I started the corvette one cause I was getting tired of how long it was taking to get parts but I didn't know about the Anomaly's expedition terminal, nor did I know that the normal way is to transfer items via some terminal in the Anomaly

Your base ship stats are very low. And it's your Tech modules that boost those numbers through percentage increases. In the end you're looking at a variants of less than 5% total

Once you factor in supercharged slots it becomes even less

I heard about people building bases over resource points and I did this expedition with my internet turned off from my console. It's the only way to fully remove bases. Even reporting them or disconnecting multiplayer in game doesn't help

Normally, need to set foot on it and then decide if you want to rename it, then either way you upload the discovery from your Discovery tab in the interface.
If you build the discovery room in your freighter once you own one, you can instead discover all the planets and moons at once from it.

Lol, if others are around, there can be a race to upload the discovery to determine who claims it. (I tested this out with a buddy long ago: we both landed, with me first, then by arrangement he uploaded first, thereby "winning". So upload is all that counts 😉 )

I learnt the hard way today that when you trade the multi toolkit, you need to manually remove all upgrades otherwise you will loose them if you trade whilst they’re still equipped, they don’t automatically transfer to the new one😭

Selling vette scrap you don't use is good money. Those parts are worth a lot

If I join the crowd and put down an outpost (away from copper to not be an asshole), I can keep going back for a bunch of scrap, right? I did find a decent scrap world, but it's mountainous.

I'm starting the expedition over btw, made the mistake of starting a new save cause I had no idea these can and should be started from the Anomaly

Thankfully I didn't put down any bases on that save

Another place I hope I find again is a "terror sphere" dissonant world, had a crashed Sentinel starship and a lot of different farm plants for some odd reason. It was right on the path to one of the stations, but if my jumps aren't the same length this time, I don't know how I'll find it again.

Dumb question from a returning player - on my old save file I had 2b units and I remember doing trading to make a ton of money and also visiting players resource farms to make some units.

Are those two things still viable? I feel like I'm capped at only a few million of trade goods at a time now and seems like there's basically no active player farms still being posted online that I can find

The limit for units (And I think nanites) is 4B. I think there is an issue where you cannot access other player's refineries, but you might be able to access their plant farms. I'm not sure what you men by 'trade goods' 🙁

But you can work around that limit, if you have bases automating resources for high value products you can make high value products and place them in storage for when you'll need more spending power than the cap limit allows. I typically keep a storage container full of stasis devices.

before i used to scan planets, i would just land and hop out and there was this earthy one i hopped out on and was instantly swept up into a tornado (on my permadeath) and it threw me so far i paused for like 2 hours scared with no life support trying to think of what to do lol

Everyone eventually goes to the nexus. There are some player made cities, but it is not a 'major' hub. There are hubs that people go to, but I have not hard of them being as busy as nexus.
