Or, like you eluded to, it's a PC user with an avatar that had both PC/quest. On the PC side it had the full gogo, on the quest side it had nothing. So a quest user would clone avatar and be confused why it doesn't work and assume tomfoolery.

Been thinking about upgrading from quest 2 since it's been giving me issues for months now, been doing some looking into in terms of reviews for other standalone headsets since I don't own a pc atm. So far kinda split between the quest pro, pico 4, or vive xr elite. Been looking for a standalone that could potentially offer pcvr so the vive seems to be the best bang for the buck being just 100 more than the quest pro. (with budget being no more than 1100 I'd say) Any recommendations?

Yes I know about gogoloco but that's been a thing for a long time but like flight was always broken for quest and it only works on one specific avatar so seems odd

I got told a flashlight that works on quest breaks ToS somehow

Quest avatars don't support colliders, joints or rigid bodies.

Avatars that are flying would need to be PC/Quest as PC users could still fly using a collider, and quest users would see that, but be unable to use it themselves.

Quest also doesn't allow light sources on avatars.

Quest avatars that natively have these things are most likely breaking TOS as they would have required modification of the SDK to upload, which is against TOS.

anytime i want to log into VRChat it sends a code to my email and i have to put it in in order to log in. as someone who frequently switches between accounts, i find entering the username and password with that VR keyboard is tedious enough! id rather not have to open my email, read the code, put it in, each time.
maybe its just a me thing, but it would be great to have a feature of freely switching between lets say 3,4 accounts that u once log into and then u can just swap between.
as of now tho, is it possible to disable email confirmation? i dont even have 2FA on

1. Make sure you have virtual audio cable
2. Make sure your voicemeeter is set to input output
3. Go to windows settings and make sure under the volume mixer settings that the thing you want to use for music is set to either Aux or regular vm input
4. For virtual audio cable, all you need is windows TTS, and you select the speaker icon, then virtual audio cable, then done

In vrc, you should see a mic for your virtual cable

I got a question about a crashing issue I have

Sometimes when I load into a world I’ve never been to (or haven’t in awhile), my game will crash only while in the loading screen

The way it crashes is it loads the world the usual way, saying for example 20/50 mb or whatever

Then it switches screens to a picture of the thumbnail and it says “connecting” or whatever

Except the background is usually blue, but i know the game is going to crash cause the background is the steamvr void

It happens probably about 50% of the time i load into a new world

Last night i got unlucky and it happened 3 times when i visited 3 new worlds

Ive cleared my in game cache just a few days ago (still happened before and after doing this), and my computer has plenty of space left on it. So I just wonder what causes this?

the difference is smaller the higher you go. Theres a big difference beetween 30hz and 60hz, then a noticable difference between 60hz and 120hz, a slight difference between 120hz and 144hz, a difficult to notice difference between 144hz and 240hz and then a barely noticeable difference between 240hz and 360hz

The problem with lower refresh rates is also just how long a frame stays on the HMD and how long you have black frame insertion.
My BF cannot use any VR HMDs with 90Hz displays because of this. But as you just said, it's a relatively personal thing.
