galaxies are massive - it would take a big stroke of luck for another random player to randomly bump into you and your friend, and the system you're in. that said, options/network settings has several options i urge you to review e.g. pvp, can add base parts etc

Under Options->Network. turn off ability of others to do anything with your base (or otherwise). Then even if uploaded and multiplayer is on, it cannot be affected. Odds are tremendous against anyone even seeing it, actually, but all systems are reachable by all players in theory. In practice, I see another player at random about once a year, if that.

You need to have 3 hours in Game not afk, you need to move, then when you jump into another system after 3 hours you'll see the event of the dreadnought, if you do it in less than 2 minutes and you are going to take the pirate ship you can use the automatic save point and you'll see the event again, so if the class of the ship is not what you want (for example a class c) you can go back with the automatic save point and do it again, or you can make a restoration point on the last system and go back to the event system

no, not necessarily; you need 3h of unpaused gameplay and 5 ship warps since last battle to be able to trigger the battle on any inhabited system you choose. but there are systems out there, some t3 conflict and some outlaw, that have this property that itself forces the battle event to trigger on every warp in, regardless of the player having played for 3h and did 5 ship warps since last battle or not.

sentinel: you need to survive ~43k in game minutes (1 in game minute = 1 second in real time) in extreme weather planets (many planets with activated copper/act cadmium/act emeril/etc are, you can easily tell if you have exosuit voice on and hear "extreme hazard planet" after you exit your ship - and also see EXTREME above hazard protection bar)
