Hello, when I play Media Share on my stream, the audio is played twice and echoes really badly. I have 1 browser for it on OBS and I have it set to "Shut down source when not visible" and I can't fix the echoe at all, and it makes it completely unusable. Does anyone know how to fix this?

How to separate Media Request (MR) audio in OBS:

MUTE MR FOR YOURSELF, STREAM CAN HEAR

1. Make a new overlay in the editor, ONLY add the Media Request widget.
2. Add a new browser source in OBS, add the URL and set the dimensions correctly.
3. Tick the box for Control audio via OBS
4. Go to Edit > Advanced Audio, set your MR overlay to Monitor Off. Note: This will play through the Desktop Audio, if you mute your desktop audio, it will mute the MR.

CONTROL AUDIO SEPARATELY FROM YOU AND STREAM

1. For this you will need a VAC (use command !vac).
2. Run your MR either in Chrome or in Ground Control (use command !gc). Note: Do NOT click on SHOW ON STREAM.
3. Set Chrome or GC in the VAC as an audio input and output.
4. Add the audio output from VAC as an audio input in OBS. Note: This will not be able to show the video in OBS.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello. When I 'Add Twitch Channel' it says 'Channel Is already Claimed'. If I log into Twitch and remove that permission/connection so I can have a do-over, it will 'connect' however it creates it under a seperate SteamElements account where I can not see any of my other connected channels. More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allow faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

My viewers cannot grant permission to the extension, and not able to redeem store items using their own loyalty points. Overlay editor->Layer' settings->Subscriber's gear->Variations settings->New variation->Gear->Variation parameter "Gift".

Hi, I am trying to get my stream elements leaderboard extension working on twitch. I have it configured and the bot is in my channel. When I try to view my chat stats, I get a 404 error, and from I can tell online, it seems to be an issue when you change your twitch username, however, I have never changed it (just created it about a month ago or so). If you are not seeing the OBS Twitch integrations and have SE.Live installed, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are on the latest and greatest version of SE.Live
2. Exit OBS (make sure OBS is not running)

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Hello! I haven't streamed in a while and decided to hop back to it. I wanted to edit a few things on the StreamElements website, but I am unable to load into the site, or rather log into Twitch with it. The page itself loads slow and once the prompt pops up to select where you want to log in to, and once you selevt Twitch, it will just constantly load for me.

The browser I'm currently using is Chrome, and I've wiped my cookies and cache as well before I tried again. I checked other websites and they all seem to be loading in fine. I did, however check StreamElements with Firefox and it loaded there albeit a bit slow. >:

Hi! There is no regional restriction as I can simply open it in youtube just fine. It did however start as I put on the location to prevent songs that get instantly skipped from happening. Is it possible to remove my set location? I would much rather prefer having a skip every once in a while than having to deal with internal server errors practically constantly :)

All my scenes have different design and an alertbox aswell as chatbox and other things.

You can copy them to different overlays. Say you make a gaming overlay and a chatting overlay. If you have made the alerts in gaming, then in the SE editor highlight the alert box in the editor list on the left. At the top of the editor list click the copy icon. It will ask what overlays you want to copy the alerts to. Tick chatting. Hey presto, the alerts are now in your chatting overlay as well!

Hello 🙂 I have been making sounds and putting them in the Loyalty Stream Store. There are now quite a lot of sounds, and since I (as the streamer's mod) use the stream store to redeem these, I need to be able to find them quickly, or the comic effect is ruined. Is there any way that I can group sounds together or sort by anything other than "Stream Perks, Sounds Effects, and Access Codes"? Folders would be nice, but any other suggestions are also greatly appreciated!! Thanks guys! ❤️

Hello! I am just trying out StreamElements, working on setting up a chat overlay. And while I was testing, a mysterious chatter showed up in the streamelements chat overlay (and nowhere else) and posted a frowny face. I wasn't streaming at the time, and the only source for the chatter could have come from was my twitch channel chat, but the twitch chat log was showed only my messages. The only place the mysterious chatter's emote showed up in was StreamElements chat overlay.
So... serious question... Have I been hacked through your service?

