Same for here. I was "lucky" to be born "poor" in Canada instead of the US. I had decent schooling, never had many health issues and when I did it was free, decent chance to get into a good career without debt, etc. Safety nets that don't have as many low income traps, etc.

I'd argue youtube is good for a quick overview, it's really hard to get into the nitty gritty in video format without making it far to long/dense. Webpage is nice to casually mouse over gear and nodes to get a more comprehensive view.

That's why most PoE players like watching a video then just getting a PoB (3rd party build calculator) of the build.

There isn't a great build calculator for LE, so maxroll's builder is probably one of the better choices atm

what are you doing

Your gear is pretty decent, some thoughts on making the uber fight easier with minor changes / upgrades;

• Can get another 60% increased on a good roll Unstable Core 1LP, fairly realistic to get well rolled 1LP on this.
• You can get a 4LP Ladle by farming a bunch of Mage echo (can imprint it, but its rare) then you can Strife the bad ones and Nemesis / Turtle over and over until you get 4LP. It will never turn into a legendary. Missing a lot of damage here.
• 2LP Mana guide is about 1 in 8 for COF, pretty realistic upgrade.
• 2LP Fragment is 1 in 6
• Second 1LP T7 RR will help a lot, you already have swiftness from Phantom Mire so crab ring isn't useful.
• Your Blood Boots are 5 int, 1LP is about 1 in 3, should be able to get 8 int pretty easily.
• You have low roll shred on your Ladle and no shred elsewhere, you are missing a massive amount of damage from armor shred. High roll ladle will make a big difference. You also don't have many hits because of the T7 LB belt instead of T8. Ideally you want around 100 shred stacks.
• Uber relic is very low roll, missing 8 int here.
• Until you get better gear I'd recommend either getting spell crit slams or use Blood Mage gloves.
• You also aren't capped on Physical, and Void resist which are by far the most important for Uberroth. Your phys is 40, you are taking a lot of extra damage here. Swap all your 1x1 idols for Phys imo.
• Your 2x2 idols aren't super great, a few prophecies should get big upgrades here.
• Your LB tree is missing a point? Should be 27 total with 5/5 in the Extra spark damage node.
• You have % lightning damage instead of Lightning Shred Blessing, missing some damage here.
• Missing the flat armor blessing, a lot of % mitigation missing here.
• No wand crit multi nodes in RM tree, these are decent chunk of damage.

yeah it's roughly a 11% +/- damage multiplier to use 2 handed with that node vs 1 hander (not counting haste), but it also gives you a bunch of defenses. Also of course if you have a special two handed weapon that works really well with your build then it's even better.

Attack speed might feel really slow though going from a 1 hander to a two hander which has natrually slower attack speed with the 10% reduced attack speed on top with that node, so keep that in mind. It still comes out ahead dps wise, but might not feel as smooth

I always have issues with how the keyboard is configured. I don't like all the function keys between ctrl and alt, I need the F1+ keys to be seperated from the rest of the keys, same with arrows, home/insert, and num pad. People seem to like making space bars really small for some reason too.

Fan art is subjective to the creative talents of each person. It can't and should not be compared to anything else. It doesn't match anything else in the community like feedback or a suggestion. It's treated as a gift and expression of the creator.

As I said, we view Fan Art as a gift. We will never ask for it, but when it's made we do share it with the studio. Knowing that we created something that inspired another is a gift in itself.

And also, we try not to make promises. If we promised something and then something prevented us from making good on said promise, then we do as we have always done and apologize for the error and work to make up for it. As a CM, you will never hear us make a promise on behalf of the studio. We cannot control things that involve the development of LE. What we can promise is to be as open and honest with everyone as we reasonably can be. If the studio at large promises something, it's most likely because we already have the plan in motion and we are comfortable sharing the idea.

The general trend has been more powerful characters as we get access to better gear and more options to improve our character.

But when you see stuff like 10k, 20k, etc. corruption that's far beyond intended territory. These are builds that do many times more damage than intended due to either a bug or some unforeseen interaction, or way higher than accounted for damage scaling.

Most of these absurd corruption builds are glass cannons since pretty much everything is a oneshot eventually. And often rogue since they have strong damage avoid mechanics.

not every skill can lead to a good build, Flame Reave is a tough one. I think it's probably possible to make something decent with the spell to melee conversion and some other multis you can get for melees with spell blade but idk if it would be competitive with shatter strike or LB

Yea its kinda a "balance" of consuming mana at a similar rate what you can generate. So balancing attack speed, number of echos, max mana. Idk how much 1.3 changed it but iirc I found double echo started to feel good around 1500 mana with a bit of extra attack speed

It looks pretty cool to me, I've seen searing touch flame reave a couple times and it seems like one of the better options to build around the skill imo. Some ideas I wanted to try with flame reave was a hybrid BBC + vilatria + legends for lightning and lightning pen scaling but didn't get around to it, or maybe some sort of mourningfrost since it double dips on melee and spell flat.

I feel like exile boots might be better here? Since they give dex and int which also gives you a lot of crit and % damage, same amount of mobility.

Not a melee build expert but no doom setup feels like a lot of missing damage, idk if it fits in here though. If not, double RR seems good to fix your res, bit more defense, DR and the all attr.

Maybe uber gloves here would be nice to help with defense and still get attack speed? Fire shred would be nice here, you could get it from your fire aura or blessing.

Seems like you heavily prioritize "increased damage" when you already get a decent chunk from passives, probably still high value but maybe not at the cost of other things. I also think Uber relic would help a lot here, I'm not sure how worth the nest is? But I guess you benefit from all the stats at least.

Curious on the math but maybe melee attack speed slam on wep beats flat, since you have so much already? It also gives you damage ramp quicker with your searing blades.

You are also missing a lot of damage from no armor shred or fire shred.

Overall clear looks pretty decent tbh, though single target is on the lower side and survivability doesn't look super high.

To answer the suggestion, I'll tell you what i tested so you can consider it if you try to build one better:
-For the Vilatria hybrid, I tried it out and it's quite underwhelming because the hybrid node for the spell divides all the adaptive damage we have in two... making the skill scale effectivelyonly with elementale and melee damage rather than fire and lightning damage. Because of this we lose idols increased damage (except for the ornate who give us elemental melee on the prefix only) , so we lose a chunk of bonus there. Also, we can't get effectively penetration unless we use a "Transcriber's graver" sword, which sucks 😂

• The Uby gloves are a good idea, in the showcase i didn't want to use any Uby item just to grant availability. it could boost survivability quite a lot.
• I tried the fire aura node, but eventually ditched it because we don't really stay that close to enemies or bosses usually. (also because of the mid survivabilty, which actually benefits from staying at arms length).

I really hope somebody will pick this build up and improve it. And if someone can do it, that's you @carmine smelt 😛

#🎥┃video-shoutout message here is what the LB looks like. It won't kill uber as quick as bear but it's still faster than most builds and also the clear feels better. Definitely a more well rounded build than some others that sacrifice clear for boss killing or vice versa.

Scales very well with gear and imo one of the more fun builds I've played once you get a lot of cast speed.

It's pretty simple mostly, INT > CSM / CS > PEN > INCREASED > DEFENSE

you need to do a bit of balancing to get 100% crit though

another is uber relic + spell crit body armour, you want 77 unstable to do this

Ring can be RR, Julra, or Ferebor. Glove can be Blood Mage or Weaver, maybe Phantom swiftness glove. Relic can be TH or Uber. Belt can be T7 LB or Orians.
