Yeah it's pretty rough. I joined two really nice level 50ish Greenbeards and a pretty experienced gunner and we made it to stage 3.

We just couldn't progress anywhere on 3, the second we got in we just were constantly swarmed and couldn't even get a resupply. It felt like an aquark infinite swarm. Didn't even pull an egg.

We tried it again and it went much smoother but the host's connection went out. It was pretty rough and our engineer glitched and fell through the ground/rubber banded to his death well over a half dozen times.

The best part: all three versions of Valheim — Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox — will have cross-play support for co-op survival. You don’t have to make new friends.

I tried using snowball. Using that overclock on a controller is a nightmare. I'm sure there's not another better keybinding, but having the "dump a bunch of ammo" button attached to the same button that does literally everything is such a pain. I'm that guy who froze the whole team while depositing.

If you're a very new player, you'll have to buy the ability first. It's a modification for your pickaxe which you can purchase from the Equipment Terminal. It becomes available for purchase when your dwarf hits level 4 for the first time.
Once you've bought the Power Attack modification, you can perform the Power Attack by using the pickaxe as usual and pressing the attack button. So for Xbox controller: while holding Left Trigger, press Right Trigger

Hello, I’m new here, and I wanted to ask something for PC: is there a potato-settings for graphics in this game. I don’t have a super high-end gaming laptop, but it’s only missing the necessary VRAM (512 MB Designated VRAM as opposed to the 1 GB needed). I looked it up, and the only other option is messing with BIOS, and I don’t trust my computer literacy enough to do it safely.

believe me. i play on steam with a laptop with 2gb vram, and i sometimes struggle with graphics. maybe its because the game is primarily cpu-intensive

honestly its not worth playing DRG on PS5 or series x/s once that update comes out since all its going to include is 4K 120hz and most people play on either 4K 60hz tvs and lower end monitors, so i think they should not even make a series X/S version

put those resources into something more productive like bug fixes and better features on xbox like name changing servers and beter options in game

after what jacob wrote of never having better cave gen added at all, i think its safe to play steam version if u want better cave gen or at the very least give windows build the option to toggle it with a warning and if xbox players wanna join then have a warning before you join saying You are about to join a game with better cave gen and might experience some performance issues do u wanna join

Even for games with modding support, consoles rarely allow the interesting mods anyway. I don't think we'd get too much out of modding support (i.e. we're not missing out too much as we likely wouldn't be allowed to have the most interesting mods)

so for the past few days ive been unable to join any games. no games from the server. i cant join friends thru my firends list and i cant accept invites from firends. it just says joining and nothing happens. im playing on xbox pc windows 10.

windows is up to date. nvidia drivers are up to date. deeprock is up to date. xbox app is up to date. ive uninstalled+ reinstalled DRG and xbox app. reset my data thru windows settings. reset my router and restarted my pc. i cant find any other fixes, just posts of people saying they have the same problem with no fix

i can still see active games thru the mission terminal but if i try to join i just get stuck on infinite joining. i went and did something else for about 20 mins and came back to the same joining screen

There's some account settings you can look at that might prevent multiplayer. Info about that can be found in the pinned messages in this channel. Other than that, definitely try rebooting your PC if you haven't already, and try logging out of your Xbox account via the Xbox app and then log back in. One last thing to look at is Gaming Services. Gaming Services might need to be repaired or uninstalled and reinstalled

There is the Xbox Networking check you could run: type "Xbox networking" in the Start menu to search for it quickly. It'll check that you're connecting to the Xbox network correctly and give you options to repair the setup if need be.
I feel like this doesn't doing much though; for me the network check always results in "Teredo is unable to qualify. This could prevent you from playing multiplayer games." I spent a few hours one day trying to resolve this status, but nothing I've done has ever changed that status and I've always been able to play multiplayer without issue.
So who knows what any of this Xbox Networking stuff actually means, but I figure I'd mention it as it can't hurt to try it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
