I haven't heard so much as a whisper of wanting to move the release date.
Question for the devs about Necromancer: this was my first class and I enjoyed the progression of the mastery's passive tree. However, when I made new characters, I noticed nearly every character I tried had threshold nodes (skills that give an addition separate bonus or effect after a certain amount of points invested). Some had a few, some had a lot. But Necromancer has none at all. Why does Necromancer lack this in her passive tree?
It's a relatively new thing that we've been adding to each mastery over time. The good news here is that with Season 3 in about a month, Necromancer will be getting threshold nodes in their new passive tree.

Are there any plans to add more team based dynamics, such as passives or gear that synergizes with team roles better, such as tank, dps, healer, etc? Or any way to manipulate boss aggro for the team in general
We don't build encounters with the rpg trinity in mind. We do like it if people can carve out various roles for themselves and we will continue to add options for that but we don't want them to be mandatory to complete a fight.
Ofc, but I just think that it could be great if instead of everyone doing their own thing in team boss fights there was some bonus to having role specific builds interacting with each other so that it wasn't just multiple self-sustaining dps characters. Sure those build should still be viable but I feel like manipulating aggro in the current state is way too tedious, the only thing i can consistently pull off is the abby/uber abby final phase beam manipulation and getting the fire black hole cast on me to clear puddles. Other than that team fights are basically the same as regular except of the juiced up stats and weird interactions when trying to position the environmental hazards correctly.
Might be writing a tad bit too much but i think the game could benefit from allowing more team-focused builds, similar to what paladins have and maybe giving a bit more options. TLDR Team fights should benefit from team-oriented builds rather than self-focused while leaving solo runs open to whatever they want

Does overleech saves from damage larger than your eHP like it does in PoE? I mean, overleech instances in PoE may be added to damage vs health calculations for particular frame afterwards even if the result brings HP below zero (that usually leads to death from full HP) and save your life.
Fr I can be right in him and he uses that annoying dash attack right for the back line, afaik the aggro works like “whoever is closest unless the attack has a minimum range”, which the dash seems to have. The taunt or something similar could be really nice to keep him from doing that
Here is how "aggro" works in Last Epoch because it is nothing like how it works in more traditional systems like WoW. This is the same for all ai controlled actors, player minions and enemies all follow these same basic rules. This is simplified a tiny bit to make this not a novel.
Priority Ordered Ability List
Each entry has the following primary properties: Name, MinRange, MaxRange, and Cooldown.
While idle the boss goes through the ability list entries from top to bottom until it finds some ability that it can use. Once that is done, it starts at the top of the list again and looks for an ability that it can use. Repeat.
The criteria for being able to use the ability is that it must be off cooldown and have an eligible target. Given a situation where there are multiple possible targets, it will use the ability on the nearest target (edge to edge, not center to center).
If there is an ability with a MinRange higher on the list than an ability without a MinRange, it will split off from the nearby target to focus on the distant enemy. If the ranged ability leaves it still beside the original target, it will naturally switch back to it if the highest up ability on the list which is off cooldown can target that nearby enemy.
There are several sources of taunt (and more in an extended dev pipe). The effect that each of these has is that after the enemy has figured out which targets are eligible to be attacked by a given ability, while it is priority ranking them based on distance, a player (or minion) which is taunting gets a massive bonus to how "close" it is. If you are "taunting" everything around you, you look as though you are touching the enemy, even if you aren't. The amount of "taunt power" that each taunt has is the same so if 2 players are taunting at the same time, it just reverts back to actual distance.
So each time it attacks, it reconfirms its target options and selects fresh, even if it is going to attack the same target anyways.
Thats helpful to know, maybe in the future there might be an ability or a parrive/gear that stops the boss from using the attacks with min range or makes it use them less often, not entirely sure which one would fit better. I'll keep that in mind when going up in groups tho, thanks

No, we don't round to 1 decimal. We will round displays sometimes to communicate important information more efficiently but behind the scenes we aren't throwing away preceision like that.

In this context, precision is the number of decimal places that a number is represented in.

if we rounded numbers to 1 decimal place, we would lose the precision of the additional decimal places.

Is EHG being acquired by Krafton? Or is this some sort of publishing deal for Last Epoch specifically?
Does EHG retain complete creative control over the game?
Will this deal have any impact of the wonderful transparency when it comes to the development of Last Epoch (this channel, Eterra Monthly, dev streams, etc.)?
I love this game, and EHG has earned my trust 100%, but as someone who has seen many games get bought out by a big company and seen a decline in quality and player friendliness, I am very nervous about this latest announcement.

question about orions descent. is this modifer: (30% to 45%) Chance to cast Smite on hit (max 6 per 10 seconds, this cooldown resets when you use a potion) - based off of you getting hit or you hitting the enemy?

- Talk about "more opportunity and cooperation will be happened", will Krafton help EHG expand the influence in Asian countries? That's based on Korean, which mean some commons available to connect in different countries, like Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Korean and China.

Dear EHG TEAM
I was proud to be part of EHG and the game as a backer and supporter. Now i am not. Krafton is like most of the asian “publishers” a big pile of cancer for this industry. They are the complete opposit of the spirit and values that EHG was made of.
There are enough companies that have experience in the industry which arent like Krafton, Tencent and all those other asian companies. Hell if you had asked US the community we would have given you guidance on who to ask. So many good indy publishers out there that share YOUR passion and vision for LE and the Genre.
But yet you go to one of the darkest places possible… I honestly wish you EHG the best on this journey. As for me i will not take part in it. Krafton will not get any € or time from me.

jokes aside, TERA (mmorpg) is my favorite game ever and was bought by Krafton in 2021. the servers for the game shut down just one year later. i'm not saying that was Krafton's fault, but they did also go out of their way to shut down private servers that were put up by the community following the closure of official servers, ensuring no fan of the game would be able to enjoy it anymore. making this #👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs message a legit concern
it wasn't. Bluehole (TERA devs) became Krafton (they rebranded to wash off the stink of being found guilty of stealing Lineage 3 assets from NCsoft)

As a quality of life feature, could you change the loot filter to only show affixes that can go on that item type (if an item type is chosen) and show if the affix is a prefix or a suffix ? That would be a nice change.

It does identify affixes that can't appear if you have an item type condition selected, btw.
Currently, if you have an item type condition in the same rule as an affix condition, the affixes will show a message in the picker if they can't roll on that item type.

