corvettes are basically custom built starships but bigger and with actual interiors, while freighters are where you build an actual base inside them, and can launch frigate expeditions (to get stuff and units), allow you to warp crazy distances, and use built storage rooms from across the star system (if you have the matter beam)

plus you can't pilot the freighters, only summon them in space and warp with them

It's one of the objects that can only be placed in a forward position. There's an easy way to rotate and offset hab by half a space.

By offsetting them and rotating them you can put many parts in the exact same spot on top of each other. Or backward

When you get done in the anomaly immediately start working on your base building quests. It'll quickly unlock storage containers and a lot of other Tech and recipes that you will use throughout the game.

You can still get that Tech and those recipes without the base building quest. But you're going to have to purchase them and that takes longer. Might as well go through those quests so you receive everything now for free

well, any time during the expedition you can go back to your normal save, but there is no intermediate items transfer - only at the start and the end. - you have some other options that are more than I have time to explain, once you can afford it, you can make a copy of your current ship and tool in the expedition - or afterwards copy your new tool/ship back to the normal save

so lets say you wanted to keep your frigates active while you are doing an expedition, you can return to the regular save, send them out again and re-enter the expedition

i have done an expedition a few times on old saves now, and have not found any problems, I even went in and out once or twice each time. but you can not recopy a copied tool or ship if you choose to take one in the expedition

some expeditions don't allow ship copy if the goal is to build a ship in the expedition, though obvs

It will be in your space station list. And you can favorite it if you want. But your best option is to drop a base computer in that system

The colored rings around those Tech modules show up when they are next to similar Tech. And you get a boost for each one you connect to the adjacency chain.

You can't always have your supercharged slots close to each other and there are times where breaking adjacency so you can favor supercharging is okay. You still end up with a bigger bonus

When you're looking through your Discovery tab you can go to any planet and put a waypoint. When you go to your Galaxy map you will be given a path to follow.

Best bet though is looking at the system name and going through your station list. Hoping it's there so you can teleport to it

This level of modding and game manipulation is not healthy for a new game. Which is why devs allow it over time more often than just letting it be a thing Day 1.

Yeah it doesn't actually show the gain in the module stats for adjacency like supercharged does. But you would not a big difference in having say your movement modules spread out compared to adjacent. Big difference in total fuel tank capacity
