I'm sorry, I don't really have any details that I can talk about with regards to business level stuff. There are 2 big caches of answers to questions like that from Judd (CEO). The initial forum post and then he left a bunch of replies to questions there. Then this one is much harder to find and might have already been lost to cyberspace but the chat logs from the dev stream right after it was announced he was in chat answering questions the whole time.

No, mostly because the zombie vomits itself to death and only uses that but the raptor doesn't.

Death in the family would not as it says specially one of each. And you would only have 3 of the 4. Engorment still works but it's a 3x buff since 3 types.
Will Wandering Spirits also be converting it's shred on conversion? It currently doesn't and didn't see in notes

Alot of people are planning to summon the 4 types of minions then abom so he gets all those buffs and then just remove the minions from the skill bar for other ones. As once summoned he still keeps the buffs even when the minion is not on the bar.
But this seems very snapshot adjacent.

the important distinction there is that you aren't making a change to your character in any way. If you remove an item which causes your max number of some minion to change, the abom pops.
in the Necromancer passive tree, does the "Invigorated Dead" Threshold bonus mean that they no longer gain "minion added melee physical damage"? and its all converted to throwing? or do they gain it in addition to the melee damage?

They currently don't have an option to upgrade from one version to another or from one supporter pack to another. It's something that was previously mentioned wanting to be available.

Mike can you clarify companions skill chaining regarding earthquake and avalanche? Specifically, the interaction between avalanche boulders triggering earthquake. The player is able to loop the two skills even if the channeling node in avalanche is taken, via aftershocks from earthquake creating avalanche boulders which then re trigger earthquake. Can companions do this, and is the mana cost per boulder created still paid by the player? thanks
The relevant nodes are snowcrash in avalanche, and crater + intensity in avalanche. Currently scorpion or bear companion should be able to create the chain if it works the same way it does for the player.

With this node, the base attack of the abomination changes to Soul Reave, which hits with necrotic damage and this is no longer a sub-skill. Does the abomination get the necro tag in this case? Will the increase in necrotic damage work for this attack?
Something like "increased necrotic damage" will work regardless of tags. If something is dealing necrotic damage the stat will work on it.
Regarding the tag I'm not sure to be honest but I have a feeling it would still not change. Since the actual abomination you summon won't have the soul reave skill yet.
FYI my understanding is that spark nova converts to cold with the rest of the skill

Sites like LE tools and I think maxroll have their websites updated so you can make a loot filter in there that should work in 1.3. But I can't assure you that it will work
The thing is I've been waiting for a proper answer for 4 months. Launch day means there's no CS I guess for indie games these days too right? Cloven Flesh should obviously work, definitely doesn't. Defiled Defences most definitely doesn't as of test a couple days ago. Brittle Bones is also a no go. Those are obvious "should" work nodes.
Modmail will have a slightly longer response time around patch time. During the day when it's less busy, responses are usually very quick.
You can also make yourself immune to bleed with Exsanguinous so you don't take any self damage from it.
This season, I hope, without Chinese gold duppers, have any protection mechanisms been improved?๐
Well, we're 2 seasons deep of no gold dupes, going for a 3rd in a row now.
and yes, we have added new detection and resolution processes for this season to prevent and catch even better if it is tried.

This mystery is impossible to solve, I played 1 season and I can say for sure that in the first 2-3 weeks there were no dupe in the game, because gold was very hard to fill and the cost of items was adequate. And online was then ~ 200k and there was no talk of inflation

As someone who has been playing this game for 6 or so years, gold is stupidly easy to get. I was rolling around with roughly 7mil gold by the end of day 2 1.0 with no selling.
I couldn't get more than 1 to exist at a time but I can't see where it's being limited to 1
Can minions gain storm stacks? Scorpion can trigger avalanche boulders and hits with avalanche boulders can gain you storm stacks.
I can see it both ways, you referring to the player or the caster
Sloth Totem converts Frenzy totem.
Symbol of Selflessness affects Frenzy totem so it doesn't affect Sloth Totem.
Reckless Frenzy is a cast buff and happens regardless.
Nothing specific currently planned. We'll see how it goes this season and assess.

I'd have to test to be sure but I don't think so as it only spreads your own ignites. Ailments applied by your minions have the minion listed as the creator.

