It's not the mode I prefer to play in but I got to the center on permadeath and I beat the permadeath expedition with zero unintentional deaths...the expedition forced one death at the beginning before you were allowed to leave the starting planet and proceed so I had to intentionally off myself for that but other than that permadeath never killed me.

another way to do that is to piss off some sentinels or something and then hop out of the corvette

Because building allowances determines who's allowed to build or alter your bases, which the corvette building extends to. And turning off pvp means others can't do damage to you. They can fire at you all they want but they won't be able to hurt you.

Setting building allowances to nobody will mean that only you can edit or build on your corvette and turning off pvp means that if other players fire at you they won't be able to damage you.

No, those are their own, they can always do whatever they want with their own stuff. You only control building allowances for your own corvette and bases.

they should add a corvette cockpit which is just a hab with screens and stuff that show the view from other camera modules you need to place on your corvette
