Both of you should fully reboot your systems. That usually fixes this. And your friend should make sure their system clock is set correctly, because an incorrect clock will prevent inviting and joining

I feel like we really need the ability to separate “Use” and “Reload” into different buttons on Xbox. Being on the same one makes alt-fire OCs basically unusable for me, because it will spit out a snowball after depositing, or after repairing Dottie, or while trying to grab a fossil off the wall, etc

A fair point that I actually agree with, maybe if we could cross-platform properly I would run into fewer jerks. I'd just hate to have the rest of the community have to deal with some of the people I have run into.

It is pretty close for me, I really like all the classes. Each one has a phenomenal toolkit that is good in different situations. Scout is great if people are ignoring secondary objectives and trying to speed run the primary even when I'm the host.

To save you the hassle. The game on each platform runs differently. Steam has the biggest cave gen, Xbox/windows and PlayStation are on the lower end. Therefore crossplay would not be possible. Crossplay can only really exist between Xbox and Windows because it’s a play anywhere title.

It's not only cave gen, though that is a factor because the last gen console hardware is not capable of supporting the cave gen. Steam has several features that aren't available on console, which means Steam would have to be downgraded to be compatible. Since downgrading Steam is pretty much unacceptable to Steam players, there's essentially no chance of Steam ever supporting cross-platform play.

Just as much of a barrier is the fact that DRG doesn't have multiplayer servers. Everything is peer-to-peer and each platform uses its own network to create the peer-to-peer connections. Since each platform's network does not talk to the other networks, there's currently no way for the game to communicate across platforms. The devs would have to invest in servers and create a system for the players on various platforms to connect to one another.

There's not really much you can mess up that can't be fixed; it's just copying the save you want into the correct folder and renaming it. In Windows Folder Options on the View tab you should uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" to make it easy to rename the file with the correct file extension

If you know how to copy, paste, and rename files, there's not really anything else to it.
Copy the Xbox save from the Xbox save folder and paste it in the Steam save folder.
Then rename the Xbox save to have the same file name and file extension as the Steam save (you will need to change the Steam save file name slightly, add a 1 or something to the end, because you can't have two files with the same name and extension in the same folder)

Hey y'all! Sorry if this isn't the right channel to ask, but has anyone ever had the issue where you have to verify and repair the game every single time you play through the XBOX app on PC? I'll verify and repair my files, play for a few hours and then quit the game through the "exit to windows" button in game, but I have to verify and repair the next time I play again. I've just dealt with it the last few playthroughs, but I'd like a fix if there is one.

I should add I have the PC game pass version, if that makes a difference.

Can't say I've heard of that happening repeatedly and consistently for others, which leads me to guess that it's something very specific to your system. I'd search online for that happening in general, not necessarily related to DRG, as there isn't any reason that I can think of that it would be related to DRG specifically (again, not happening for others).

My first suspicion goes towards some kind of issue with your Windows install, but that's only a guess in the absence of other information because it could easily be any number of things (third-party anti-virus software run rampant, lousy required peripheral software being lousy, etc.). If it were hardware-related, you would likely see additional issues beyond just DRG, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that files are corrupting due to hardware issues.

Steam to Windows is just:

1. Turn off "Hide extensions for known file types" on the View tab of File Explorer Options to make it easy to rename both file name and file extension.
2. Run the Windows version once and exit the tutorial back to the drop pod to make sure you have a Windows save.
3. Copy the Steam save from the Steam save file location, paste it into the Windows save file location, and rename the copy to the same name as the Windows save (you'll have to remove or rename the Windows save first because you can't have two files with the same name and extension in the same folder).

Hello miners. Yesterday I got DRG for gamepass on PC because of crossplay with xbox friends, and had great fun with friends. Today however, I get endless joining... screens when I want to play on random servers and friends cannot join me, I cannot send invites to my friends via the Xbox app for DRG and when I launch the game with 'accept invitation' from a friend in the launcher, again, i get the endless joining screen. On steam my game works perfect but somehow not on gamepass xbox launcher anymore. I reset my modem, I can still connect to other xbox games like minecraft and forza and re-installed after uninstalling on another drive. Anyone any idea how to fix this? Thank you

addition: On steam (press C to invite friends which works) , on Xbox PC Gamepass version (no C to invite friends and when I go to main menu, when I click on a + or press C... totally nothing happens).

This sounds unfortunately very similar to an issue that has been plaguing us on PlayStation version for over a year now.

The best fix we've found is switching your connection type (aka if WiFi, switch to Ethernet or vice versa)

My issue has been solved, thank goodness. For those interested: The culprit was Project Lasso. I assigned CCD0 (core 0-7 aka thread 0-15) of my AMD 5950X to the game like I always do with my games and then the game doesn't open the Xbox app to add friends when pressing C. Neither will it allow me to join random servers (infinite joining screen). I assigned all cores/threads back to the game (CCD0 and CCD1, core 0-15 aka thread 0-31) and everything works like it should.

What's the end game grind about? Purely cosmetic or overclocks that are really rare? Do they have any plans to the end game at all?

Weapon Overclocks are mostly time-gated, although you do now earn one (and a Blank Core which can be redeemed for another) for every promotion so you technically can now grind for them. But Overclocks don't have rarity; they're awarded at random. You can't grind for anything specific other than some of the cosmetics. You can grind to make your promotion tier level go up if you love to watch the numbers go up. And there is the seasonal Performance Pass to grind through

quick update camera movement when a prop is crazy bad aka it moves around too much

left thumbstick acts as camera movement when it should be right thumbstick while as a prop

Ok so once you get your player level (the number in the red box) to 25 you get an assignment that’s 4 missions long, after you complete that you go to the memorial hall where you can promote your class. Keep in mind it does cost some minerals and credits to promote and iirc the cost goes up as you progress along promotions

Also you have to do the assignment each time you reach lvl 25

After your first promotion you will unlock the forge, a tritilyte key for activating machine events and deep dives (note that you can only play a deep dive with promoted dwarves)

Oh and you unlock the weekly assignments you see in the assignment terminal

Oh yeah and something that was changed recently was that now when you promote (not including your very first promotion (don’t know if it means first first or first promotion of every dwarf) you get a blank matrix core, a weapon overclock and a cosmetic core

I think that’s most of it @frail prawn. Anyone else feel free to chip in if I got anything wrong or missed anything