I don't think this exists. You could try naming them something like "[stream perks] item name"

If someone joins the stream? Not possible with streamelements that I know of. There's the "Chat Alerts" bot module (https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/modules) that will do it for follows, etc.. There's some third party programs that might do what you're looking for.

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

All widgets stay active in the background even when they are not being used. This is done to make switching through scenes faster as they wouldn't have to re-load every time.

However, this can cause some issues when an overlay/widget is active in multiple scenes at once.

Could you please ensure the layer containing the widget is not being obstructed? If you can hear the sound but cannot see the widget this usually means that the overlay is either in the background or it's out of bounds.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hello, I am having a few, Problems with Stream elements Alerts. I have noticed recently That The Alert Sound is delayed compared to the animation that appears during my Stream. I am running a 2 PC set up. I use The most recent OBS studio Update. I am not quite sure why it began to delay. I have not made any changes to my Alerts in Months. Please help.

Hi. I've had Kappagen working ok for a few days. Tonight, the explosions work when doing a generation of an event from the overlay editor, but the normal emotes from messages and the custom emotes are not working at all. At least, I can't trigger them myself and the chatbot doesn't trigger them either. I don't think the !kappagen command is working either. I've not been live, I was just trying to add and test some new custom emotes.

I have an issue and I am not sure if it's from SE or from OBS, but it is directly related to SE Overlays, so it might be.

The issue: Sometimes(randomly, I cannot reproduce it with a specific trigger), two of my overlays don't show up at all in the preview of OBS, though if I click on the source filters for example, I can see the source without any issue(like in this photo).

This appeared somewhere in the last 2 weeks, before that, I never encountered this and I didn't change anything in OBS related to those widgets since 1 year at least, so this is quite peculiar.

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

Sure, firtst I create a new overlay under "My Overlays" Then I click the Edit button to get to the Editor. After that I add with the + button An altert (Alerts > Alert Box). After that I click on the left menu "AlertBox 1" Two menus are then opened one named "Settings" one named "Position, size and style". I click on Settings then on "Cheer alert". I delete the video with the X in the preview window. After that I click "Change Image" to change the Image to a Gif one (all other alerts in these box working beside of this i have mentioned). After that I also Save the Overlay with the "Save" button, top right. After That I hit the emulate button (that on with the bell) and click on "Cheer event > 1k" Now the old video is playing and not the new gif or even picture i have inserted and changed.

All other alerts are working perfectly, only the cheer event is not working

Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

I've got a question relating to host alerts and other extensions like streamlabs if that's alright.

I've been having issues with streamlabs not playing my host alerts whenever I get a host. I recently heard about elements and tried the site out as soon as I got home. Sadly, I get the same problem.

I can test my alerts from the site to OBS and get a response, but real hosts don't trigger anything.

I thought it might be OBS so I Uninstalled everything associated to it then reinstalled it to no effect. What could the problem be?

We have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Hello, I would like to report a problem that I've been facing for about 1 week, I'm trying to create a new item in the StreamElements store but every time I finish creating it, a message appears that it's finishing the action and even so it doesn't add the item that was created in the store, I've done everything I even used another browser, another internet but still I can't create a new item in my store, can anyone help me?

My tiltify charity donations still do not show up on my alerts, the test works though but when people donate it doesnt alert. I feel like I've tried everything and the last time I asked here someone said it was on their end but they didnt have access to fix it, im on day 5 of my stream-a-thon now without the ability to use my custom alerts for the charity event, is there any way I can get some help please? Try re-linking your tiltify in your dashboard settings > integrations

Also make sure the campaign is selected in the widget once you do

I tried to add a custom bot name in OBS by logging in to the bot's Twitch account, then hit 'save', but it doesn't appear. I can only change to StreamElements or Evebonnet, eventhough I just added the bot. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? (posted it this morning but haven't found the solution yet!)

Guys, when i get bot followed by a 1000 bots or whatever stream elements button to pause alertsd or to mute alerts is bugged. and why does we have a button called skip alert, that only skips 1 alert, its useless. why would i ever want to skip a single 5 second alert of some kind? when i want to skip is skip 1000 . skip all button

On your activity feed, click the double checkmark. That should skill all the alerts.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

1. Right-click your OBS desktop shortcut (not the SE.Live shortcut) and navigate to Properties
2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)