I can't get the scorpion's avalanche boulders to create eartehquakes. I think it's because the scorpion isn't channelling it and it's starting the counter for the 3rd boulder over again with each cast.

Quick question about the interaction with Manifest Armor ,Inheritance of the Erased and Sword Catcher. Does Manifest Armor gets the additional melee damage from Sword Catcher if it gets frenzied? Upgrading and perfecting my gear enough to be able to beat Uber Abby was super enjoyable, but after I killed him multiple times and got most of His items perfectly rolled as well, I was left with a "is there anything else?" feeling. That's what I mean by more Uber bosses or such things.

Maybe a matter of opinion, but Uber Abby is one of the most enjoyable boss fights I've fought in arpgs and I wish there was more. The grind towards enough gear to beat him was really enjoyable, and the mechanics, multi phase fight, progressively increasing difficulty, was very well tuned

Some people on the forums reporting that reinstalling GPU companion software is fixing it.
It's possible that we changed the formatting of the settings file and the automatic optimization for game settings in these software is causing issues by trying to set the settings file to a format which doesn't work any more.

Hello, played since beta. Never had any issues. Now when I start the game the loading screen is mega laggy and I cant press anything except exit the game. Even the music is laggy and choppy. Every other game on steam works.

I send it here because i think this is bugged feature, it is attacking very slowly even tho I have attached every single buff same way as before update and in patch notes I did not see anything changed specificaly for this build or item, so i dont understand why it is not working as before..... Hey @placid plinth , I got my fps drop login issue to resolve. I ended up updating the nvida app, restored every setting i could find in nvida app and controller to defaults, including global pc settings and made sure not to optimize LE. also reinstalled newest gpu driver. hope this helps

- Disable discord overlay
- Logout steam and login back
- Remove saves

- Reset gamebar settings - Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Search game bar > In system componentes find game bar > Advanced options > Reset
- Terminate any task related to game bar or Xbox
- Remove le_graphicsmanager.ini

it's not item or ability respec snapshotting, it's just how the skill works. it's not changing anything about your character.

The guide states to summon 1 mage , 1 wraith , 1 golem and all skel warriors. Channel Abom till its summoned and there are no minions left. Consume skeleton first to give time for them to resummon.
Take all those skills placed on action bar off and replace with bone curse , aura of decay . dread shade and transplant on action bar.

in the reaper form skill tree, if i take convert to cold with gravechill, does that also change herald of rots effect to frostbite? also does the poison duration from venemous coating change to frostbite duration? the gravechill node only specifies that the reap skill gains the benefits of the conversion so im a bit confused
I'd have to test it to be certain and I'm lvling necro at the moment but I'm pretty sure it does. Having the cold conversion node right behind things that didn't synergize with it is not our style.

Yeah that's just snapshotting like it always has. They removed specifically most minion snapshotting this patch. Hopefully all snapshotting will get removed eventually

There is no timetable on them leaving, as s1 is still there as well. But we will get notifications beforehand

Why was closing the stash when exiting a nemesis egg implemented?

(they gift you an item that dropped while both there, you craft it, then gift it back)

No, you can block users so you don't see them. We can see how many people have blocked someone. We also do ban people. I don't have the details on those specific people. Maybe they had a temp ban and next time it could be worse.

i tryd everything to fix the main menu lag.. chipset and gpu clean reinstall, nvidia app, deleted le_graphic.ini and so on: what works for me: disabling windows error report via msconfig. you might also need to do all other steps

doesn't seem like the sort of thing that could be done accidentally. Probably set at 12 as up until now it was probably unrealistic to have 12 abilities being used on one character
I'm pretty sure we spike buffed it at the last second because a bug was found which tanked its dps so we compensated.

no one really knows. depends on how long it takes to fix and what they can fix. generally the first week has a few hotfixes pretty fast though.
8 crashes so far last 30 minutes from anything to looking through cosmetics in the store to navigating the stash. Both of those in particular seem to consistently crash the game. Good luck with the fixes. Thanks for the awesome amount of new content. I am excited to try out everything and see what new builds come from it all.

we fixed the bug.
that caused aod's power to tank
so we buffed aod to make it still good

Makes sense, but what about shrine skills? I want those skills to be skinned but I don't know all of the skills that the shrines use so I just want to equip all skills skins I have unlocked, but can't with the current cap. Is that something that could be changed?

hi, regarding the new truesight glass amulet, does the crit chance have to be all on your character? does critical vulnerability add to the 140% crit you need? so like if i have 120% on my character + the 20% from crit vulnerability on the monster, does that give me a 40% chance for deadly strikes or does it all have to be on the character, thanks.

