Mainly depends on what type of planets you want. If you want extreme weather planets go to a harsh galaxy, more lush planets lush galaxy, etc.

Euclid is a normal galaxy so the chances of all planets are somewhat equal

It worked and the lights are fixed, the npc’s are no longer being replaced by one Vy’keen taking on multiple tasks at light speed at the same time either

Yeah you don't have to fuel them like your own ship. It just takes it from you when you send them out

Your rewards are tallied at the end of the the expedition when you finalize it at the terminal. Then once you're done claiming those rewards and claiming the items from the expedition terminal you go to the Quicksilver vendor to claim your expedition item rewards from them

And if you need to copy your multi-tool or ship from expedition you do that at the terminal as well.

You are done with the expedition it will lead you to the anomaly and the terminal. If it doesn't do that make sure you've claimed all of your milestone rewards. It won't activate the end until you do

But it's still highly recommended you do those base quests to unlock all that stuff for free. Because the thousands of nanites it will cost to unlock it all could be better spent on more essential Tech that you can't unlock for free.

Also if you don't do those base quests you will keep coming back here to the questions chat asking questions that would have been answered in the base quests 😂

Ultimately it doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things. It's worth doing early on in your save, I did them only after I have unlocked them all on the anomaly for curiosity. E.g. I only started doing farmer's quests after I set up my stasis devices lol

Every time that the Artemis quest leads you to a holo terminus it will give you the location of one in the system you are in.

Guys I finally figured out what the Pioneer Spirit settlement perk does...game wanted to replace it so I saved the game, accepted the trade...and was mugged blind...settlement lost over 60k productivity, maintenance cost wen up 40K, happiness unchanged but was replaced by happiness perk so I lost a chunk of happiness too, and I lost 2 settlers. That makes it the best perk settlements can have...never accept to have it replaced. I reloaded my save and declined the trade. But yeah...if you let the game replace it you get mugged so don't do it.

Yes, but exploring like a headless chicken is a slightly less enticing proposition. I have no problems exploring for interceptors or sentinel tools because I know exactly what type of system they show up, and those criteria are easy to discern on the galaxy map, but finding a concentration of creatures that drops specifically honey (for example) to set up a farm is something else entirely

its actually certain kinds of animals tend to have certain drops

you learn over time

but they all generally look the same

all you need captian is a rhythm. If you have a freighter with a system scanner.. then bammo when you warp in you can dock at freighter. Scan. determine if any of those planets look viable. if not.. move on to next system. Check AROUND you based on what your galactic map shows.

Hey man, that's the depth of exploration in the game...if you want eggs you gotta find chickens, if you want honey you gotta find some bees...well more like creatures that drop eggs and bouncing slimes rather than bees but you get the idea. Honey does not grow on trees lol.

basically make a list of what you need done in the game... but don't actively do it, because you'll fail if looking for specific things is your goal for the day, just have fun doing something else, and if you happen to find something to check off the list, cool

Yeah but you cant refine stuff into honey and eggs...would be nice if HG added the ability to put sugar and something else in the nutrient processor to make synthetic honey but alas, not possible in the current build of the game.

its a game that takes a long time to find everything and do everything you want

just realize that

and have a plan for the journey, not for the end

I know, I just prefer there was a way to know what kind of creatures is more likely to spawn on certain planet types I don't land only at every planet with a fauna to look for specific creature types, or a concentration of them while I am out exploring for them

here's another thing I do, you know those weekend nexus missions? They tend to have a lot of what you need there

and people will set things upfor you there

when I get that mission

I don't do the mission first, I set up a base

then I see what kind of resources are there

a lot of times, the weekend nexus mission system has something or 2 or 3 that's cool

and needed

I basically don't ever do that, I make my missions as short as possible "insert 10 minutes, in and out meme" lol

and I hate nexus missions, I just like the journey there

For honey I think definitely desert worlds...that's where I found slime creatures in the past and rarely you'll find these rare beehive looking plants on deserts that you can mine for honey.

Quicksilver is the only reason I am even doing those missions, otherwise I basically never do any of them, but I may need to to grind the race and guild mission milestones

but if you just skip passed that to do your daily or weekly

while random systems have a chance of nothing

they pick good systems for weekend nexus missions

I didn't skip looking for what I need on missions because I don't like missions, I beeline missions because the list of stuff I need, at the time, don't appear on missing planets
