Are you using StreamLabs for it? This is the StreamElements server, so I'm not sure there's much help to be found here.
There's a plugin for that, but SLOBS doesn't support OBS plugins (SE Live being another plugin, for example)

no its on obs studio, the overlay works perfectly on streamlabs but on obs studio when i launch my game unles my mouse pointer is clicked on obs studio the overlay wont respond which is an issue as i need to have my mouse pointer on the game to actually play it

Lately I feel like it has been a wave of NFT bots from this server

Not just this server, the NFT market is crashing and scammers are getting desperate.
You just see it happen here more because it's a public server (and a 200k+ members big boi), they think they can get more people this way (and they are correct, statistically).
What they don't count on is people being not gullible enough to believe their scams, and moderation taking instant action when they get reported.
Honestly, the tech behind NFTs could have so much potential if used for authentication purposes. Like making sure your emotes, banners, avatars, badges and other digital assets on Twitch didn't get reused by someone else, for example.
Function first, monetization later - instead of what we got.

Have you checked the positioning of these browser sources in your screen? (To make sure the coordinates aren't something stupid like "x:90001", which was a weird bug that happened on OBS a few versions ago, not sure if it's still there)

I think I've made great progress, I've made a new alert box overlay in the streamelements editor and added the falling stars media source then copied the overlay link into a new obs browser source then gone back to the refresh icon for a star alert in the streamelements dashboard and it works in obs plus i got to add my sound effect to the falling stars so that is another problem overcome. I feel like I'm now on the right track and can do away with the streamlabs alerts for good. Thank you so very very much Thercio, i was right you are amazing my friend 😁🙌😽

Awesome! I think that these issues may on Streamlabs end exclusively, after all. Some of my clients have had issues with both their software blocking external browser sources and, as you've experienced now, their browser sources not working on default OBS. Which I don't think it's the best way to go for any streamer

The stream deck works and i know how to use it, it's just that when i stream and i click it sometimes the confetti cannon appears but it freezes mid way through and other times i hear the sound effect but see no cannon

Question: I had changed the name of my YT channel a bit ago and was hoping that would filter through to Stream Elements. However, I see it's still on the old brand name, which has been dead for a while.
The problem is, I don't want to turn on tipping or SE.merch until this is all changed as I don't want to confuse people who only know my channel from the new branding (which is half my subs).
Is there a way to change this in SE? Or am I pretty much up the creek and need to use other platforms for merch and tips?

intended use is for others but it's a selfhosted thing
so I can just tell them to put it in a config
without sending it to me
so far I've found my "Twitch JWT token" and references to a "Personal Access Token"
streamlabs has a token specifically for accessign the socket which was convenient for my purposes
I don't really feel like using oauth though
since it's self hosted I'd have to walk them through making an application on SE
which I'll already have to do on the twitch side
and that one already has a library to simplify stuff

Sounds like the issue is related to YT specifically. I know someone who was able to send it with only her Twitch but it gave the error when she tried adding her YT