If you're looking at the merged Season Stash, those tabs are remove only. You can put it into the regular Legacy Stash, though.

Do you have circle of life maxed out? If so it shouldn't be too hard to keep it up, especially if you have the duration nodes and even more so if there's a rare enemy

Minions can randomly get special names. One wolf name actually changes the wolf ai to be crazy and just run away from you. His name is Fenton.
It's tied to your stash. So any character which shares a stash will share those items. It's the same as crafting materials, gold and keys.
We probably just never made that work. It's probably the same for all other minion used abilities.
If it helps at all, I had a pretty old VC redist installed and #1210285320923521155 message seems to have worked. Event viewer indeed showed a TON of errors referencing that dll.

it seems like bear with groundshaking might does not cause aftershocks. If it did, then when you use the talent that gives aftershocks 200% chance to spawn and avalanch boulder, you would see avalanch from the earthquake...which we are not. So is this a bug report or intended?

so right before the hotfix i made it to the end of act 10 and interacted with the turtle. I got the LE-77 message and restarted steam and ran the update. I can't interact with the turtle and escape the draal for act 10.

Yes they remain the whole season. Right now the ability to upgrade for a reduced price isn't available, it's something they want to get working though.
I don't know what the issue is as people have reported wildly different findings. All of this is just passing along what other uses have said worked for them. I have no idea if any of it works. Things to try:
- open your video card software (nvidia or amd) and tell it to stop optimizing Last Epoch.
- update your video card drivers and software
- windows update
- disable windows error report via msconfig
- update VC redist
- disable a vpn
- delete le_graphicsmanager.ini
- restart computer
if they didn't reset then you would be able to farm them and have them carry over for a headstart

yes, if they are copying the weapon then the copying benefits from the non-minion part and because it's a minion, it benefits from the minion part naturally. It gets a single dip from each line.

How do I define which effect is ailment and which is debuff? I checked LEtools and it seems that all effects are ailment, like mark for death, shred armour, damned, spirit plague

Are you using the anoraks by chance? companion skills only switch into their "command" version if you can not summon any more of that companion, so if you can summon more wolves (for example because you have free companion limit due to using anoraks) then the skill wont swap to howl
why multstrike is not casting smite if there is only 1 enemy?
By default it can't since hallowed arsenal only replaces "additional" swords with smite, not the initial strike. So you need the bladestorm node for smites (or additional swords in general) to hit the initial target.

Is it normal that the majority of "Health Potion" Drops are out of reach? When in close quarters or tight alleyways in a map they seem to often drop inside walls etc..
They drop from enemies, so if you're ranged it can seem that way. If you're in a super narrow space they can sometimes spawn in walls and stuff, but definetly not most of them

My Beast got 4 evolutions . And then I encountered four Claw Marks portal . But every time it spawned the beast. How many times I need to kill Beast before the game let me into the Rift again? Cos now I've killed it 4 times (with 4 evolutions)
once, and then you mess with the nest and it should end. if its doesnt, then its a bug, use f8 to report it. you also kill it like 4 times before you get a nest rift so should be close to that

@placid plinth I have a problem with server ping this cycle. I did not have that problem in previous cycle. Same exact spot, same internet, same PC, and even same chair.
I usually got 7-10 ping, but this cycle I am getting minimum 140 in Asia NE.

can we print primordial uniques with woven?
I just tried making a Shaman with a Bear that cast Earthquake and then took the node where EQ can spawn Boulders from Avalanche.Normally things works on minions if the skill node do not say "You".
But that does not work, no bolders, have I missed something, or is it a bug?
Seems excavation in avalanche doesn't work either when cast by scorpion so it seems procs are fairly consistent in not working in these circumstances. But I can't find and answer on if it's intended or not. If you think you might have found a bug please report it using the in-game tool. Even if it might not be one.

there isnt really any news to give on bugs, and if there were its not given out here. they know about it and are trying to fix it.
@opaque adder The only damage that scales reflected damage are modifiers that list it specifically, and if an affix says "increases to X damage", it's typically additive and in most cases will say otherwise in the additional tooltips.