It's unclear to me what exactly the Merchant Guild tokens are good for, the favor costs of buying and selling were basically a nonfactor after reaching just empowereds where you get so much favor by just playing the game

Yes, you can dual wield as a Lich while not in Reaper Form.
In the same way that 2 of the same invoker ring doesn't count as 2 pieces of the invoker set, this will only count as part of each set 1 time, regardless of how many you have equipped.
The other way to word this is that each set bonus requires 1 fewer set item to achieve.

Mostly just QoL stuff for it coming. Few mechanical changes that will be very nice. It's plenty powerful, just a pain to use.

Always, our most important thing right now is to be consistent and the only way to get away from that would be a very large delay which would really not be good timing.
My 2cents on the Krafton thingy....
If you integrate into another studio or start a joint venture... control is NOT lost.
Even if games or studios get bought up from Tencent it is the very same discussion everytime...
How could you, RIP, game gets asian, you lose your community, you lose control...
Not a single game i know of where Tencent is at the top got bad or the studio lost control.
One of the best examples is Warframe. The cry out with tencent was huge and still, this game was a pure example of success and sustained community project with a still passionately developed game.
Invests, manpower, help, knowledge, ressources... thats what most deals do.
This game will glow, iam pretty sure of. And i think this decision was a good and well thought one.

There are very few differences, you can use skills in town in offline mode. There is a loading screen when exiting an echo and you can't use Merchant's Guild in offline mode.

Not everyone can have a low ping secure connection to servers. which makes online play laggy, you can also play offline mode while on a train or plane or something which is nice. It's just a nice thing to have. It's also for ease of mind that if (god forbid) the game servers are ever shut down, that you can still play the game

A completed set is one which you have all of the set bonuses.
I'd expect that some players might find it not too hard to start finding them. It's the highest tier of item categorization in the game.
Also,some of my friends and streamers seem a little worried about the krafton acquisition. Could you confirm that EHG stance on p2w items and free stash space will remain unchanged?
I can't go into details yet. We didn't rock the boat much on that one.

With season 3 I saw that there was going to be some changes to minion builds. Does that mean snapshotting is getting changed/fixed? snapshotting has been the only turnoff for me personally to try minion builds.

the goal is to get rid of snapshotting, yes
none of those stats double up at all, don't plan a build around 2 of them, it will be dissapointing

I mean for health atm if you want to speed to next area you can just pop potions really quick because for some reason you've made those regen but not life, lol

I can assume you guys have a deep level of passion for the game and as such didn’t make a decision like this lightly. I’m sure it was tediously discussed with multiple options thrown about, and I’m sure that you guys made the decision that you felt would best support the longevity of the game. I have a question regarding slamming LP. I feel like a huge power spike with uniques is gated by a singular boss. Now while that boss is fun and interesting (Sub T4), I find that I am being forced to do the 1 meta thing to choose my affixes. I also do recognise that there are ways to get random affixes on uniques but that is hit and miss (The weaver is a harsh mistress). Is there current consideration for an alternative method for this? If not, what would you like me to put in the suggestions section?

Hey EHG, love the trailer and direction the game is headed - qq, anything brewing for easier season to legacy stash merging? For example, a button to merge items from a season stash into your legacy stash where, say, it starts with first stash tab and pulls items out 1 by 1 and tries to sort them into your legacy stash based on your tab filters? I’m a bit particular about merging all my items each season into my legacy stash so in my opinion it would be a nice QoL but I may be the minority.

If you feel like T4 Julra is too big a challenge for the reward she gives (I personally highly disagree) you can post such in the #1210281911872786482 . When it comes to what you should suggest as an alternative; that's up to you. Maybe some kind of super rare dungeon charm that lets you skip everything including the boss (I wouldn't like this personally) would work. The trust of players is the biggest treasure EHG owning, it's sold now, so the only choice EHG can do is try their best to polish their game, collect value faith from players back.

It isn't that the reward isn't worth the challenge. It absolutely is regardless of how frustrating I personally find T4 Julra, it is worth it to get that perfect Orian's eye. I am commenting about how it is the only option to get it. Keep the difficulty the same, for balance of course. There is no supreme arena way, no way in the monos. You need to fight that specific boss for that specific reward. I do appreciate the skipping of the dungeon component, I was just looking for different ways (although equally difficult way) of getting the same reward.

Are there earnable cosmetics or at least plans for them? We purchase the game to play and I can only find MTX for cosmetics. Don't think there are currently, but the trailer for S3 shows a portal cosmetic for monolith completion so it looks like they agree there should be some.

That specific point in the video is to show you will be able to have 2 different portal cosmetics so when you open your portal in echo you can know if you have finished the echo.
Because if you don't have a portal mtx you will see a blue portal for non completed echoes and a green one for completed echoes

If I use Corsair's set(which converts Glancing blow chance to block chance) along with Apostacy node Whice converts Dodge to Glancing blow) and Deflect and Weave node (which converts Block chance to Glancing blow) what do I end up with? Or my computer blows up before the calculations?
Things can only be converted once. Defensive conversions happen after all other stat calculations (opposite from offensive conversions). So, your stats will look like:
Final block chance = pre-conversion glancing blow chance
Final glancing blow chance = pre-conversion dodge chance * 2 + pre-conversion block chance
Final dodge chance = 0
Just gonna put this out there as I ain't gonna sugarcoat it (it is my opinion to have & I am quite welcome to be wrong in the long run if proven otherwise.)
I will remain optimistic for Last Epoch given how fun it is with it's core gameplay currently when one takes their time playing through.

