They are making a new vulkan driver called NVK & it already runs pretty well. It's still a good way behind proprietary in terms of performance, but it's getting there too. A few months ago it ran one game at 5fps, now it runs many at 30-60+ depending on the game

So basically if you just click to join a world normally it will take you to a pretty large group and it’ll be chaos. You have to click on the world to open up the world information page and look on the right side to find the different lobbies. The best lobbies for finding chill and mature people are the ones with about 25% of the world’s max capacity. So if a map has 40 max capacity, try to find a lobby with about 10 people. The other important thing is to know what worlds are good for chill people. My personal favorite world for literally every socializing purpose is called “Cuddle Me!” It’s just a really cute and cozy world with a bunch of cool chill spots, some options to watch youtube videos, and it’s filled with some really cool people most of the time.

Cuddle Me! does occasionally get chaos gremlins but if your group is chill the leader will usually just kick them

That’s also decent advice, sometimes you’ll know where the good people are by just sitting on the side and watching what people are doing. Sometimes a really nice person will just come up to you and people-watch with you, and you guys just chill out for a bit.

Hello! Im here to just talk of a concern i have and an issue i don’t know how to fix to see if some of y’all know what can be causing this. My vrchat app suddenly crashed sometimes mostly when im in private worlds and im just playing with one or two friends my game wont crash but once i load into public worlds even with little people my game will just allow me to be in those worlds from 1-5 minutes then crash. I wont get any errors in my pc to check it and try to fix it so i don’t know whats causing it. My graphics are all at low and my gpu can handle it very well even with heavy avatars. Just engage people genuinely and politely and you will be listened to and enabled. Also make sure to use Avatars that aren't to heavy. Check the Avatar details. If to many of those are in the deep red people won't enable you even if you were "trusted".
I have reached trusted rank in a month because I behaved nicely, made a lot of friends and engaged with people in public instances. Just normal behavior will improve not just your rank but also how people interact and pick up on you in the future

As many pointed out the ranks in themselves barely matter and its rather easy to reach the "User" rank in due time which is arguably the most important to reach for content creation. Ranking itself is not responsible for how others treat you and it can be argued that users who display their trusted rank openly also don't have it easy around certain type of players either.

That's correct. Foveated rendering requires eye tracking. If it doesn't know where you're looking it can't calculate where your peripheral vision would be.

And then you sit there trying to replicate what can't be replicated cus it's a mod issue

Quest still does not have EAC and will never have it. Previously there was a person who made an injector for quest that was open to the public and people made mods for it. There was a massive influx of people using it, until one thing broke and the owner of the mod loader decided to discontinue it (mostly due to the modding community being toxic)

Hey so random question beacuse idk where to ask this but has anyone ever had their jumping ability just stop in vrchat? I use a link cable and steam vr and one day i could jump and the next i couldn't. Idk what happened or how to fix it. I'm sure its some sort of keybind issue but ive tried looking it up to no avail. PS, i use my thumbstick click to jump so idk if that makes a difference. And ik its not my controllers cuz i just got my quest pro and it still doesnt work.

i mean, your experience would be harsh for vrchat, but you can probs make a amd rig with like... the lowest storage and moderate cpu and gpu pairing with at least 16gb of ram with the cheapest motherboard you can find. but thats like... if youre only ever going to use it for vr lol, you would value other parts of the pc more if youre going to use the pc for more which will make the pc cost more and more
