we can all agree the game is good and its well made and has tremendous potential. But having unplayable servers is something that can be excused for only a bit. They clearly didnt realize they bit off more they can chew. We can be positive but its not inherently wrong to call out mistakes and bad handling. Sooner or later, if the game is literally unplayable even 2 weeks from now, people are just going to lose interest

There's a difference between defending and understanding, i understand that a small studio with 12 developpers have difficulties to fix server issues on a game that hit 260k concurrent users, this happen, it happened also on Helldivers, a studio that employ 100+ people, edited by one of the biggest multimedia company, this also happened for Final Fantasy XIV during months, blaming or roasting the dev team will not help them resolve these issues quickly, just common sense man, they know these issues and are working to fix them, with the thousand of people spamming #💬┃general , spamming developpers, insulting and such, it's counter productive, sure i wish to profit the game without issues, but i also think that developper would like too, even having time with their family, taking a rest, and no, they are here, sunday, morning, evening, night probably for some, working to fix these issues, just stop being harsh and be patient

In 2004 Blizzard expected no more than 10k players when they have launched WoW!. So please don't expect small and new company to resolve the problems right away.
The game is really good as far as I was able to play it online. You can play offline and have as much fun, and test your builds for online play.
So please stop crying and enjoy what you can, or just do something else.

And most of all, please, give the Team time to resolve the problems. Yes when we bought a game, we also chipped in for new servers that can be bought to resolve the issue!

@wooden flume when transitioning from zone to zone, your character moves from server to server. The servers themselves are fine, but the API/service that moves your character from server to server is not working optimally. See it like you wanting to go from city to city, but the bus service not being reliable. LE currently has an unreliable bus service.
@warped orbit streamers dont have a different client or privileges. They play offline or run into the same problems as the rest of us
@old dragon 90 employees, but not 90 developers. You got art people, HR people, marketing people etc...

I actually love the soundtrack and sound design. Blew me away at times during the campaign. The sewers and end of time zones especially. The main menu tho hell nah with our current issues heard it way too many times lol. Edit- also I ain’t mad about the issues. I look at it this way:
The Game is better by a leap from pre-release. Graphics, smoothness, frames, changes in class / gear / affixes and personally the falconer is hella fun exploring.
The Game is pretty great.

The online play, of course, the connection/transition issues are sand in the lotion of gaming, but also played for /shrug about 5 hours without noticing a thing. Obviously being worked on and making progress.

off topic of servers - but i was generally thinking about the game design especially skills, I have a mild concern about how "meta" will ultimately work and that the system is closer to D3 than POE in terms of how tuning will dictate build viability. Notably - in order to introduce new skills and abilities either fundamental base classes will change, or new archetypes introduced. But it feels like over time, we will qualify the S-Tier builds buidl diversity will shrink and then devs have to decide whether or not thats OK for the health of the game. Incredible start with the fact that so many classes are endgame viable - but the min/maxers given enough time will filter builds.

Anyone else worry about this? Asumming we can login and play long enough to min/max.

Offline characters are stored locally and you can edit them. It'd be totally crazy to be able to bring them back online after that. Though they could do P2P online play like Grim Dawn so people could still co-op with their friends using their locally stored characters

It's great that you put updates on the #news channel, but it's difficult to figure out exactly when these updates are being pushed and taking effect, and which regions (or all regions) are being affected.

So in that line of thoughts, I think it would be a good idea to have a service status page (per region/server) so people can quickly check the status. And perhaps a FAQ somewhere for related connectivity related issues and known workarounds.

stash, gold, and crafting materials are shared account wide yeah. however there is a ssf option when creating a character, that restricts those to just being for that character. i dont remember if you can activate that after character creation though.

Grinding shouldn’t be necessary in Elden Ring assuming you are exploring which I’d recommend doing if you’re new. Especially as a mage, as you can find lots of cool new spells that way.

eh those higher levels are harder to come by - the grind was easy just a bit slow and the new spell part was a lie for comedic effect

Depends what you mean by higher levels, getting to rune level 150-250 is really easy and only mages really benefit marginally by going above rune level 150 unless you want to max out both Faith and Int to get access to all spells and incantations. If you’re exploring you’ll easily be rune level 150 by the time you reach the north of the map.

With 60 Vigor, 30 Mind, 25 Endurance, 40 Dex (for cast speed, this is overkill though) 80 Int and 80 Faith this gets you to around rune level 253 depending on your starting class. This is massively overkill though and usually for PvE you don’t spend the points into Dex and you usually focus on Int or Faith. Doing this would leave you at around level 150 which as I said is easily achieved through natural progression.

I know that when I played before I personally chose to stop leveling as I was leveling up faster than the content due to the exploration which made the game a lot easier than it should have been.