Hey can anyone give me a rough idea of how much stun avoidance you would need to be unstunable or have a high chance of avoidance? I sit there reading the tooltip for it and remain clueless, my rogue is level 100, he has 800, he has 1550HP and 1800 ward which goes up to 3000-4000 when hes firing off crits and yet I still get stunned a lot running at 1000c echoes, like A LOT haha and then I did some vault of barnacles at 300 for speed farming and I know those bros have high crit chance but their slow, lobbing fire balls donk stun'd me heaps too, its a stun fest on my rogue but rarely notice it on my VK ES with less stun avoidance, no ward and about 4300HP. Any information I could understand would be great as stun avoidance seems to be an affix no one talks about and In the past I just get told "its worthless stack life" which is hard on a rogue when stacking other stuff.
I would agree with "just build more health/defense", in my experience, if you are getting stunned a lot it means you are taking too much damage. although at 1000 corruption depending on your setup you might be pretty close to its effective cap
Thanks I appreciate that but I can do all content I don't want defenses I just want to understand how the stun mechanic works, 20+ years in ARPGS and I just don't get it lol, is there a stun avoidance generic soft cap for it or do I just have to keep playing my warpath who's stun proof because he's spinning in a circle (makes no sense but 4k corr and 1 min uber thats fine lol)
Ah, for just the mechanic, the game guide has a page on stun (visible out of game in LE Tools https://www.lastepochtools.com/guide/section/stun).
The short version is, a hit has to deal more than 12.5% of your max health + current ward to be capable of stunning you (if you are level 100), increasing in chance the more damage it deals. Increased stun chance modifiers on enemies multiplies their effective damage dealt for stun calcs.
If you get 8750 added stun avoidance, you are functionally immune to stuns unless the enemy has extra stun chance (not sure how common that is), since they'd need to deal more than 100% of your health and ward at that point.
Ah ok so 8000+ stun avoidance, sweet cos as mentioned 3-4k ward, 1500 hp, 2 red rings, 200 stats so they work, 7% on my shattered world, 50% on glancing blow also 16% on wall of nothing armor and I still get stunned a lot per map - obvs not applicable on uber, no stuns but absolutely wild in echoes, I find primalist also really stun prone (beast master melee) but for some reason as mentioned sentinel over all waaaay fewer stuns noticed and none with warpath, really odd, like really over the top too if im being honest lol. Only one kinda rogue can make the most of near 200 silver shroud stacks, bit unfair to the rest of us poor rogues who like a more ethical style lol
That is a pretty low health + ward pool, but it's all relative to how much damage reduction you have going on.
Yeah, there are a few means for stun immunity, and warpath does give stun immunity while channeling. Health builds in general have a slightly easier time since stun chance is calculated on max health, but current ward - so if you've taken any damage to ward, you become more vulnerable to being stunned.
Im using gamblers fal so and my crit is maxed throwing fire traps so when they pop its a heap of crits all at once base is 1800 ward standing still plus very high endurance foot of the mountain adds to that + passive node of percent of life and then yeah as they pop it goes up up 1000s and 1000s, but yeah was just curious re: the number since no one really says "Yo maxed my stun avoidance boysss" hahah
I play MG in Legacy and I have reached gold cap. Because of this, I have several items in my sold tab that I have not redeemed yet, as I only redeem them when I need the gold. My question is, when the new season starts, will those items in my sold tab remain there or will they get wiped?

honestly if you could use 2 of the rings together it would be really strong even right now, getting a ton of levels to all skills and solving resists is pretty huge along with a lot of builds scaling off attributes- so it's def the right decision to limit to only 1 primordial unique if these are going to have that level of power
Do you know for certain? I realize they may have done this in the past, but Mike has stated there are changes coming to MG and I want to double check they aren't doing something like this to combat inflation or for whatever reason.
Do you expect every build to use a primordial unique? I will give an example from another game, say in poe there are some unique jewels that are inherently stronger and you can use only one of them however many builds dont use them at all. Is it also the case here or not?
How does Wildfire Embers interact with stuff like Judgement's aura node? Would each wisp get its own aura? Do the wisps consume your own mana when casting spells?

Why EHG not encourage players to min-max the game?
I wonder what EHG wish players to play alt characters because multiple builds available on the same mastery to try error and trial.
They don't discourage it either. The only real way to encourage min-maxing is by making content that's only doable with a min-maxed build (like Uber aberroth) as well as the infinite scaling corruption system.
But the fact of the matter is (at least last time I remember them giving an indication) that less than 10% (could be higher now but I doubt it's higher than 20%) of people even make it to empowered. So 300 corruption is actually pretty deep content for the playerbase at large.

The problem isn't so much the cap as it is the inflation. If the inflation doesn't get fixed items will just sell for more and more absurd prices as time goes on. 1.5 bil is honestly already a pretty nasty amount for items to get to. If inflation gets fixed nothing will sell for that much
(And if the inflation is due to dupes, hacks or exploits then the cap doesn't matter, it could be 50 quintillion and people would still buy and sell for cap)

So right now there are 9 chapters and you can get all the questing passives (15) / idols (8 or whatever) by chapter 7 I think. As more chapters are released, will these passive points be spread out more so that you need to get to, say, chapter 9 to complete? Will the number of quest passives grow?

They happen one at a time separately

Mike, regarding Shatter Totem subskill from Upheaval: do all the bonuses that can affect totems from Fury Leap / Upheaval itself / Maul etc. apply BEFORE the totem shatters? Or do these bonuses just go to waste?
The Upheaval ability object is creating the totem shatter ability so the totem stats shouldn't really affect the damage I don't think.
By stats I mean, for example, a single Maul can apply:
- Its own %inc damage to minions
- An Entangling Root with its spell damage to minions
- Fury Leap's global damage
- Upheaval's damage bonus to totems it hits
Would ALL of these apply to the totems BEFORE they Shatter?
I'm not sure, however what I'm saying is that I don't think any of those matter as the minion's stats might not be used for anything in the damage calculation.
Interesting.. as per LETools it has a base physical spell damage of 60. Do you mean to say that YOUR spell damage would apply to that instead of the totem's?
Yes, shatter totem is a subskill of upheaval, so it uses whatever stats upheaval has, which come from its caster (either you or the upheaval totem if you converted it to a totem).
60 damage is the standard base damage for spells with 300% damage effectiveness, so it's not out of line with player skills.

I'm really surprised by that. It might just not change much. If it actually doesn't at all, it's very likely that there is some issue with the bi-directional swipe back and forth causing it to not scale size.
It doesn't, it's not a bug, it's a stated part of the skill, says so on the tooltip

I was curious about the dev philosophy behind Uniques. Now I’m just returning since EA so I could be behind but are uniques only meant to be stat sticks? Are there any plans to evolve them into build defining gear pieces? Diablo would be a good comparison
I could just imagine how the use of the primordial legends entwined ring is going to play out with shattered lance set & the 2h event horizon maul with the dilation stacks. 
Both types exists in the game already
If you look at Stygian Coal or Herald of the Scurry or more recently Mana Guide. They are builds defining items.
Not a dev but I am pretty they want to keep making both types. That way you don't have to wait for a Uniques for your builds to be able to play the build you want

Will we see nerfs in s3 to minions, not sure if devs aware but most of current minion builds are uber viable and on budget without snapshot, with snapshot there are even more op. And judging from new unique we will see even more power creep despite snapshot removal
for the context the only minion specializable skills without snapshot that havent killed uber on semi-budget are golem, skele warriors and scorp companion, raptor killed but on higher budget

This might chance with season 3 but I'm actually interested in the reason why Acolyte has two skills that scale with dexterity, harvest/reap and two other skills which have dex as optional in chaos bolt proc harvest and profane veil ward per dex on dodge, but the class has no access to dexterity in their passive tree or class specific gear.
What was the reason for making these choices?
fwiw, all classes have dex scaling skills and can naturally roll dex on all their gear
The short version is that each class has secondary attributes and each of those abilities also scales with a primary attribute for the class as well. I'm also pretty sure it's a little more available. This is also part of the reason for adding the attribute changer.
All of these details are still not available yet.