Hello, sorry if this isn't the right place. I also am not sure if it's a bug or I am dumb. But I was at the Silent Coast last night when the late night update came through, and now the big turtle won't take me to the garden. It just says the to hop on it's back, but I don't see any options for that, then the chat will just say "leave" and repeat without taking me to the Garden. Any ideas or known fixes I missed?

Try logging in using a different region and then see if you can find the one you want in the settings menu once you're in-game. Sometimes (rarely) the selector in the login menu is a bit wonky

- The description says that the skeleton archer shoots the arrow. Will adding damage to the skeleton archers in the summon skeleton tree effect the damage of the eternal arrow?
- There are nodes to have skeletons have a chance to be resummoned on death. If this happens during the abominationโs summoning process, do the new summoned archers go towards the 20 minion limit of increasing the abominations damage?
- I assume +Minion Bow damage on weapons increases Eternal Arrowโs damage?
- Is eternal arrow effected by attack or cast speed at all?
- If you reduce the CD of eternal arrow can there be more than one arrow active at a time?

Ohhh I really tired of this problem. Yesterday, on day of realize everything was okay. But today โ 22.08 my game client crash each 5-10 mins after enjoying into server.
I tried reinstall the game, check up installed files, add some functions before opening the game like -force-d3d11, -force-d3d12 etc. Also deleted all Screenmanager files in Register Editor.
Anyway, the game right now is working with this trouble. I hope that here uou will help me solute the problem.

I used a glyph of envy on a pair of early game boots and they spit out a base I could not wear nor craft upon till level 70 or so. I understand that PoE tried to make a somewhat mechanically similar system (turning in corrupted implicit divination cards at low levels to target specifc implicits) that respected your current player level and that had its own issues. Would you guys consider changing glyphs of envy to respect player level? How would you disincentivise players from rolling a low level character to target bases? If you wouldn't change it for those reasons, would you consider dropping glyphs on envy later on in the game? I got one in the first zone out of the first town, for example
ive done two echoes and foudn beasts in both. lol. its just rng. and make sure you run the map entirely. i have also heard tombs dont spawn in echoes with rifts, and vice versa. so if you see a tomb, there be no rift
I swear that's in a patch note or something somewhere, that because both tombs and rifts are "side zones" they're mutually exclusive because of the way the system works

Similar to Rune of Ascendance, Glyph of Envy intentionally does not consider player level to avoid creating a burden of optimal play where it's advantageous to have characters at specific levels do the craft to block potential outcomes.

I think summons pick their name when they are spawned. AFAIK minions are auto-resummoned when changing scenes. The campaign is all separate scenes so minions get resummoned every zone change, but the monolith is a single scene that additively loads/unloads each echo so summons just teleport alongside you, not resummon between echoes. So your bear may just not be getting resummoned as frequently if you are now in echoes and you built it tanky enough to never die. Could take the ability off your bar and put it back to force unsummon and resummon the bear if you want to make it pick a new name.

It's a known visual glitch. The materials are being consumed when doing the craft, but the UI just isn't updating to show the correct count. Should update the count on zone change or relog. Appreciate the in game bug report!

why Runebolt skill doesn't update its tags when I convert it to cold (Ice Shards and Frost Spikes nodes taken)? To update i have to cast it at least once then it shows correct tags and gives correct cold rune. But when I transition to a new area it get Fire and Lightning tags again... very frustrating
If you think you've found a bug please report it using the in game tool (F8).
You're not actually converting runebolt. You've just converted the other two types of runebolt. So when you transition zone it becomes "default runebolt", and when when you use it it'll queue up your next runebolt as a cold one since that's all it can choose I think.

If you think you found a bug, please report it with F8 to take a screenshot and open the bug reporting tool. Specifying the name of the tabs you expect the item to go in and the name of the tab it is going to but you don't expect it to go in as well what the item is will be helpful.

