As we are preparing for the release of Cult of the Lamb, we are marking some changes to the server. You have probably already noticed that some channels and roles have been cleaned up. More is to come as we get closer to release.
With that said, we are also tightening the #😈・rules when it comes to spam, NSFW or otherwise "edgy" content. We want this server to be a safe space for everyone, so messages deemed to break the rules will be removed, and we will more frequently hand out stricter punishments to repeat offenders. We ask everybody to please use the correct channels for their posts, and to be respectful. Remember, we consider this a "PG-13" server, shock humor or otherwise offensive content is not welcome.

**We are lunching in 10 DAYS! (and other news) **
Yes, you read that right, Cult of the Lamb will launch at lunch time (EDT) on August 11. When is lunch time? Well that's part of the fun! @everyone can expect it to be available on all platforms around the middle of the day-ish on August 11. (EDT - New York timezone)
⏲️ As the final countdown has begun, @iron wedge is delivering the 10 Commandments (CoLambments?) in #cotl-countdown. Check that channel each day to see new advice and info about the game.
🙏 We are still working on Switch pre-orders. We know that people are anxious to secure the Cthulhu Follower Form bonus, but we will ensure that there is adequate time to obtain it on Switch! **Cult of the Lamb Nintendo Switch Pre-orders are LIVE! **
To thank @everyone for being patient with the delay,** the Cthulhu Follower Form will be available on Nintendo Switch until August 25!** It will appear as free DLC on the Nintendo eShop, so anyone who owns Cult of the Lamb on Switch by Aug 25 will be able to add it to their game.
The Cultist Pack DLC and the Cultist Edition will be available on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch! Now that we have Pre-orders set up on Switch, we are getting the DLC ready for all console stores. It contains 5 exclusive Follower Forms and 7 Decorations!
You may have seen that some creators have been playing more of the game today. The version they are playing is not the full game! They are helping us find last-minute bugs and test Twitch Integration. However, you should watch out for spoilers if that's important to you. With our Twitch extension, viewers can customize their own Followers, contribute to Cult goals and cause benefits or hindrances to a streamer's gameplay. All of these can be turned on or off at any time! You can install the Twitch extension to participate as a viewer or streamer by searching for "Companion of the Lamb" in your Twitch Creator Dashboard. The lead dev of the Extension @wooden olive will post information and patch notes in #📸・twitch-integration

New 1.0.9 Patch dropped. Here is the rundown! (Steam)
Followers will harvest crops when player is away from the base
Bishops can no longer be knocked outside of the play area causing the heart of the heretic to be unreachable
Added various safeguards and fallbacks against save data corruption including automatic attempted recovery
Corrupted save data will no longer lock the user out of the game entirely
The game will be automatically paused when left idle for over 10 minutes
Fixed incorrect roman numeral number for 29
If the player happens to die after killing a bishop and before taking the heart of the heretic, they’ll be able to go back and fight the boss again to receive the heart

A word on modding, editing files, and the Cult of the Lamb Discord:
As has been stated in the past, the developers are actively considering mod support. While it may be something that can happen in the future, the fact of the matter is that right now it is not supported.
Since there is no way for us to guarantee that the mods or other tools being sent in the chat are safe, we cannot host these files in the Discord. This means that if you want to share your mods, recommend tools or send download links, this has to be done somewhere outside of the official Discord server. We want to keep everyone safe, and make sure that malware is not being spread in the Discord. If the game officially supports mods in the future, we may host a space for that in the Discord, but until then sharing of these files will be banned in the Discord. We will update #😈・rules to reflect this change.

PlayStation and Xbox players, we're working on a hotfix for bugs that occur in Helob's shop and opening chests while wearing the white fleece.
Like any console update, it'll need to go through testing and the submission process, but we will get it to you as soon as we can!
We're hoping that backend changes in the next update will improve performance for Switch players! This update also includes MANY bug fixes.
It's currently in the submission process so we are praying that it'll go live soon 🙏

Along with seasonal events, we've been working on a FREE major content update that will add more depth to combat and dungeon gameplay based on your feedback. There's a lot more in the pipeline so we don't have a timeline for this major content update right now.
In the meantime, we are still working on fixing issues and improving performance across ALL platforms!