Hey EHG, in your personal opinion, who is the weakest mastery/class? Weakest doesnt nessacerily mean power, but can mean depth and variance as well. For me, I personally think that Shaman is the weakest skill-wise. He really needs some cool stuff like Beastmaster and Druid have!

Morning guys - just a question around how resonance works. I was wondering should it be dropping at the same time for each person in the party? Does the one who does the majority of the killing generally get more drops of resonance? Is it actually based on the shared XP or is it the amount of monsters killed? (not sure you'll share that one lol)
Progress is simultaneously and equally granted to all nearby party members. Drops are not reliable and you are not expected to have them drop simultaneously. (By reliable I mean that they have a chance based element for when to drop)
Ah ok I thought it might be down to who kills the most, I was running with my friend last 2 days on 2 diff chars and his EU server so I had 300 ping and literally struggle to get kills in on echos because his warpath actually does the entire screen and he's insanely geared so I just hold his hand and skip along, during that time I picked up 11 golden resonance, he's picked up 17 golden and 3 obsidian which is strange, we were tinkering with echos and different techniques but nothing seemed to work. I know you mentioned to me obsidian probably isnt dropping how its supposed to at the moment but thought based on his kills vs mine this might be a trigger.

With an increasing number of uniques, Rune of Ascendance, unique/set mono nodes, CoF prophecies and Weaver Tree have a larger and growing drop pool and thus a decreasing chance to drop the "stuff I want". What strategies does the team plan to employ to sustain the uniquely feel-good targetable nature of Last Epoch's crafting? 🙂
in the recent dev stream teaser "You can reforge class-specific idols at the Woven Enchanter", is that an existing mechanic from S2 or a new thing?
hey Mike, probably been asked before, but the trailer specifically says that lich & necromancer are getting reworked, leaving out warlock. (of course those will still reflect on warlock but) is the spec getting less love than the other two and why?
The other two masteries are completely missing what are called "threshold passives". Which are the passives where after you spend x amount of points in it you get a static bonus that doesn't scale with points. This is because they're simply way older than warlock and hence need a "rework". The warlock tree is still modern and shiny for the most part.
It's a new thing
I can't say I remember what I said last time but I don't see why it would change really. We've got some really strong tools to influence the items you want. The more items we release, the less impact each of the new items has in this issue. I think if anything this helps to slightly temper power creep that naturally happens. I really don't think it's going to have a huge impact though.
How happy is the team with how powerful sentinel was in 1.2?
It would have been nice to be able to do some mid season rebalancing but I'm glad that people were able to find builds they enjoyed.

Hey devs, loving Last Epoch and the direction it’s headed, but I wanted to highlight some frustrating issues with endgame Monolith of Fate progression in group play:

Echo Start Interrupts Party Screens
When the party leader starts an echo, it yanks all party members out of whatever UI they’re using (vendor, inventory, crafting, etc). A short countdown or ready check would be much smoother. -
Quest Echo Credit Isn't Shared
After earning stability to unlock a quest echo, only the host gets credit. Even if the party completes the quest together, everyone else has to host and repeat it solo to progress their own timeline. -
Boss Echo Progression Is Solo Only
Boss kills only count for the host—even though everyone spends stability to enter. This means players must refarm stability just to do the boss again on their own. -
Corruption Gains Are Host-Only
When pushing corruption, only the party leader gets the increase—even though the whole group helped earn it. This discourages co-op progression at higher levels.
In Short: Group play is fun, but currently feels punishing. Shared quest/boss credit and corruption gains would make co-op much more rewarding.

I was thinking about where this game could go in the future and was wondering if the team has considered any interest in dipping into other "genres" due to the time traveling/alternate timelines in the game. For example, allowing us to travel to a "Future Era" which would allow sci fi elements and maybe even a tech-based class or maybe even an EXTREMELY older era that could introduce ancient lovecraftian elements? or is the team only interested in high fantasy. I was just curious since I think the nature of the game opens a lot of doors

I can't find it now but I've still got a picture of my warlock around here somewhere. My main was always a warlock from day 1. Mostly played demo but filled the roll that my guild needed so I played all 3 as needed. Chaos Bolt was always my favorite but we needed the crit bonus from demo for our 5 mages. My "claim to fame" in wow is getting the Tribute to Insanity server first Trail of the Grand Crusade on Heroic with 0 wipes on a "full" server.

Previously, our decision on the topic of Mid-Cycle balance has been to avoid adjustments to skills and items that are overperforming but are not bugs and to avoid fixing bugs that result in those skills becoming significantly weaker. The exceptions here are bugs that cause server stability issues.

I would have loved to see the poll after season where they did do mid season balance patch as I think lot of ppl have the image in their heads that all such patches would end gutting the builds instead of bringing them to the same line with other non-overperforming top builds.

I don't see a way to make that happen. We can't make the Tyrannosaur into a companion without breaking a bunch of companion rules and I don't think we can make the aspects affect minions without breaking a ton of other builds. Having an individual exception is a recipe for confusion and I'm not even sure how that would work.

Tnx for the answer. My logic was since Beastmaster only has companions, and can get minions only with items - since there are only few items that grant minions (afaik) I do not see it breaking any builds, quite opposite, minions from items would be more usable on Beastmaster
Companions have a few requirements to be companions, the biggest thing here is that they require an ability slot on your bar.

The campaign remains the only designed way to level up a fresh character. You can skip major chunks of it using Dungeons or get a rush to skip it if you want. We are working on a slightly hybridized approach for the extended campaign sections as we release new chapters. This won't appear until Season 4 though.
I started in 1.1 and saw someone on forums mention eventually the game will be 12 chapters? Is this true cos I flipping love levelling through the campaign and don't even re-spec chars even if I can and have the gear. So uh. I just want a quick answer I don't know if this is the point of this channel but. I lost my "Fingers of the Phantom Mire" upon character swap and it just vanished. I personally ensured that it was in the bank before swapping. When I did swap, it wasn't in the bank. Plus nothing directs me to item loss and this wasn't the first time as previous items I don't care about disappear, but this is just my first complaint as one of my plans got ruined.

hey Mike, quick question about the corner minimap: what is the reason why LE (and other games: poe, diablo, hellclock just came out, but pretty much every game in existence really) doesn't let you zoom out further with the corner minimap? and more specifically, why can't you zoom out nearly as far as overlay map. is this something you've tested and found it had issues or just didn't look nearly as good? and why not give the player the option anyway?