As far as we know, no.
Tombs/cemeteries use the same map generation system as the rift caves, which we've continued to iterate and improve on to suppose the rift beast system. I'm not sure if the layouts for tombs/cemeteries have specifically been changed, but there's a lot of different tuning knobs for how exactly the layouts get generated and in what contexts, so it's possible that was adjusted.
The chest piece on orobyss is the exact same markings as the observer, they also have the exact same back even the helmet markings are the exact same. The shoulder armor too. If Orobyss isnt the observer Im just going to think EHG is gaslighting me haha
I could also swear they are the same being, or at least belong to the same creator

We currently use a hardware cursor for better performance, since the software cursor can sometimes lag behind the true cursor position. Because of this, the game can't resize it at runtime or it reverts to the software cursor. You can change the cursor size using your operating system's settings and the game will reflect that change.

Already submitted a bug report in game, but Im not even sure if it is a bug. The Wildfire Embers amulet seems either worded wrong, bugged, or just... bad? Either way would love to know how the spread is occuring in game. Are the ignite ticks getting spread 1 at a time every second? Why are some mobs only getting a handful of stacks and others get about half that are on the main target? Seems strange overall
We'd certainly love to have more cursor options as well. We just chose to prioritize performance over customization for the current cursor implementation, so I wouldn't consider it "broken" but moreso a tradeoff. Like most things with the game, however, that's not set in stone.

You're right that this is something we have been trying to find a way to achieve in engine for quite a while. This is an engine limitation that we don't have control over. We will add it to the game as soon as it is possible. You can use your OS to increase the size which carries over to the game but we can't modify it in the game. As soon as the engine provides a way to do this, we will do it.
@placid plinth there are like 12 primordials right? wildfire embers is one of the 12 unique builds activator*. lets say 1/12th of the player base started with that in mind... can you please clarify wildfire embers functionality regarding ailment stack spread ?

Have you guys planned/considered season mechanics that spawn a horde of monsters instead of just one big one? All the league mechanics so far (exiled mages, nemesis, harbingers/abberoth, primal hunts) have just been one big monster. I'm thinking of stuff like breach or delirium in Poe that spawn a gazillion monsters to mow down

If you make a bug report in game, that is by far the most effective method for communicating issues like this. There are groups of people working on stuff like this and I'll probably have some time tomorrow to investigate a bit if they haven't looked into it by that point. I just haven't opened slack yet today so I'm not sure who is working on what.
In the past we have had performance issues with too many enemies on screen at once. Those have been dramatically mitigated recently and we are able to start putting more and more on. We have been slowly turning up the quantity of enemies that spawn. We have not planned any season mechanics that unleash hordes and hordes of enemies for this reason. There are a few woven echoes that go pretty hard.
Many things like this have been considered and I pitched one 2 days ago.

Does the Team know about the Sound Memory Leak ? At least it feels like that to me, the longer the game runs, the more sound effects etc cut off and sound straight off distorted, for me that straight up starts after 5 mins or 10 max (playing Druid) you can tell immediately because there will no longer be footstep sounds, also FPS getting worse after a longer period of time too). Made multiple Reports ingame, havent managed to found it under "known issues" tab yet, just wanna make sure thats on your guys radar cause it straight up makes playing impossible at some point, and you'll have to restart the Client. (Can confirm there is no workaround, as some whispered it has to do with MTX but for me it happened after restart with no mtx equipped whatsoever). As far as I can tell, the Issue seems to be triggered when transitioning/transferring Zones, could be other triggers too.

Is there a specific reason why there are no damage numbers popping up when you do reflect damage? Especially with the new thicket of blinding light unique incentivizing reflect builds, but it's kinda sad not seeing numbers popping up as you kill enemies. They don't coordinate with each other. They are independent minions that look for their best targets. If you want them to be generally stickier so they are more likely to finish a target off, pick assassinate mode. If you would like them to focus on staying closer to you, pick protect mode.
If you want them to attack specific targets all together, use the [A] key to select your targets.