**TWITCH DROPS **
You can obtain these Twitch Emote Follower Forms by watching participating Twitch channels playing Cult of the Lamb! Each hour of watch time will unlock a new Follower Form.
You can confirm whether the channel is participating in our Drops campaign by clicking your Twitch profile picture and finding the "Drops" page. If the Drops are active on that channel, it will increase your watch time progress. A message may also pop up above chat if the Drops are active.
You'll also need to "Connect" your Twitch account on this webpage. https://twitch.cultofthelamb.com This is the same webpage that you'll be directed to with the "Connect" button on Twitch.
And finally, we will be sending emails with the Drops rewards over time. Please be patient and there will be a lot of them to get through! We're aiming for within 72 hours after the rewards are claimed.

Your Book of Doctrines will also now display your statistics - your Crusades, Kills, Followers, and their fates. A great way to keep track of the holy history of the Lamb!
Blessed be thy controller.
Some have a specific way to play - we hear you! Fully customise your controls for optimal heretic-slaying efficiency.
Blessed be thy cooking… and fishing.
A successful Cult means a lot of mouths to feed! You will now be able to enable auto-cooking and auto-fishing from the Accessibility menu in Settings. That’s right, every dish and fish will be an automatic success!

We get it, you’re a busy Lamb, you don’t have time to Bless every. Single. Follower. Well, fret no more - the Lamb can now Bless, Inspire, or Intimidate multiple Followers at once within an area. You get a Blessing, you get a Blessing!

Praise our great Lamblord for solving our housing crisis! In a Shared Shelter, three Followers can share one roof that will never collapse.
Crypt
Lay multiple Followers to rest in their final and eternal sleepover with the introduction of the Crypt! A way to keep graveyards small, and avoid those nasty rotting corpses while each upgrade stores more bodies.
Organised Farming
Love a well-tended garden? Farm Plot Signs let your farming Followers organise your crops! Choose a certain crop for the sign and the Follower will plant those seeds around it.

Which Bishops are the older or younger siblings?

Will we get more lore related to side characters, such as The Fox or Midas?

They're certainly not as dead as you'd want them to be.
The game mentions of The Lamb “becoming stronger” every time they are killed. Is this an actual mechanic in the game where the base power of Lamb grows over time, or is it just referencing unlocking stat boosts at the Temple?
It is referencing the Temple, also referencing the player improving as they simply get better at the game. Get good!

-Fixed an issue where the title may crash after using a relic
-Fixed an issue where Fishing out the Beak of the Fowler relic does not play out the unlock animation and impaired the game's functionality.
-Fixed an issue where the title became unresponsive upon unlocking certain relics.
-Fixed an issue where Eye of the Fervant interrupted the charging of Curses by the playable character.
-Fixed an issue where a redundant text in the inventory menu when the playable character has no relic equipped.
-Fixed an issue where some of the Heket's dialogues are not affected by the text scale
-Fixed an issue where the followers' faces displayed in the Notifications in the Cult tab menu are inconsistent with the faces from the UI prompts displayed during the gameplay
-Fixed an issue where The Arachnid card effectively lowers the poison damage dealt by the high-level Bane weapon
-Fixed an issue where the Tennis Wizard and Archers became passive and freeze without animation if the line of sight is broken after their animation attack

How to get Webber:
||When killing spiders at the base, there is a chance a skull will spawn. Bury this skull in a grave for the Webber Follower to appear! This Follower will have a trail of spidery friends following along behind. This new Follower form includes a sinister selection of variants too!

||You will need to unlock this Follower first to access the new Penitence mode, and unlock the new décor!||

Penitence Mode 🎮
Arise, Lamb! Sate your ravenous hunger, and rest your weary eyes.
This is a brand new mode that brings in survival mechanics inspired by Don't Starve - Hunger, and Sleep!
When either bar is too low or empty, a mysterious timer will appear. You will take damage each time it counts down. Be sure to rest and feed your hungry little Lamb or not only will they perish, it will be game over... permanently. To play this new mode, select it when starting a new game (just like the Permadeath mode!).
The key to survival will be to manage both your Hunger and Sleep levels - they will continue to go down, even when on crusades. You will be able to abandon a crusade early, but this will come at a slight cost of some of the resources you gathered.