I have heard from multiple sources that the "blade paladin" node in the vengeance skill can be converted to fire penetration with ignite with fire resist. In the game there is no mention of this, I have tested and it does not work. Is this intended? Would it be possible to make the descriptions more explicit?
Is there any plans for dealing with the gold cap? Without a way to sell more desireable items for higher they just become unavailable on the market. I'd rather spend my time grinding out more gold than refreshing the market waiting for an item to appear

Yes, however increasing the gold cap would not deal with it. It's like a highway, if you add 3 lanes to a congested highway, those new lanes will be clogged just the same. Need to fix the root of the problem. Items leave the economy WAY faster than gold and the more people use the bazaar, the faster the collective group can farm gold.
Well, it kinda works. You're right that you've found a bug which I've just fixed for Season 3. Right now on live, when vengeance is converted to fire, that node mistakenly changes to Time Rot fire penetration per overcapped fire res. (which effectively does nothing because time rot doesn't do fire damage)
It is supposed to give Bleed more over phys res, ignite per over fire res and time rot per over void res depending on which element conversion.
We do have zoom levels for that corner mini-map. When the canvas is so much smaller, we decided that the max zoom out was the point where it starts to fall apart.

probably not for S3 as we just passed string lock for translations. I can sneak in little 1 line code changes (literally just changed TimeRot -> Ignite) but I can't do text changes at the moment.
sorry in advance i'm going to debate on this a little bit longer, but why not let the player decide where it starts to fall apart for them? what's the downside in giving the player an option to zoom further out, i mean if it starts falling apart for them they can just stop zooming, right?
i just genuinely don't understand what are the actual drawbacks (from the dev pov), unless you're completely sure that it looks so awful 99+% of players wouldn't want to use it anyway, but i did just go into the game using a mod to unlock the zoom and it looks perfectly fine to me

It's always a swirl of emotions leading up to a release. It's kinda scary but mostly exciting to finally show the world what you've been spending so much time building. As with past seasons, we've put a lot of effort into addressing many of the most frequent community requests, which gives me confidence players will like what season 3 will have to offer. I'm really excited to play season 3 alongside everyone else!
The minimap just has far less space to fit info than the map overlap, which is why a map overlay is a staple feature of ARPGs and allows you to see more of the map at once. When you want to see more of the map, you can open the map overlay with a single keypress to see that. Some players even prefer to play with the map overlay open all the time.
As for why there's a zoom limit at all, we design and test our UI assets to be legible at a variety of sizes and we want to be sure that at all supported sizes, they remain legible so they can serve their primary purpose of conveying useful gameplay information to the player. Having defined limits makes this into a more tangible goal, because it gives our artists and testers clear breakpoints that the assets should remain readable at. If there was no zoom limit, then every asset would fail to remain legible at some point.
Of course, that zoom limit is somewhat aesthetic/subjective and (checks commit history) was set back in 2023. Since the zoom limit was set, we've added completely new map types in the form of procedurally generated Tombs/Cemeteries as well as more random encounter types that add icons to the map so those might be good reasons to reassess the limit. If increasing the map zoom limit is something you'd like to see, let us know in #1210282176680169562 or #1210281911872786482 so your feedback doesn't get lost in here! (we don't track feedback from this channel, we just answer questions)

see the only thing when people say this is that i question whether people prefer to play with the overlay because they like the overlay, or because they feel forced to use it since it's superior (due to the corner minimap not showing as much)
i use the overlay all the time for that reason even though i don't like it, it's a suggestion i've already put in the forums in 1.0 and i put it up again, but for some reason it seems to me every arpg out there seems to want to force their players to use overlay so it kind of feels to me like it's a hill that developers in general (i don't mean you guys in particular) will die on for some reason.
sorry for the long rant lol i kind of understand the technical reasons for it still doesn't really make sense to me why it's not given as an option to unlock that limit (for example, put it in the options and give the player a warning: "this setting might make things look weird/buggy". that way the player has the option to do what they want, without constraining the devs to ensure the game looks perfect past that limit)
especially in a game that the players aren't "allowed" to mod

I'm not sure. The unique just says "Summons a Tyrannosaur minion" so idk how it would handle that minion dying since it doesn't specify a timer or proc or resummon rules.

We don't know about increasing the difficulty of the campaign either
and since these haven't been announced they're not going to talk about it either
You can get 100% block chance and up to (but not including) 85% damage reduction on block. The damage reduction is decided by your block effectiveness stat and asymptotes to 85% similar to dodge. Here's the formula
"a" being area level and "x" your block effectiveness
Block only works on hits and not on damage over time.
That includes Melee Hits, Spells Hits, Throwing Hits and Bow Hits (every kind of hits)

Are you able to say if the Careful Assault node in Shadow Cascade will be affected by the snapshotting changes? Currently it only updates when you manually use cascade, and indirect uses ignore the current number of shadows (which greatly benefits the build)

That just sounds like a bug. The node should check even with indirect casts from the way it's worded. Direct and indirect casts are generally treated the same unless specified.
i mean, it "snapshots" the damage bonus granted from direct use at the proper amount of shadows, but ya probably closer to a bug. It's been in the game for longer than I've been playing however, so if it is fixed I would think there would be reciprocal balance changes to go with it, similar to the minion snapshots

I really liked this season’s trailer. There were a lot of hints, and many teasers from previous streams didn’t appear in the trailer, which made viewers curious and gave the sense that there were still many mysteries left to uncover. Looking back at the season 2 trailer, it was quite long and revealed almost everything, and the interviews with the streamers also showcased nearly all the features. Honestly, doing it that way took away some of the excitement and fun. I was really hyped for season 2, but after watching the main trailer and the interviews, I felt like I already knew everything, so when I played, there wasn’t really anything that surprised me anymore.
I don't think we have any modifier key options coming to keybinds. Most of the improvements to WASD coming are based around feedback for individual skill issues. Specific targeting issues for node combinations and just general improvements.

