There is some variation...but most of it is just flavor text. Stuff like ||Null's fate and whether you use the mind ark|| only affect some conversations and have no lasting impact but some of the big quests in the game give different player titles depending on what you choose at the end but beyond that no lasting impact. The most consequence you get the end of the ||Atlas path|| which can give different suit tech depending on what you choose and alters the endlessly repeatable quest afterwards so that has a lasting impact but it's minor. You won't suffer because of it or anything.

Not likely. I don't think multiplayer will ever be a massive focus for Hello Games. Reality is they can't really enforce any kind of PvP or even PvE rules without creating far bigger problems like moving to online only saves, and limiting or eliminating mods, no more save editors, etc...it would not go well with the player base and it would be a losing battle to even try fighting. Trying to make a fair, stable, and balanced multiplayer is an insanely expensive endeavor and most of the time it doesn't work even for massive studios with thousands of devs and bottomless pockets.

Overhauled not likely...whether they can fix it to work well idk, maybe for LNF at least, but I wouldn't bet on it. But right now it's like the game syncs in all he ways people don't want(ie ships, MTs and loot missing for everyone else once someone takes it) and doesn't sync in the ways anyone actually wants like enemies and their status reflected in each other's game. I did a bit of coop with someone a few years ago and the location started to be bombed by pirates. So I jump in my ship to fight them...but I only see a floating health bar, the enemy ship is invisible, and invulnerable to damage. And when multiplayer does work you can run into griefers with glitched or cheated ships trying to shoot you. Sooo yeah...I don't really see this working great at any point and frankly I'd rather they just make more content and stuff to play with than try to prop up this feature.

Probably the best thing he can do to be honest. If he's relatively new to the game his first S class interceptor probably isn't very good unless he got insanely lucky which isn't likely. Most S interceptors have fairly bad bonus stat rolls. So scrapping a meh interceptor isn't likely to be a great loss at this point.

Yes...S living frigates can come with up to 40 core stats...mechanical frigates get at most 12 and that's mostly at C class with few to no expeditions done. It is extremely rare to end up with mechanical frigates with more than 100 total stat points...insanely rare. I have 6 living frigates with over 130 stat points.

Just upgrade your scanner and learn to cook, you can get enough money to buy a full sets of slots by just scanning a few planets. Or look into storage augmentations as an alternative

Cargo and tech slots get expensive fast...you're looking at millions to tens of millions for the cheap slots and pretty quickly they'll reach the cost of 75 million per slot. Too fully upgrade and S ship to 60 tech slots and 100-120 cargo slots depending on ship type you're looking at costs between 7 and 10 billion. You'll need advanced farms automating resources to make advanced trade products like Stasis Devices or Fusion Igniters.

I can do that too but no. Stasis Device farms are much better because I can store and put that stuff in storage so I have spending power of nearly 20 billion units in total when I need it and i can get 1.8 billion in about half an hour which is even faster than scanning creatures.

That's something else...you'll need an S class multitool with 3 supercharged slots together, then you need X class modules with near max fauna scan bonuses of about +11,000% each, which you can supercharge, and then if you put Nectar Islands in the nutrient ingestor in your exosuit you can make up to around 38 million per rare scan...give or take...absolute peak is probably close to 40 mil.

Not too long...planning and finding perfect sites so my bases could harvest 4 or 5 hotspots each took like 10 hours and then building the farms another day or two so like 10-20 hours...but I mean I've spent hundreds of billions upgrading ships and freighter and just recently spent around 20 billion accumulating all the stuff I would need to max out four more freighters in case Hello Games decide to let us own more than one. So it's a big project but it pays itself back many times over in time. I've had these farms since 2019 or something...maybe 2018 I'm not completely sure.

Or you could spend an hour or two scanning to afford to upgrade your ship right away. Both options seem reasonable to me. Not everyone needs to upgrade a whole fleet of ships

I only ever upgraded 3 ships, so setting up that level of automation would not have saved any time for me

I don't think most people need hundreds of billions, but I am sure your method is great for those who do

Nah, it's more than that...maxing one ship costs 7-10 billion depending on how many slots it caps at. That takes significantly more time and a lot of Nectar Islands. My Stasis Device let me spend the units upfront and then I can tend to my farms for a few days to make up the deficit...usually around half an hour worth of refining per day if I harvest my crops 3 times a day or around 90 minutes of refining if I only harvest my crops once...but even at 90 minutes it's still faster than I would make 1.87 billion by cooking Nectar Islands and scanning creatures.

Nectar Islands are fairly simple things if you have access to Siroupy Nectar, which you get by feeding plant fauna...the large four legged creatures made of vines and leaves. One of my settlemets is on a planet where all ground creatures are plant fauna. Beyond that you need eggs so also a access to a planet where creatures give eggs...you can even set up autofeeders at a base if you are so inclined. Flour and sugar you can get from dome plants. Not very difficult to make. But SD farms are better imo.