Hey @everyone! I think most of you have seen the post above, but I just wanted to be extra clear.
Are we deleting Cult of the Lamb due to the Unity fee changes brought down by the iron hand of the Unity execs? No! We're not!!
Our post on X got sensationalised by the media... like, a lot! 👀
We take these fee changes very seriously, as this change affects not only us, but all indie game developers. With Unity introducing a Runtime Fee based on game installs, this will definitely hurt us, a small team that specialises in Unity games!
So, what does this change mean for Cult of the Lamb?
Some of you may have already seen the message to Unity we posted on X a couple of days ago, where we mentioned we have future projects in the pipeline that were initially planned to be developed in Unity. This change would result in significant delays, since our team would have to acquire an entirely different skillset!
If you're interested to hear more on our take regarding the decision, check out the interviews with Gamespot and Gamesradar, linked below. All in all, we sincerely hope they can deliver new management, fair pricing and a core focus on developers. This change is an absolute stinker, at best.
In the meantime, whilst we navigate what this change will mean for our future game development, we are pushing very hard on the next major content update. It is still coming. Here is a tiny teaser, a little secret animation, of what will soon be in game...

Firstly, thank you for all of your support since we dropped our teaser trailer. Myself and the rest of the Massive Monster team are so excited for you to get stuck into SINS OF THE FLESH when it releases on the 16th! 
Secondly, a gentle reminder that** the next update does not change the age rating of the game or the server.** Please be mindful that there are minors in this fanbase, and refrain from making explicit sexual comments. These are not tolerated here.
I would also like to remind everyone to please be respectful to other users in the server. Everyone is entitled to enjoy Cult of the Lamb in their own way, whether it's with a favourite character or a headcanon, or anything else. If you see something or feel uncomfortable with a situation or user, tell us - tag myself or the other mods, open a ticket in the server or DM me or the mod team directly so we can be made aware, and take action. The next few weeks are going to be busy for this server, and we don't want to miss anything. 🙏

We're so, so close to Sins of the Flesh, we can hardly stand it! If you're too curious and want to peek at what is to come, selected streamers are live on Twitch showing off Cult of the Lamb and all the new Sins of the Flesh goodness early! Don't want to be spoiled? Open the stream up with the video sound on, but the tab sound muted
A select few will also have Twitch Drops enabled, allowing you to snag the elusive new Gnome decor - Pea, Owe, and Geeh! Make sure to grab these while you can
These gnomes will be publicly released at a later date, but you can get them early during this month's Drops campaign!
Because there are so many streamers, we can't list 'em all - if you head to Twitch and search who's streaming Cult of the Lamb, they should mention in the stream title if Drops are enabled! Drops are for the Steam PC version of Cult of the Lamb.

- Please please bug report any issues either in-game, here on Discord, or in our console bug report form. https://bit.ly/COTL-ConsoleBugReport . Please be patient with us while we work on fixes.
- How to access new stuff? Make sure you have beat 3x bishops already (or have gone past this stage) then conduct a sermon.
- What's in the update? #🎉・news-and-patchnotes message
- **My Damned Follower died! How do I get them back? ** Defeat them 3 times during a crusade. Revive them via a ritual afterwards.
- The mushroom from the new quest got eaten by a bird! - we're aware of this bug and are working on a fix.

Following some bug reports, we have rapid patched out some pesky bugs that snuck their way in.** This patch will come to console platforms soon, at a later date. **
Patch Notes 1.3.3 for PC
- Fixed birds stealing a certain special crop (if this bug occurred, this crop will appear in players inventory on first load)
- Fixed issue with morgues and crypts not displaying UI
- Fixed webber followers requesting to mate
- Fixed occasional softlock when trying to hatch an egg
- Fixed issue where weapons were being replaced by curses in the final boss fight
- Fixed occasional softlock when nurturing child at night time
- Fixed an occasional crash when followers are eating
- Fixed Disciples achievement not popping

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR, CULTISTS! 
As you may have noticed, you have been gifted a truly blessed chest full of new decorations to celebrate the Lunar New Year! @everyone
🌸 Fortuitous Tree: blooms when old meets new.
🐉 Fortuitous Statue: for luck, strength, and health.
🏮 Fortuitous Lantern: a beacon for new beginnings.
Set between the 3rd-17th of February, you will be able to discover the Lunar New Year event chest next to your shrine upon loading into your base! This will auto unlock from the start in quick game modes, but you have to complete Ratau's tutorial in order to get it in normal mode. These decorations are here to stay once unlocked! ✨

All of the fixes from this patch (1.3.5) will also be bundled with all the previous fixes we released in 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 for console (Nintendo Switch, PS, Xbox) at a later date soon. We're just doing some final testing on these before release.