Of course, play how you like. If you want to grind then by all means. Just saying it shouldn’t be necessary.

those are very good especially for leveling alts, I have never been lucky enough to get more then 1 useful stat, the boots alone are super good for leveling just because of having 45% movement speed total and the health is super nice for early game

Hmm, that's kind of a tough question to answer I guess. You could look up what other people are doing and try to fix it since it's easy to respec, but if you feel it's bricked it could be worth restarting. Maybe try another class so you don't get bored.

Yes they are, but operate differently for the one who does not launch the echoes. Progression for quest are not register for both player, but gaining access to a new timeline is. Also, your friend won't have the same echoes reward but a choice between two. I think you can have nore informations about this on the Last Epoch Forum

If you're doing quests for a timeline, the quest will only be mark as completed for the player who launch it. But, when unlocking a new timeline through defeating a monolith boss, all other players gain access to it. I suggest that if you plan doing monolith with one or several friends, that you do echoes together for gaining stability as a group, but that you do the quests solo. Once eveyone has defeated the timeline boss, you begin again, together, in the same way on a new timeline

Hey guys dont know if i can ask it here but i need some help with this! question regarding FPS drops, so my setup is an amd ryzen 5 5600 + 2060 rtx 16gb ram, from the start on i have had 0 problems when i got myself chance to freeze on hit i noticed that my AOE umbral blades and shadows where making my game suddenly drops FPS at 80+ echoes, when i remove the freeze on hit it seems that i have no issue but as soon as i use an elemant on hit i get CRAAAZY fps drops to where it basicly freezes for a few seconds and i die i am losing my echoes rewards this way, i already changed graphics etc but still keep getting this issue, is this an optimization thing from the game it self, cause i cant see that my setup should be doing this tbh

Using msi afterburner with rivatuner, found that limiting frames to 83 with rivatuner (half my screen refresh rate) and turning off verticle sync from the graphics card control (nvidia control panel) was the sweet spot for my 3070rtx 8gb.

I'm going as umbral aerial bomb build with net for cc. So, when I round up a screen of baddies it used to bog down hard. However, now, not so much. Might come down to 50 fps with a legit screen load of mobs with electric nets, falcon strikes and umbral blades everywhere. Good sh...stuff.

Yes, I am aware of the in-game limiter, also, the graphics card limiter.
However, the rivatuner limiter gives best results (for my set up). Also, afterburner can provide benchmark info to determine better settings, etc.

@candid sage it's small fixes like. Crashing in steam overlay / and aim assist on controls with game pad game it self runs pretty steady 40 fps so it's mostly stability if u press the steam button to go into overlay. Buttons get stuck when chatting to friends and or buttons stop responding

Somebody here that maybe can help me: I had the problem a few days ago - that my PC only booted after 3 long beeps but without a signal on the monitor. According to the i-net this is a problem of the memory, the mainboard LED showed me in any case with red that something is wrong with the VGA.

I plugged everything in again & MB reseted-> no more beeping, now it boots normally but still no signal on the monitor.
I then switched to HDMI, which works normally but DP no longer works.

I had a similar issue that bugged me for weeks. I found that the DP port on my GPU was actually being blocked by my case so the cable wasn't fully going into the GPU and then when I tried to boot, I got post beeps. I had to bend/cut my PC case to allow my cable to easily fit into the GPU. Not a single issue since.

My hardcore character "DontTouchMyVoid" was in a group of friends mid game. Destroying everything. When we went back to town I went to check my stash and offload items, but my stash had nothing in it. So I then logged out to check if it was a bug, and when I went to reload my character it shows it as a core character now. I'm just upset and hope this is resolved as it is my 5th hardcore character that I have dumped tons of hours into and DIDNT DIE. I’ve built enough backend systems myself to know what you’re suggesting just isn’t what would happen. More likely that if a connection issue happened when asking for a queue position then it gets bypassed. Which has lead people to think that there is no queue if you just restart enough. Similarly, the numbers have to be coming from somewhere. It’s not just getting them from no where or using a random one. If it didn’t get a number it’s unlikely to be a random number but rather 0 or -1. Moreover, if it wasn’t getting a queue position then it wouldn’t be slowly decrementing and behaving as a queue. Which it is doing.

The only thing in #news about a queue is that it’s real.

Grim Dawn is an offline game. And you get the items through dlcs.
LE's item shop is online and technically you buy skins rather than dlc so my guess is that's why they don't allow you to use the skins in offline mode.

