining them with an Exalted Item. The level requirement of the new Legendary should match the level of the Unique you used iirc