- Fixed Sozo not giving the option to decline his quest

- Fixed some localisation displaying incorrect languages

- Fixed certain special followers from being able to mate with one another. This refers to ||Narinder mating with Aym and Baal||, which they will no longer be able to do.
- Fixed a certain special follower not drinking reserved drinks
- Fixed followers born in the cult requesting for you to find their sibling in the dungeon
- Potential fix for a bug where the player is locked inside the resurrection room. Please bug report if this doesn't fix this particular issue!

Faithful followers! Thank you for the patience and support while our team worked relentlessly to address as many of the pesky bugs as possible!
The upcoming patch should deliver better stability by addressing crashes and soft locks as reported by the community, as well as delivering other major to minor issues fixes.

- Switch Achievements sometimes resetting or not completing.

- Golden eggs occasionally may cause a softlock when hatching.
- Egg meals occasionally vanish.

Small update: We're looking into the bugs you have been reporting. I am just one person so please be patient with me! 
**Steam Remote Play Issues **
If both players are using a keyboard, Steam seems to recognise it as the same keyboard - which is an issue universal across Steam Remote Play. However there are multiple third party workarounds that you can try one by one until you find which works -> https://steamcommunity.com/groups/homestream/discussions/0/1660069015241352820/. Otherwise please have at least 1 player using a controller.
Secondly, please double check you have connected properly with Steam Remote Play Together correctly, and navigate to the pause menu, where you should be able to add in The Goat. If you're unable to move, try disconnecting and reconnecting, and try changing the permissions in the Remote Play settings on the overlay. If you continue to experience issues with this, please report this in-game via the bug report form in the pause menu.
Unlocking Goat Fleece:
**We're aware of this issue where it doesn't appear, and working on a fix/change for it! **
For now try both of the following: either be defeated in a crusade to unlock corrupted relics/tarots, then head to the crown menu. OR please try enabling co-op mode, then go to the Crown Menu and see if makes the Fleece appear for you.

We're literally building a Cult of the Lamb Temple to celebrate the undying love of two devoted Cultists - the ceremonies will take place on** October 13th, at PAXAus**!
The Temple will be located next to the Handheld Lounge and the entrance to the Main Theatre, so there will be plenty of space for those of you attending PAX Australia to come and join the congregation and celebrate with the happy couples as they tie the knot!

**One Last Note From Us **
As many of you know, our Audio Director and long-time friend, Narayana Johnson AKA Riverboy, passed away earlier this year. Narayana had a huge hand in the creation of the music and voice-over work for Woolhaven before he passed.
These songs are some of our favourites he ever made, and with the help of Power Up Audio and Arrowbird, who had been working closely over the last couple of years on the soundtrack with Riverboy, they have helped create the sound of Woolhaven from Narayana's work.
A lot of our boy is in this update, it is truly something special - we're super excited to share more information with you very soon.

Woolhaven Bugs Update 
Hi all! We are aware of some commonly reported bugs such as:
Known Issues
- [Mac OS] Blackscreen bug
- Unable to see description of items, relics, curses, etc during crusades
- Locked chain weapon controls while using the Fleece of Hobbled Heels
- Missing cinematic at the top of the mountain causing a softlock
- Stuck at the end of the first dungeon in Woolhaven (if this happens, try turning off vsync fast in NVIDIA settings)
- Animal feeding quest not registering correctly
- Softlock when trying to move a SnowLamb
- Achievements not unlocking correctly
Please be patient while we look into these issues and work on fixing all bugs, both the ones on the above list and any you have reported to us.

Hey Cultists - here's the patch notes for the latest patch 1.5.16 on Steam (PC).
We are aware of many commonly known issues on consoles, and working on getting a patch out for many critical issues as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!

