That quest only requires you to progress towards the core, not to reach it. You only needed to warp 16 times.

Entering the galactic core takes you to the next galaxy in order (Euclid is 1, Hilbert Dimension is 2, etc - so if you entered the Euclid core, you get sent to Hilbert).

wd40, recalibrate the controller, add a deadzone to it, if everything fails then eaither replace analog stick or buy a new controller, went thru all of it with my joysticks