One of the mods the other day said "platemail" on manifest armor used "all stats" including slammed ones, my current armor has t7 34% and base 26% on it, platemail adds 160% but in my stats its saying my minion only has 26% increased health - is that just stats not showing or is the node not working? If I import my build it says 32% not 26
What do you mean by "in my stats"? Are you referring to the character sheet? If so that won't reflect anything on your skill trees
Sorry yeah if i hit minion tab its showing 26% increased which assume is from mantle of the pale ox base, i have 34% slammed onto that too and then platemail at 4/4 which is 160% increase of stats on chest, i know some stats dont show but my lil lad dies quite easily so just concerned for his safety
Yes the character sheet will only show the stat "increased minion health" that's on your character. What you would want for the plate mail node would be normal "increased health" . Since if you give your manifest armour "increased minion health" you'd be giving your manifest armours minions (it has none) increased health through the plate mail node. Hopefully that makes sense.
The character sheet will also never take into account stats on skill trees. Since just because for one skill tree's node says for example "increased damage is 200% effective on this skill" doesn't mean that stat would be 200% effective for your other skills. Hence the sheet just shows the base value from your gear and passives before any skill trees
Ah ok so the "increased health" 34% slam is for me but not my child Timmy, got it so he's getting 160% of 26 which is why on my export it's probably 32% (not doing maths its too early) makes sense, I didnt even click on that slammed affix, thanks! Do you know if they are going to ever put numbers on health bars of any of the minions? And thanks! 🙂
Make sure to check that your exported planner is set to "actual" in the rolls ;p
Option should be available when you import your character. Since otherwise the math isn't mathing haha.
But yes I think you get the gist of it. "Increased health" will apply at 1.6x but "increased minion health" will only apply at 1x. So you actually don't want minion stats on your chest piece for manifest armour. Since getting normal stats benefits both you and your manifest armour (at an increased rate!)

Just in general, when we release a major patch, the answer to 'will archetype x get any love at all?' is almost always yes. Sometimes it's just new items that can shake things up, sometimes it's deeper passive and skill tree adjustments.
Class identity is one of our major design pillars so we are always looking for ways to keep classes distinct and uniquely interesting. Pulling mechanics from one to use on another isn't something we generally like to do very much.

It would be cool if EHG created Sound Packs MTXs. So everyone would get the default one for free, but there would be a new way to support the game by purchasing other packs with different sounds.
No, this would fall under the pay for convenience category that we are not interested in exploring.
Let's say all packs have 12 sounds, both the free pack and those available for purchase, and the player can only use one pack at a time. This way, a player who purchases a whistle-themed pack, for example, would still have only 12 sounds available for use in the loot filter, the same number available to the player who opted to use the free pack.
Would this still qualify as "paying for convenience"?

convenience might be the wrong term but I can't think of a better one right now, either way, it's not the sort of thing we are interested in charging for.

Quick question seeing as I just listened to the loot filter sfx: Is that the kind of sound mixing we might see coming to skill sfx in the future? Becuase if so, I think that will definitely help a LOT when it comes to giving skills that impact and weight some of them really need.

All of the sound mixing for the game has been overhauled for Season 3.
No, we considered it but have so far passed on that option. It's always there for us but each class already has a skill which is essentially just basic attack but better.
We haven't disclosed the details of the system yet. We will be doing a deeper dive into the details as we get closer to the patch.
If you'd like to try and figure it out, you can try examining the tooltips as we often use positioning to communicate things. Like how the prefixes are always above the suffixes.
Like swipe for primalists as an example.

Does failing to kill Uber Aberroth, but then killing him in the same echo, effect his loot? When I mouse over an echo I failed him on, it says less drops will happen. But it still feels like the same amount of the "good stuff" (vise, sw, harby stuff).
Why does smite get increased damage from elemental damage over time? The tool tip updates damage when I equip just that affix. This is without the fissure node specialized
The boss drops are not affected. We expect people to take a few attempts and getting reduced drops if you're struggling with it is not awesome.

Edit: I found out that, with zoom out on the map it's easier to find, the icon appears in the region, but still, could have a shortcut/search. The dungeons have it by clicking on the keys.

Interested in picking your brain, Mike. Having a conversation about auto-pickup of shards, and talking to someone who feels like there's no good reason to enable this as a toggle - like, give players the option to choose whether these are auto pickup or not. Reasons you might not do this:
- Just cost/impact. If this were something you wanted to implement, would it be worth prioritizing
- That EHG thinks picking up this loot is a better game overall, and if you give players the option of a more efficient choice (auto pickup being more efficient) they will opt-in even if it's a worse experience overall.
Do you agree with these? Do you think they're significant in this case? Are there other reasons you think are more important than these two?

Basically sums it up. I do personally agree with those as reasons but I don't personally think they are good enough reasons. I could very well be wrong though and you can't put that toothpaste back in the tube.
As I said, we don't really do it that way. I suspect that there is a lot of overlap but I've never used that data to make a decision like that.

Urging the team to consider taking that approach. Letting underperforming stuff to rot for too long holds affected classes/masteries down and limits build variability.

Decisions like this get challenged internally at design meetings very frequently. Especially things that are contentious in the community.
Oh I love the idea of filterable gold and shards. They are once again in this odd limbo of both being and not being an item. I think the more generally preferred solution is to concentrate them more.
Sometimes a node is just waiting for the right environment to shine too.
Definitely not something like Arrow Storm, Rain of Arrows, or any charge-up skill mod. Those simply do not fit into high-corruption target-rich environments, imo; besides, they have no proper support within their relative masteries like I mentioned a couple of times. That's just a couple of examples.
Speaking of shards, btw... I recall there was a conversation about creating a system of sorts which would allow the player to exchange excess/less-desirable shards for more desirable ones? Or am I misremembering it?

A super popular build is probably a little more likely to be intentionally preserved as at least good as it appears as something people enjoy. We try not to kill builds in general but a sleeper might be a little more acceptable to catch a stray if we were fixing another issue.

Tldr is technical limitation. They could probably make them not reset but it's not worth the effort since returning to a campaign area more than once is kinda rare and they try their best to make it so people don't try to pick every piece of loot up to sell to vendors by having everything sell for like 3 gold. Returning to town mid area and then going back isn't really the intended flow of the campaign.

It gets baked as a static map for static zones. It gets generated on the fly for procedurally generated zones (PCG zones). It does use the nav mesh and is then run through some processes.

If this were to become an expected play pattern, I suspect very much that it would be removed. This is what I would call a case of the burden of optimal play causing issues.
is there any requirement for filter rule being able to use loot sound or can I blow my eardrums out by setting show all + one of the filter sounds?
I'm not 100% on how it works but there are per-sound and per-channel maximums for volume and play frequency. If you do that, I hope that it would hit a failsafe and only play a certain number of times or possibly queue up.

