I figured the min requirements for VRC on Steam was more meant for if you play VR. I've friends that play on old Laptops VRChat. If configured properly VRChat can run on weak hardware.

Especially setting it on graphics preset DesktopLow helps a ton

your problem is not related to vrchat in any way, pinging the vrchat is an unwise option. But try this:

Right click your desktop and create a new file such as Notepad, Bitmap... quite literally anything except shortcut and folder.
When naming the file name it something abnormal thats not already associated (i.e named mine Test.testdog)
Go back to the file that accidentally associated and right click the file and choose to open with->Choose another app, ensure the checkbox is selected to always associate and scroll down to the bottom to browse for "Look for another app on this PC".
Navigate to your Desktop (or wherever you saved the file) and ensure the box at the bottom right is changed to "Show all files" you show now see the file you made, simply choose it and hit OK.
This will prompt and error, click out of it, you should now notice the file associate is now unassociated.

Yesterday, I connected using the G2 and I wasn't able to use the controllers to open any menu that would allow me to teleport back home. Since there are only so many buttons I can press, I wonder if there is a custom keybinding file available to run VRChat on the G2 (within SteamVR running inside WindowsMR)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll double check tonight. I may have had the Quest 2 plugged into the Link Cable when I tried the G2 yesterday. Plus, I do have a software installed that - when configured, which it is not - replaces the awful G2 controllers with Knuckle controllers. But I haven't set that up, yet, so it shouldn't do anything, yet.

1. download it
2. go into unity
3. import the correct sdk
4. import the avatar
5. find the avatars scene and click on it
6. add the vrc_avatardescriptor, and position it to the eyes of the model