- [MacOS] Fix for black screen caused by missing cinematic.
- Fixed dying after certain boss fights
- Fixed Maker of Legends Achievement not triggering (will trigger for users who have all legendary weapons)
- Fixed player being stuck unable to attack
- Fixed softlock due to certain rot enemies
- Fixed missing characters in Chinese (Traditional) and Chinese (Simplified)
- Fixed Full Flock Achievement not triggering without the Woolhaven skins
- Fixed Tarot card menu showing incorrect amount when user does not have Woolhaven
- Fixed Full Deck Achievement not triggering when user does not have Woolhaven
- Fix for players who are missing their final Talisman
- Fixed issue where followers were not moving or animating
- Fixed Chosen One egg from becoming rotten + fallback for users who experienced this issue
- Fixed issue where Chosen One gives you their quest however the quest was missing
- Fixed Charged Shards dropping as coins
- Fixed issue where Gofernon does not appear at the bottom of the base
- Fixed issue where users can not progress the game due to missing certain special Wool
- Fixed soft lock when depositing a lost soul to Yngya

We are aware of a separate black screen issue on Mac where the title is obscured with a large black circle/square at the centre of the screen on some AMD Mac devices. We're currently looking into this issue!

- Descriptions not showing up as intended on curses, relics, weapons, items, etc.
- Questlines such as the ranch animal feeding quest 'You Are What You Eat' not completing as intended
- Achievements not unlocking
- Softlocks in certain instances, including in certain dungeon rooms or when trying to move a SnowLamb

How to Report a Bug
If you come across a bug, please report it in https://discord.com/channels/353179320644141057/1027331787115995136 with as many details of the issue as possible. If you are on PC, please make sure to attach your save files, MM.log and Player.log.

Bug Fixing Patch 1.5.12 Live on Xbox and PlayStation
We have pushed out some critical fixes on Xbox One/Series X and PlayStation 4/5.
- Fixed soft lock occurring during an Ewefall dungeon crusade
- Fixed Maker of Legends Achievement not triggering (will trigger for users who have all legendary weapons)
- Fixed Swing of the Axe achievement not triggering (will trigger for users who have beaten this Boss)
Switch will get fixes above as well, we're just waiting on Nintendo to approve the patch.
We're also currently adding more fixes for a HUGE bug fixing patch, and while waiting for it to pass through the platform submission process, and will keep you updated once that's ready for release!

What's the inspiration for the gameplay of Cult of the Lamb?
How far in the development stage are you in?
Are you folks planning on making a Cult of the Lamb series of games, or is this a standalone in the Cult of the Lamb world?
How many years has Cult of the Lamb been in development?
Can you folks PLEASE add a possum in the game? PLEEEASE!
How much character customization will there be in terms of outfits, colors, or other wacky things?
Will there be plushies?
Will it be like The Binding of Isaac in a way that you can collect items and power ups during each run?
What's the expected ratio of time spent between dungeons and your cult camp?
Will the community be allowed or able to mod the game in the future?
Can we add/remove different animals as cult members?
Will there be any red pandas that I can add to my cult??? Are there gonna be any Red Panda NPCs?
I'm more of a fan of rogue-lite games with a punch of permanent upgrades (Hades, Loop hero etc.) Are there the same kind of permanent upgrades in Cult of the lamb?
Do you become a God yourself?
Will there be trading Steam cards on the Cult of the Lamb launch?
Will you be able to customize your character at all? Like change clothes or a different species?
Will the camp area be customizable? Like, moving around buildings and decorations- sort of like Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

“As soon as we had the idea of the cults, we knew we wanted to bring in horror elements as well” reveals the game’s art director, James Pearmain. Unsurprisingly, horror films were a huge inspiration for Cult Of The Lamb. “We were inspired by things like Midsommar, and The Witch – and wanted to kind of juxtapose that vibe with our cute, colourful, art style.”

Thank you all for playing the demo, praising the lamb, and for your continued support!
We have been listening and wanted to take a moment to share a few updates:
- Work is being done on Mouse Support for Launch.
- We will change the Default Controls. Keyboard controls are completely re-mappable already + controllers have multiple layouts to choose from. This can be found in the Settings menu.)
- We will keep an eye on bug reports and will continue to fix anything that is reported
Speaking of bugs... We recently pushed as Hot Fix for the Cult of the Lamb Demo
🔥 FIXES
- Adjusted volume and additional settings as the game boots up.
- Fixed soft lock if game entered attract mode while the settings menu was open
- Fixed Devolver splash volume
- Fixed lamb glitching during intro sequence on low FPS
- Fixed soft block when lamb tries to equip a curse and gets stuck on rocks
- Fixed lamb being able to move before conversations
- Fixed lamb harvesting berries whilst meditating
- Fixed interaction icon continuously increasing in size
- Identified Possible (but unconfirmed) fix for the black screen issue
