@pliant plank If you are not seeing likes/shares on your current stream or page, that might be due to how the privacy settings of the person liking/sharing your stream are set.
If they are set to private we won't be able to see the events.
Specifically for shares, if they share in private groups, we won't be able to see the event.

i can see and hear the shares and follows in obs the only things that i can't hear is when someone likes the stream. Like the same person that likes and shares, i can hear the share but not the like on the stream. Same goes for the follow and like. I can hear the follow from a person but not when they like the stream. And thats kinda weird that you say that we can't see shares when they share to private groups cause some of the groups that im in also get shared to cause i check the shares when im done with the stream to see where they where shared.

Hello, I have been looking in OBS doc and at many places, but couldn't find a good response to my use case and I hope someone here can help me. We want to be able to take a screenshot of the streamer's stream or one of his scene, send it to an API and do something depending on the response. Doing what we want with the API's response is fairly easy, but I am not sure how to get the image from OBS to javascript to then make the API call. Has this been done before, does anyone know where I could look at ?

@glass obsidian Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Hello, I am trying to connect my custom named chat bot, but when I click authorize it's just bringing me back to the ''log in to twitch''. I've done all the other things. OBS LIVE open tab, streamelements tipping link added to twtich panel, that account for ''custom named bot'' is already moderator in my channel... Just it is not working. @lyric summit If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

You say you add the overlays as a "browser" - yes that is the correct way to show the overlays in the program you use

But you say it shows half of it - this means you haven't placed the right resolution on the browser source

Friends I come here to inform you that I solved the problem and also to help everyone who has a similar problem, the problem was my provider's dns that was blocking the Streamelements URL, I just manually scanned the google dns on my ipv4 network adapter and everything worked again!

Hey guys, is amd AVC codec worth using at all? I am using it rn and I feel like I cranked all settings but it looks very pixelated when there's movement. But stream is smooth and I've received no complaints with lag or stutters (which is good), however I want to have a decent looking stream also. Any good settings to recommend? How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:
(Please follow one of the steps for your set up)

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/712428275049431120/716618713998033047/unknown.png
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

It is currently not possible to separate audio for yourself and stream if you ALSO want to show the video in OBS.
The only way to do this would be to follow the last set of instructions above and then use Window Capture on GC or Chrome.

open programs and features

you can search in the top right hand corner of the screen for obs

once it pops up

right click uninstall

that will uninstall any program you need to get rid of

tap the letter c on your keyboard. on the left you should see control panel as one of the options from there follow the steps provided

The problem was that for some reason, every time I transferred the overlay to OBS, the quality got very blurry unless I zoomed in a lot, but then it didn't all fit on my screen. Hello! CTRL with + usually increase font size CTRL with - usually decreases it

• from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
• from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Hi guys, can anyone help me with this ? I can't find an answer on google.
So I have my alerts sound setup on streamelements overlay. I want to be able to hear the alert sound if anyone follows my stream. and I can hear it in OBS, but this is going trough my desktop sound, so I guess the viewers will hear the alert sound 2 times, am I right ?
Cause one is playing trough streamelements overlay and the other trough my obs desktop audio

• copyrighted assets from Streamlabs in the scenes
• unsupported media files
• media files being bigger then 100MB

I'm not sure if this is the right chat to ask this, but I'm trying to stream from console, and it's very laggy on the stream. So, I figured I'd get a capture card, and see if that would help. But I'm not sure which one I should get.

I have my overlays and sound alerts all set up and ready on my computer, so it would be a shame if I can't use them.

I have a small problem with my StreamElements chatbot. Often my live disconnects and when I come back online, the BOT is no longer working. That is, all commands stop appearing in the chat and there are no more answers. Is there any way to connect again from OBSLive within OBS Studio? Thanks in advance!