The resistences were broken in D4 till season 2 or 3. The open world is mostly there for doing quests one time and occasionally to do helltides/wb/legion. While we are on that the way the battlepass was implemented basically tricking/forcing users to activate their battlepass when they never wanted to.

yea everything lagon does is severely delayed and depending on your build you can just ignore majority of the fight only time you should die is if you get clipped by a claw hit that stuns into the quick beam he does

as far as I understand, % item rarity only makes exalted and unique items drop more often, but no effect on the probability of lp roll, so let's say if a unique item has 4% chance to roll 3lp, and you have 12000% item rarity, then you have 12000% increased chance to drop that unique item, but the dice will have to be rolled 1 more time for the lp

not all unique items have the same chance to roll 3lp 4lp, take ravenous void for example, it's not 100000 hours, but probably 100000 years to get 4lp of that item
also, I have at least 5+ 3lp and 1 4lp item with me, and I don't even play that much since launch

Yea some times hard to get a question answered if chat is rolling fast, can try again later when it slows down some. Not played acolyte but with Rune Master passives and skill mods can amp up wards outside of gear. Also if they are slotting in legendary gear in your build, you may need to do legendary crafting on uniques and get lucky with extracting a purple ward affix or something similar.

Mostly everyone doing 30k+ ward builds are utilizing a bug. Specifically with profane veil, allowing you to consume bone walls created by bone curse for massive amounts of ward. And this scales off of minion health so the more minion health affixes you get on your gear the better it gets.

Honestly there are things I dislike about poe even after 1k hours:

• Crafting (I like my items to be mostly target farmable like MIs from Grim Dawn)

I love and hate PoE, its a complex game with lots of diversity and content, that does feel good when you reach new milestones, but it is also one of the worst games to play as a new player. Explains very little compared to how much stuff is actually present, and can be very punishing in some aspects. Crafting is pretty rough and when you combine that with the loot lottery you have to go through for stuff it can be tedious. But overall it is one of the better ARPGs. But also some people dont have the time to learn a game like that and prefer to play something they can just pick up and have fun with right away and not worry about a lot. Its not an issue, just comes down to preferences.

I would’ve really like to see challenges/ achievements in 1.0 cause I feel like those things give you a reason to do certain things or grind for certain milestones. It’s way too difficult for a new player to get in without having a 2nd monitor open and following build guides and having to constantly ask people with more experience for advice. Would take multiple “leagues” of playing the same build to have a novice level understanding of the game. For many people they don’t want to do that. I’m a huge fan of league of legends but I would never “recommend” the game to someone who doesn’t want to spend 500 hours just learning the game before you can really play it. Similarly my friend who’s into CSGO wouldn’t “recommend” the game to someone who doesn’t have at least 500hours to just learn the basics. It’s the same thing with POE. unless you know what you are doing the game is horribly hostile against any attempt at homebrewing your own stuff, there is a whole checklist of things your build needs to have and you need to spend gazillion hours getting map completion so the actual game "starts"- and if you add the fact that Path itself does literally nothing to teach you about itself- it is just not a good experience if you are not determined to learn path and search shit- which brings us back to the point of "why" - whose answer only the bald man can give you, i have 0 idea.

well that speaks to your friends ability to learn things not everyone learns at the same speed. however 3k+ hours is enough for a person to learn enough that they can put together a build of their own without looking at a guide

Chances are the build he/she wants to do is going to be bad either way bc the skill sucks in the first place- path has that problem- no matter what you do you just cannot save some skills they straight up dont work unless you give it high high end gear- and at that point why bother with getting the gear for that char when you can play a stronger skill

yup, at least LE has a freaking ingame encyclopedia, and also can press alt on almost everything to see more explanation
I didn't know wtf aisling t4 was until I have to watch a long ass video about it (bad design), meanwhile every single crafting mat in LE just needs to press alt and it works exactly the way it's described
hidden info in LE is like 10%, in poe is like 80%
poe learns this from d2, which also hides 80% info out of the surface of the game, what a true legacy

pretty sure you play d4 to beat the base game, not poe, most poe players feel compelled to go far beyond that and as such, research is mandatory
and why the vehement defense about an ill practice? the game itself should provide at least 70-80% info, the much deeper 20-30% is for research for example
right now poe is more like 30:70 than the desirable 70:30
and even the most basic of all: crafting
without craft of poe, how will a normal poe player know at which ilvl can a certain affix reach which tier max, and how do they know the value range within each tier, and heck, how do they even know this affix has max how many tiers

I prefer every game having all of its info presented to you in a way that makes sense. Like learning addition and subtraction before multiplication. Present systems piece by piece, one after the other, with some breathing room between. If I'm not only encouraged, but am almost pushed to having to google or watch videos to understand your game, you've failed me as far as I'm concerned.

yes i played diablo for basicly for the story. I dont do much research in poe but still having a blast with the journey of my character each season. You dont have to know everything to make usable items to play