Timeline-specific exclusive echo rewards just add those reward types to the pool of rewards that echo islands can spawn with (the icon on the island of what you get from the reward crystal from completing it). They don't influence any random drops or RNG encounters.

Hi team when using acid flasks "knowledge of immunity" with the poison penetration per 5% over capped I dont seem to see it reflecting any change in the dps of the skill on my hot bar or the poison damage in my char screen. I know that specific skills quite often dont reflect change in the char screen but I thought maybe it still would in the dps bar? Can someone yay or nay me on this? Thanks 🙂

well the 37 throwing has nothing to do with poison. poison is dot only so any flat throwing doesnt actually help out the poison part.
but at 82 res you are only getting like 1% pen so no its not going to be noticable at all

I am confused about dot/posion dmg though, so i have my daggers both slammed 7/7 crit multi and DoT - would i be better off with one of those T7 poison dmg, would that amplify the poison damage or am I complicating things?
the crit multi does nothing for dot damage. unless it is converted with something like salt the wound. so yeah poison damage would be a better choice for damage in that scenario.

No and no. Corruption/item rarity increases the drop rates up to a maximum (the max is a item by item basis) and CoF has basically extra rolls per kill at a certain rank. That's it really.
I don't know, haven't planned that far ahead yet.
I have a question about Runemaster. What was the reason behind the decision to allow channeling skills to get runes only once per second effectively removing them as a rune-generating option? For example, I d like to use Desintegrate but can't because it is too slow for runes
Not going to be channeling it for very long at all and kinda removing the playstyle of using that ability if they charge runes much faster than that.
not much faster but at least '0.5 sec' sounds reasonable. Now with non-channeling skills it is like ~4-5 times faster and more convenient

Procced skills (referring to the skills you can put on your bar) do not inherit anything from the skill that procced them unless specified. Only sub-skills inherit stats. So healing hands doesn't inherit anything from vengeance

We don't really approach balancing from this angle. We sometimes will query specific things but it's usually pretty big picture stuff, more which mastery than which nodes. I find data often leaves out the why for things like this. The most miserable build to play could be the most popular if it's the most powerful.
I definitely agree that data leaves out the "why", but I do think it's a great place for finding "why" questions that you may not have thought or known to ask. imo a tool in the toolbox (and potentially an expensive tool depending on how & where the data is stored), but not the only one, as with anything. Have you considered adding any risk/reward mechanics? For example, it could be fun to be able to have a Nemesis like system that has a greater chance of adding multiple LP, or different rare stats, with the risk of destroying the item. Gold is also shared between factions while you're not doing anything with it. You are almost forced to play MG with one char in order to buy tabs, because a fringe of playerbase may afford to farm gold for 200 tabs only using CoF means spending a tremendous amount of time. Better to fix this imparity than take away a single convenient way to roll rare but unpopular items trying to put hipster build together. It's an awful feeling to fish some rare unique with reroll chance 50%+, getting it with a low roll and being not able to play this build for some another undefined time because you have to drop another one instead of just buying it and finally playing that esoteric build "blasting" 200c on its last leg while you could facetank uberroth with judgment paladin using items picked from the ground last hour.

This time with the Beastmaster minion rebalancing, please also fix the remaining skill synergy bugs.
For example, the Maim node in Frenzy Totem is supposed to double the Flurry Swipes, but this simply does not work. Twin Fangs (from the Swipe tree) is supposed to double crit multi while dual-wielding, but it’s not working either.
These bugs have existed for a long time, and many people have reported them, but they still haven’t been fixed.

I would like to challenge the idea that 200 stash tabs is necessary or even useful. I would also suggest that having so many tabs might actually slow you down to some degree. While I do agree that there are some benefits for splitting gold into MG gold and CoF gold, I haven't heard a really good argument for it that would make the dev time worth while to spend on that.

My point there is not about 200 tabs, it is deliberate exaggeration. Even 80 tabs are barely manageable by cost for average player without MG. My point there about priorities. From my perspective, as someone who do architecture design, being obliged to have characters in both factions for fast progression (for average post-story player, not for FS-like people) in order to have access both to tabs and Arbor (forgot to mention it btw) with crafting materials (esp. havoc runes) is problem MUCH MUCH more serious than ability to roll CoF uniques with MG fodder and vice versa which is rather a bondage for off-meta builds than an imbalance to be patched immediately. So if you haven't found gold split between faction as a problem yet, why you'd ever consider removing faction-agnostic reroll?

hey mike i know on past steam you said you guys were unsure about how to do the unique creator submission from players how about this: have say 25 uniques you guys have spots for. people sign up and then you guys do a lottery thats puts people from first to last. first 25 get the opportunity to submit their idea. if they dont respond or do whatever is needed then you simply just go to the next person on the list until its done!

ello, do you folks know if the nodes Spiked plates, Rygar's fury, Sharpened rim (this one was answered as maybe yes?) and Avenger's wrath on the shield throw skill also affect Lava burst? I briefly searched this discord and reddit and forums and couldn't find a definitive answer. (I understand that unless specified on the triggered skill itself, usually everything in the tree affects the triggered skills, just not sure in this case where it states "shield throw does xxx")
If you'd like the unique suggestion to be considered please post it in the #1210282176680169562 . Also it would be more like 1 or 2 out of 25 that are made by the community. Community uniques take a lot more time to make than in-house ones. Since they need a back and forth between community member and ehg.
Doesn't matter that it says "shield throw", all nodes on all skills usually name the parent skill.
The rule basically is as long as the node is just providing normal stats, like increased damage, more damage, leech, penetration and so on. Without being conditional on the target's state (example would be "1% more damage per ignite") or specifies something like directly casting the parent skill, it will apply to all sub-skills all the way down the chain.
So even if a sub-skill triggers another sub-skill if the first subskill inherits something from the parent skill, so will its sub-skills.
Spiked plates, rygar's fury, sharpened rim and avenger's wrath should all apply to any subskills of shield throw, including lava burst.

Hey just wondering if "Thorny Stalks" node on Summon Spriggan adds its number to Damage Reflected to Attackers and then is buffed by Thornshell or if it is its own source of flat reflect that is not affected, tyty
It currently works as intended. When you use upheaval, you get a chance to create an aftershock under an enemy that is near you. It does not matter what enemy you hit with the attack, if any, you just need to directly use a melee attack.
Yes, it is scaled by thornshell; you should be able to see the reflect from thorny stalks show up on your character sheet when you summon your spriggan.
yes, the "near" line is what dosnt work properly should be near the upheaveal attack instead of where my character is
Nothing would indicate that for me. To me it reads as a nearby enemy to your character not the attack (all similarly worded effects are based on your characters location). I'm decently confident this isn't a bug.

