After playing around with different Idol Altar layouts, in the Build Planner, I think that DOT builds are likely to benefit from the changes the most. why? Idols are usually the main source of DOT duration. By multiplying the duration affix, we multiply the damage. Some builds, e.g. timerot, will be crazy broken 🙂

Season 2 was a blast in terms of expansion on the crafting system, as well as the weaver tree which lets you "imprint" gear such that it can drop a little bit more frequently from certain sources. And it was a little overtuned.

We play these games not for development of character we play the role of, we play these games for generic blank slate goes out mowing creepies and crawlies and friend-shaped entities that would rather murder you than hug you. And then fights gods at the end of it all.

PoE did try hard to give their playable characters personality in a way, but that also kind of falls apart once you get into the end-game, and it's probably because of the dynamic nature of end-game that would make it a lot of effort to make the characters feel alive as we play them.

I would also question the need for such lengths of character development, since characters that are fleshed out in detail can become bothersome to some people and thus makes certain classes a little irksome to play as, in a game that's more about us guiding our pixel puppets along :p

I have 2 MG characters in my roster that never made it to level 100 due to sheer me not enjoying sitting in the bazaar, going to the right merchant for the gear piece that I wanted to sell, sorting by minimum, remembering that selling items generates faction points and most of the time there would be a lot of 0 gold entries and I could just throw 1 more in and pray it gives me the points at least, but rarely any actual gold.

one of the main draws of going primalist is their horizontal (4x1) idol that can roll up to 7 more bees per 10 seconds. Of which you can have 4 on a certain altar.
I'm not knowledgeable, but do other classes get that affix?
Seems that only Mage can get bees as an affix in the form of elemental bees of random elements on their 1x4(Huge) idols.
All other idols can get bees per 10 seconds as a corruption affix, which would probably be a fool's errand to try to get unless your build is utterly idol independent and you can just throw in all the bees per 10 seconds corrupted idols you get your hands on.

New content comes to legacy server as well. So if you start now on legacy, you can continue when the new season drops on Thursday. This game is a perfect middle ground between d4 and poe in my mind. The crafting and inventory QOL is MUCH MUCH Better than d4 and crafting is much easier than POE. All my opinion of course but I find the game the perfect balance between the two.

compared to D4, LE's endgame is wonderful. its mostly defined by a really strong loot chase. however the amount of different kinds of mechanic farms isn't really high, you mostly just have monoliths for everything but there are also key-entry dungeons that have unique rewards

LE's got a couple of "build a boss" mechanics in the form of nemeses and rift beasts, as well as the exiled mages that just spawn a miniboss, caches which are basically just relatively large chests in maps, and the new omen windows which are "kill monsters in a circle then kill the boss"

overall i feel like it has a similar amount of endgame content right now to POE2, with the caveat that LE has much much better crafting and itemisation than POE2 right now

I think I spent half a day cooking up a bee build. Most of it was decent-ish, but clunky and wonky conceptually that I progressed it into a mixed companions that do their own skills + bees build with spriggan form for a bunch of defense.

The only actions you can take with a corrupted item if you no longer have any use for it are to shatter the item for affixes, sacrifice it at the Sacrificial Altar, sell it, or keep it as a memento from your item journey. I think the pool of drops favors the class you play.

It's not impossible to get equipment for other classes, but you more frequently get your class.

The whole deal with the build is that as long as you keep the explosions you are borderline immortal and the explosions automatically spawn more minions to explode so the apm is not very high

The downside is that every time you log in you have to pre-summon the whole army

The most important stats are skill lvl+/minion dmg and +necrotic dmg for the minions

I play ssf so the build is VERY good to gear urself since it's cheap and very very secure

Now that I put the build together I suddenly wanna play it again

You basically generate ward faster than the enemy can drain it
