Tainted metal is a good choice if you don't have all decorations from dealer

I have to start doing derelicts to get all furniture from them and dealer

I actually do a mix of both, I CBA going back to the station after every freighter so I do two, hand one set of logs to tainted, the other for rep

But don't hold onto more than two sets of logs unless you really don't care for either metal or rep, since after turning in two of either manifest or captain log, you can't hand in anymore and have to destroy the extras

Hello everyone! The server administration very kindly allowed me to post in this channel about a scientific survey I am conducting for my Master-Thesis!

The topic is "Explainability in Software Systems" and I have a focus on Video Games for which I decided to use No Man's Sky as an example. The goal of the survey is to see what kinds of explanations (like tutorials, hints, etc.) in different Software Systems are actually wanted from the user's perspective and which are not.

Kind of acts like a buffer between the terrain regenerating and your base. It's not permanent though. Eventually it will come back. But those being under your base do help hold back terrain a bit better

Ya'll, NMS made me realized I have thalassophobia, I'm too scared to go into those oceans even though it's not real 😭 I was doing the fishing part in the expedition 18 and i found a player base who made like a fishing platform so i stood there fishing and i thought okay this is nice, there's a big scary deep ocean but i stand here safe, yo a storm came and the waves were so high it almost drag me into the ocean, i was tripping and tried quickly to get back into the building and then it was as if the game wanted me to drown or something because even in the building the waves came inside and tried to pull me in 😭😭😭 i almost fainted on my sofa, i managed to quickly jump into my starship. I can do all missions easily but those oceans stuff nah 💀

Regular planets don't have very deep oceans but the waterworlds can be 1000+u deep easily.
The middle part between surface and bottom is probably the worst, since a lot of stuff on the bottom glows.

Things that you can sell off or refine for nanites early on. So you can copy your ship and multi-tool into expedition.

Runaway mould, hadal/larval cores..... Also pirate station Tech and weapon packets. Can carry a stack of those in there with you and sell off to Tech vendors for nanites easy.

Things that you can sell easily for a lot of units at once. Extra Corvette parts sell for a good amount. And take a few of those in with you. So do treasures and relics that you dig out of ancient ruins. Always good to save those for expeditions

Sentinels wouldn't make corvettes because they are purely software...they have no use for interior spaces that accommodate bodies. And they don't have a preference for using humanoid bodies like the Korvax either.

Paradise planets are not all that rare, but the name is only one of several used for the type, so you may have just seen lots with the other names and not realized they were that type.

Ah, found it: "Paradise" is but one of 12 names for Biome - Lush planets. They can have negative weather, per the wiki. So when folks are talking real Paradise planets, that means RNG has to produce both the name (1/12 chances) plus good weather etc. As I recall, I have had Paradise planets with bad weather, sure enough.
