Expeditions are more for the developers than us. Yeah we get some cool stuff from doing them but it's really just a forced testing ground for new features

Maybe when they stop adding new content to the game they will unlock all previous expeditions. But right now that fomo keeps us playing the expedition as soon as it drops so we don't miss it

No, the lag used to be there no matter your hardware, game needed a moment to unpack space assets, but they made some changes in the files some time ago, recent compared to how long the game has been around, and we no longer get that lag

Most of them have a liquid hydrogen ocean, that is a strange form of hydrogen that could be only found in gas giant’s immense pressure, and there is a small, dense rocky core but the game just portrayed gas giants as more densely clouded, rocky grounds with more storms
And to your question, there could’ve been “flying cities” or settlements like that, above the clouds

The health bar at the top is actually your protective shield. Those cross symbols underneath it are your health cores. That's what eating meat regenerates

Your shield runs out you start losing Health cores. That's when you're going to die

2 of 3 planets the game spawned me into has no living things nearby? how on earth are people supposed to progress past the first few mins if the game constantly puts way point that are many mins walking distance, AND puts hazards such as storms, radiation or whatever that are seeminly designed to deplete what helath you started with WAY WAY before you reach the way point its directing you to do?? how is that even possible?

You can also find them inside some buildings scattered around.

But what you're getting is the worst experience of everything around you without any technology to protect you and help you along. It gets so much simpler pretty quick

Er… I just said it regenerates while you’re not taking damage. Just periodically pick glowing plants while searching for the materials to fix your ship and shovel the molecules into your exosuit’s accessory slots.

It's easy to forget how fragile we are at the beginning of the game. Because it's so easy for us to become unkillable and unstoppable fairly early in the game

Soon as you start getting technology modules the difficulty curve goes away fast

ok but my question is more of a "How is that even possible" i dont mind grind, but i do mind being put in a position for the 3rd time in the first 5 mins of a game where the game is telling me to go somewhere with no means of heal, but that location is too far away before you inevitably die due to health depletion through storms, radtion or whatever the other planet had that was killing me i forget now, as i said 2 of the 3 planets i spawned to had no "fauna" to kill that was nearby that i could avail from BEFORE the "hazard" came that killed me

You're basically at the only point in the game that it feels like a survival game. And you do have to survive until you get your shift fixed and get off the planet.

But at the same time there's nothing wrong with starting a new save if you don't like your starting planet. That's a pretty common thing to do.

Especially radioactive or toxic planets? It really sucks starting on one of those your very first time playing. So wouldn't blame you if you tried to roll a better planet on a new save

Hi folks.
I was really loving this game, and dropped 200 hours into it very quickly, but suddenly stopped because the Corvettes update basically ruined the game for me.
I was proud of getting Exotic ships and stuff, and then the Corvettes update made it seem like all of that was a waste because "corvettes are objectively better" but they're all ugly and gross and I don't like the idea of driving an RV, and when I really tried the content, every time I built a corvette it was so buggy that my character was getting glitch-stuck between doorways and I couldn't even reload the game at a reasonable point.

It feels like I fell in love with a great game, and all the sudden the game became totally different and broken and ugly.

Is there a way around this?

I had to avoid the anomoly entirely because of people bringing modded/glitched corvettes that ruined the whole anomaly

Fair enough, but isn't there a bunch of content that's just for corvette stuff? I stopped playing right in the middle of that Expedition with no care to finish it.
Settlements do have some advantages, but it takes a while to get there... is the corvette content comparable, or more? They made it seem like corvettes were the focus now.
