I want to report someone!

▶️ You should always use the Report button in VRChat first! ◀️

Reporting using the button in VRChat is the best way to let us know something is wrong. If you see avatars, worlds, images (stickers, emoji), group banners, or user icons that are harmful, please use the Report button.

If you must include video, pictures, or context regarding a behavioral problem from a user, event, or group, you can contact us through our moderation report form.

VRChat will never communicate to you through Discord DMs or through chatting in VRChat. If someone does, they are lying. Please report them to our Discord Chat Mods via #discord-tickets .

VRChat moderators will never identify themselves as moderators inside VRChat. If someone does, they are lying. Please report them through our moderation systems.

When you are sending us a report via our form:

• Describe what you're reporting clearly. Keep it short and succinct.
• Click on the offending user and click "View on Website". Link that page in your report.
• Include screenshots, video, or output logs if you can. They aren't bulletproof evidence, but they can help.

All reports made to VRChat are reviewed and responded to by a human.

How do I appeal a ban from VRChat?

You cannot appeal a ban on Discord, from within VRChat, or for another player.

When you appeal:

• Be truthful. We know why you got banned. Lying to us won't look good!
• Explain the reason for your appeal. Why should your ban be lifted? Do you understand why you were banned?
• Be concise. Just the basics, please. A short, to-the-point appeal is far more effective than a 20 page essay.
• Be kind. Our Trust and Safety agents want to help you, but if you're abusive, they will happily deny your appeal.
• Don't use AI. Trust us, we've seen a ton of them, and they're painfully obvious.

All appeals are reviewed and responded to by a human.

If your appeal is denied, we may not respond to further inquiries.
