I'd rather recommend that you look up how it's done and do something new more in-line with your channel, than to just copy their implementation.

A way to automatically thank someone for following is too mechanical to work for actual viewers.

Well, what ever that is all about....this is what I need. I have 3 scenes. 3 different templates. Each scene has many sources. A "windows Firefox" a "Internet Explorer" window, a "Notepad" window, a "Honeypic" window. I want to assign all these "Sources" to a button on my Stream Deck. But I can't figure it out.

ALso, when I go to one scene. I move the dimensions of a source to fit the template. Then I go to another scene and adjust that same source to fit that template. When I switch back to the 1st template. The source is out of position.

This is an odd question, but does anyone have any tips for creating a stream plan? I'd like to be a combination of focusing for one game with also variety. Would love to see if there's a resource for a list of common party games, scheduling ideas, etc. I know this is pretty vague but looking for some inspiration I guess.

A few tips:

• Learn how to do things yourself, and keep learning and trying new things;
• Look for the most effective way you can do something first, not the easiest or expensive one
• Try to play games and do things that interest you (if you have party games in mind, look for Jackbox games, quizzes, board games, etc)
• For schedule, depending on how frequently you'll be streaming, you can try varying your content for certain days, and reserving one day for something with more interaction with your viewers (so you can focus more on the games on the other days)

I've been on Twitch since 2012, but have more "regularly" streamed for about the past 5 years. I had a streak where I basically didn't miss a week for almost 2 years, streaming 3 times a week 3 hours a day. I did Melee Mondays, Variety Tuesdays, and Community Wednesdays. I did this while also having a full time (40 hour) job.

I'm thinking about changing to twice a week to not overwhelm myself. But I simply run out of things to play / interest, even with novelties like romhacks, mods, new games, etc. I'm missing that spark of motivation and creativity, and it's a little frustrating!

You can definitely switch things a bit, maybe this can help you start a change in your perspectives that could renew your motivation

Do you think there's something that your viewers feel it's lacking about your content?

Asking because I say there may be an underlying issue (real or not) that may be getting in the way of your motivation

Do you have access to all the tools (widgets, equipment, branding) that you need for your stream?
Do you have a good communication with your own community?
Have you been keeping track of your goals, and your progress towards them?

And another one: Do you really need to go for something new, and not to go back instead? (I'm getting a little introspective here )

It makes me a bit motivated, also getting sponsored with games tend to make me motivated...

But also like..checking out really new streamers, seeing how happy they are.. what they do and how their community are. Like someone figuring out how to do her overlays for the first time motivated me to actually go and move my overlays from slobs to se finally

And sometimes I think yoi just need to get in a bit of new blood in your followers...and for that finding smaller streamers who are appreciative and check you back is great

Thank you for really digging into this for me. I have most of those things. Great community communication, access to tools and widgets and a ton of nice equipment I've built up over those 5 years or so. I've gone on a huge break and want to return, so I think the biggest barrier is that I ultimately don't feel I'm providing enough value. And ways I brainstorm those ideas, I don't see it as sustainable or interesting! It's possible I haven't considered my options or I'm being too narrow minded. But I'm that might be at the heart of it.

Don't think about all of these things. Don't mind the widgets alerts, commands, events, panels and shit. Just don't give a fuck about them or try to optimize. Just focus on YOU and your connection to the people who come your way

Like if they like you then great. If they don't stick around then who cares? You wouldn't want ppl who don't like you there anyways

And remember you don't force people to be there and they're not charged for being there.. they can leave unsub at any time

Option 2 my therapist would give me would be... test it! Test worrying and really focusing on putting out the best content for like 2 streams... and then write down how it felt and how it felt after.... then you do 2 streams where you don't give a shit and just chill with people... then write down how that felt... anf then compare... what felt better for you? Then do more of that

Just saw your question there. Have you looked into how to properly setup OBS? From a huge number of issues that you may be having, I'd guess that you are either outputting to the wrong resolution, have a weird bit rate value or is using the wrong encoder for your GPU. (Or, you could just have all your settings maxed out on the game that you want to stream, so it would conflict with OBS)
Also, remember to always open OBS with administrator privileges.
