When you claim a base that base starts with 300units range, right? After your character crosses the 300u boundary game won't let you build, but if you stay within that boundary oyu can just point outside of it and game will allow you to build base-only base part

Also, you can place base-only pieces with no base around you whatsoever using cache-pin glitch... you can't power them since you can't build wires but you could go around leaving random base parts for... reasons...

It's one of those situations where limitations are placed in the building menu, if it detect no base it won't let you build, but not in the game itself so it can be tricked into thinking you are allowed to build something

It also makes it act weird so...

Now while making base what happened was a storm suddenly came and rocks were coming from everywhere and the storm kept making me fly.

It's cheaper than upgrading an existing ship from C to S in terms of nanite costs (85k vs ~12k). But in the grand scheme of things, the money you need to burn to get the parts for the ship, you may be better off hunting for an exotic instead: you spend similar amount units, and it comes as an S, and have pretty much above average stats across the board

Terrain edits do have a cap and this can be viewed while In the build edit mode, and terrain edits can revert for a number of reasons since it was largely changed.

The first way is you have reached the maximum amount of edits you can make to terrain, edits made after will remove your oldest.

Terrain edits may also revert during a network sync when a player not in your group enters the system.

Not a bug, most wall parts will have variants that change depending on how/what level it is placed above another wall.

You can place specific variant parts to avoid this change by selecting the button mapped to View Variants when hovering over a part that has these vertical lines.

Any ship can be upgraded to outperform any requirements you need in the game, while ship types do have statistical benefits depending on ship type and class. These differences are negligible.

At the end of the day any ship you like the look off is well worth investing in.

You would need to build a base computer and claim it outside the border of your settlement, then extend the radius by building closer to the settlement in order to have an overlap.

This would only allow you to build base structures, not use the terrain manipulator.

All good, then I might suggest probably don’t worry about coordinates just yet but if you are like me maybe you have a set goal and I’m not going to tell you to stop, I have run a faq command here #nms-commands message for you, these relate to obtaining glyphs at the bottom of the command is two others you can run for portal info, I suggest reading all three.

Outside of this just see what ships you find as you explore, each system has 21 models of procedurally generated ships from the standard available ships, as you progress through the game and discover more you’ll come to discover other ships you may not have seen and even how to scrap certain ship types for parts and build your own or from scratch.