I don't think it made it into Season 3. I haven't actually played through that part of the campaign recently. Been focusing on the new chapter when I test stuff. It is quite high on the todo list though.

The version that you're probably expecting is:
Whenever you hit an enemy with a melee attack, you have a chance to create an aftershock under that enemy.
The big difference here is that you don't actually have to hit the enemy with the melee attack and the "nearby" range is calculated from the player.
From those videos, it appears to be functioning as expected and described.

Because we don't guarantee any player suggested changes until it's done. It would have to go through the same design process as anything else. I can't greenlight ideas on my own. I also don't even see it there so it's got a 0% chance right now. We don't take ideas from this channel and I'm sorry but I won't personally champion it because I don't agree with it.
We get a lot of player submitted ideas. TONS of fantastic ideas don't get made because we just don't have the time to do them all.
is not about that, is about clunky interactions. i was playing upheveal with werebear , but it was easier to record the videos while being on humanoid
and since werebear is not a popular class that interaction is going to always be under the radar for a while (or even forever).
The ideas that others players are bringing for X mechanic are 5 time bigger than the one that im asking for . like you said it could be "under the enemie" from "around the player" or when you hit"

Even if it was an objectively good suggestion and easy to put in (I don't think it's objectively good). Mike already mentioned they're past gold lock, it's simply too late to introduce more changes for season 3. So even if it was the best suggestion ever it would most likely have to wait until season 4.

Volume of requests doesn't actually matter that much. Seeing that a suggestions has some sort of support is a plus but it still gets evaluated all the same. It might move up the line if we see a really really large volume.

Either load up Windows on the machine and play it that way or there is probably some special way to run windows only software inside of MacOS.

not trying to sound entitled because i know it's a very standard thing in the industry but if everything is ready two weeks before the patch already, what do you do instead of releasing it? tons of bug testing and actually finding a lot of these critical bugs? working on 1.4? or just taking some well deserved rest?
i know you can't just randomly release the patch earlier since a date was already communicated to players a while ago, I'm just wondering the reason behind the weeks long delay between your "gold lock" and the release: just a safety net in case you have to cram, or is there more to it?
There are still quite a few bugs that will be caught and fixed. Since any change has the potential to add more bugs that could be worse, we rank the changes by severity and risk. If the severity outranks the risk and it tests well, it gets added to the launch version. If not, it gets pushed to the first hotfix and is tested more. This is why that first hotfix often comes pretty quick and often had a lot of stuff in it.
Given the quality of the build right now, a smooth launch is more important than fixing a couple more little minor issues and way more important than making a little design change like this one. Especially one which is debatable if it would even be a good thing or not.
It's kinda risky to do that and avoid spoiling something we didn't intend to yet. Last time it went really well and I hope we do it again. We just are restricting the "on air" appearances this patch to the usual dev streams only.
I do expect it to go back to normal next session.

T8 affixes question... so since the Rune of Evolution randomly upgrades a T7 affix on an item to T8.... can i then use a Rune of Havoc to move the T8 to another affix?

Going from T7 to T8 will greatly increase the potency of the Affix, often granting 50% to 100% additional effect over existing T7 affixes.

I read through that , and if my math isnt totally wrong a T8 Affix for % damage on a Two handed weapon is 385% - 477%
50-100% more would mean it starts at 576% and ends on 768% , but the affix table is still a table with mnor maths behing it.
And it Seals the T8, so you'd have an extra slot to craft something onto. 6 affixes on one item is going to take a lot of crafting attempts
Can reforged set items be made into primordial exalted items with the set affix bumping up to a possible tier 8?
Assuming you managed to use a rune to switch your affixes around and managed to get lucky enough for the set affix to hit tier 7

As someone who prefers to play with perma minions rather than temporary ones, one of the biggest drawbacks to summon abomination was that it forced you to hard cap at 5 summon skeletons and/or mages and locked you out of the more interesting addons like the zombie vomit and the tail slam.
I saw that summon abomination was one of the icons for minion skills to be reworked, has there been steps taken to make the abomination more compelling and interesting as a permanent minion?

Regrading primordial exalted items... how are stat weights treated? Is a T8 Increased Health% affix on a body armor slot going to be worth more hitpoints than on a belt slot? Or since you are limited to 1 affix on your entire build will the stats be the same just for that t8 affix?
i hope there will be a way to temporary disable primordial affix on items, so it would be less annoying to switch items around.
Each item slot has an affix weighting that applies to all affixes at the same rate.
There is not and I'm not sure how that would help. It would be the same as taking the item off.
Will the the attack speed on weapons be on the lower end as attack speed is normally a hard stat to get at 100% more then t7 your adding 96% attacks speed to the game
doesn't that just mean 2h weapon + body armor slot are the only viable slots to slam your t8 then? otherwise you're just having stat waste and loss of power potential

I don't agree with that. (sorry, never know how to answer negative questions properly).
Those slots might be needed to have specific uniques in them for your build. And you might need specific things that only appear on other slots to be the T8.
can we just find a primordial exalted dropping from a monster or the only way to get t8 is crafting with the new rune?
Are all t8's going to be double the strength of t7 or is something like attack speed going to be lower like 70% stronger to make sure that we don't to much of 1 stat because right now its hard to get over 200% increased attacks speed on full builds but now i can get it from 1 item

It's fine to disagree you're good 😂 . In my eyes the 1 primordial item is already the limitation and you already need to have that item compete with other items - those requirements and build design restrictions don't appear because of item weight. The item weight just means in the event you're able to choose between a body armor, a ring, and an amulet (say if those are your "free" slots), you pick body armor every single time because it just offers more stats. This isn't me saying this design is "wrong" ... but I do see this further restricting a system that already has some major restrictions built into it. I just wonder if keeping the weight attached to the tier 8 specifically is best

or if your a stat stacker like shield bash with 3000 block effect t8 i do think some slots will go un used buts thats fine nothing 5-6 slots is plenty of veratiy
The other exceptions will be builds that are locked on having unique weapons/body armours. The T8 is sealed so you would need to gain the T8 elsewhere as it can't be applied to uniques.

when you're doing a single T7 item it's guaranteed but then when you get high enough where you're rolling Dual T7 affixes, it gets a little nutty.