No plans to add modding support at this time. The API is in beta and is limitedly available. It does not include any game information such as individual nodes or item details.

yea I wasn't referring to how the minions interact with each other, just more so if there was a way to make it play like "Front to back" Sometimes it'll just run by entire packs not killing them.
If there were a layout that was just a very long and straight, screen-wide tunnel, and I was walking slowly through it ( maybe occasionally using evade in case I got body blocked ) and my minion had infinite movement speed, infinite attack speed, and infinite damage.
Which mode would let me get to the end of it with the feeling "Ya every mob behind me is probably dead" ?
because right now, based on my little playtime in past 24 hours, it feels like neither mode really accomplish that and it's 50/50 on whether or not the majority of the mobs would still be alive... but it's possible I've just been using wrong mode at wrong times, admittedly i HAVE been switching a lot trying to figure out which works best for me
I don't understand what "front to back" means. If you end up being too far away from the minion, it will leash back to you. When it is doing that, it will ignore enemies. If you are walking away from it at the same speed that it is leashing then it will never attack because it's trying to keep up with you.
Assassinate has a longer leash distance so probably that I guess.
That's the real main issue mike, the preview is extremely lacking in showing everything like there's no show of flurry strike nor ancestral sabers and idk what effect it does other than how it looks

When I'm standing still he does great. When I'm fighting sometimes and want to kite back sometimes it can get wonky. When just trying to clear a zone I feel like I have to stop to like... let him walk up to me... regain his bearings... and then figure out what he's supposed to be doing again.
I feel like that gif I posted was a pretty good example of that but if it'd help I can run a few more zones and share more.

Why was does this item specifically seem to have it's own version of proliferation different than any other in the game? Additionally, why is the cost of the item so high? Is it based on level requirement of the item? item slot? Some Primordial Uniques seem incredibly inexpensive for the massive power they provide other classes.
I don't have much info on the topic. From what I understand the expectation was that each stack would spread to every other enemy around while instead each stack only spreads to one enemy around. So in a situation where there are more than 2 enemies, one could have 999+ and another could have 20 if there were enough enemies around. If you sum up all the ignites on dummies nearby, they should be pretty similar to the main target. I know this is almost impossible to do in game without being able to pause and specifically look at what is going on like we can in the dev engine.
I'm not sure, likely was a performance concern. We might have underestimated the power I guess. Those factors all play a part.
To be clear though, warlock proliferation also has target limits.

If you think you've found a bug, please use the in game bug reporting tool. There is no pity mechanic so you could theoretically go through hundreds. It's extremely unlikely to happen.

The topics that are covered here are extremely variable and there is a lot of extra stuff that gets into the conversations. When we are looking for UI feedback, it's extremely efficient for us to look in the bucket marked UI feedback. Trying to sift through all the stuff here would eat up a ton of time. A quick drop in suggestions or feedback is a very very low bar to ask. I don't get frustrated about people asking questions in here. It's that when I give the follow up steps, I don't often see those steps being taken.
I suspect that it has something to do with the misconception that because someone will reply here that it is more likely to be addressed.

Great question, not sure though. It certainly sounds like it shouldn't however I think it would have been set up to just hit the player only and not worry about what form you're in as that's pretty hard to detect from an incoming skill.

I don't think it's anything revolutionary. And the idol still exists, the prompt was that it only works if it's your only unique idol and if harbinger's needle affected it. When I tested it, it revealed that the extra companions didn't go away when you unequipped the idol so you just had to put it on, summon the crows and then take it off and go.
So similar to snapshotting but for companion limit
well not quite, the companion limit was changing and it was preventing you from summoning more after it had been removed if one died, just that removing the item wasn't triggering a check to see if companions needed to be unsummoned as a result to enforce the companion limit
I suppose it's kind of messy to directly check the state of the companion limit for when it decreases and enforce the unsummon there, so you probably have include it in a method which is changing the companion limit
I'd love to see some sort of post-mortem writeup on how the audio bug came to be and how it got tracked down in a future community post/etc (those sorts of stories are super interesting to me). Is mentioning it here sufficient or is there a "right feedback channel" for that sort of thing? It feels too much like "meta feedback" for the normal avenues

I see the loot filter has conditions now for keys, resonances, woven echos and more. If I have a hide items rule with no conditions, will that hide items such as keys and such? Or is it just equipable gear? So far I've been able to see beast materials.

......... I completed act 10 but no idea which stuff I did in act 10 relevant to this thing? No quests use or mention "species" too

You guys broke friends list and party play with this patch on steam. Friends keep disappearing off the list and invites are not going out to players. Is this known?
