the in-game speed on the ship dash is also way way off, at base i was at around 200u/sec, with upgrades im at around 930u/sec (in atmosphere) but in reality im not going multiple times faster the math just breaks

I looked a little deeper into this because I was curious. Gas giants are weirder than I expected! While we don't know for sure since nothing we can build can survive that deep, it seems likely that while gas giants do have more heavy elements than any other rocky world does, the pressure is so intense that even materials we'd normally call rocks become liquid. Though that brings me to a secondary finding, I'm not entirely sure there's much gas on a gas giant anymore. It seems like there would be enough pressure to force elements we'd normally assume were gasses into a liquid state. The universe sure is a weird place. There'd still be a bit of gas in the outer layer though.

That's the old lake, the one where we constantly crash due to another players base. The new one is like 2 hour walk

The new lake is a lot bigger

The glitchy base was permadeathlocks, apt name for someone trying to crash others
