Like back in the day wire glitching was a particular skill. Now it's smoother and gives you more building options than ever. So it really treads the line on being a glitch or a mechanic

the glass star is the opposite of a shadow star. you can portal to it but not warp, and it shows a different system on the map as your location. that different system is the shadow star.

There is 2 shadow stars. The old one which could not be found without brute force hunting for it, warping to new systems, which can now be found reliably.
And there is the new purple shadow stars which can only be located with brute force.

Really? Does that not just change the textures to the number equivalent on corvettes? That's what I recall happening when using the color glitch on bases

I checked the video again, and thats what's happening

Concrete is normal, rust is inverted, stone is weathered, and wood is metallic

Yeah I was able to get a bright pink Corvette by going to freighter color pink and teal and then messing around with base part color rust and Stone

Its like when I tried copying legacy textures to current structures, since the newer ones only have 2 texture options, it defaults to the second one if I choose anything other than concrete

Im guessing that textures have a digit corresponding to them, so it doesnt transfer the texture from one piece to another, but the digit of that texture

I don't think I've crashed, yet. But I've had to hard reset a few times.
Would fly down to a planet, get out of my ship and my screen would go absolutely black with the Hud over it.

Tbh, I feel like if your ship gets damaged enough near a planet, instead of dying, your ship crash lands and you have to find it similar to the beginning of the game

I like the idea of derelicts but they made them too rare/inacessible and there is not much variation at all. I'd like to see more and larger RNG space (and planet side too) bases that are instanced dungeons.

try to collect everything. a few things you can only get from derelicts. base decorations, but still even if you don't use them, you can 'unlock' them.
Also the story missions are generally more like tutorials/introductions. Gotta do your own thing. Find your own goals.
