Hey Everybody! I have a question for a subathon project. Is it possible to create a subathon timer that synchronises with two streams? I would like to organise a raid with another streamer and use a common subathon timer. If I give it my widget, it will only sync if my stream receives a subscription, for example (right?).

Hello, not sure if this is the best place to post this but for about a month maybe my SE Media Request dock in obs doesn't play anymore than for a second or two and then it just perpetually shows a loading symbol. Not sure what the deal is, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin to no avail.

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, however:

I've noticed when Streaming with StreamElements + OBS that a lot of my applications/games take a fairly large hit in performance. I have an overall decent rig with gigabit internet, yet, I'll still experience this on even simple applications like Asesprite.

GPU: ASUS 3080
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3600 MHz

Any recomendations?

So, I'm trying to create a command that basically tells you the last time you used it. The purpose is a sort of "check in".
Example:

I join AAA's stream
I use this command
AAA's stream ends
I join AAA's stream after 15 days
I use the command again
It tells me "you were here 15 days ago"
AAA's stream ends
I join AAA's stream after 3 days
I use the command again
"you were here 3 days ago"

I'd need a variable similar to user.lastactive (or a way to edit/customize it), but that one gets resetted as soon I use the command and gives me "0 days ago" (of course). Is this command even possible? PepeHands

I have two questions regarding tips through streamelements. 1. does the money get transferred to your PayPal straight away? 2. does streamelements take a percentage of your income?

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

Hello! I'm updating my overlays. I would like for my alerts to able to go off isntantly without any queue. Current alerts are: new follower, new subscriber, gifting subs, raids and cheer. I've managed to make my follwer/raid/cheer/subscriber to go off as I'd like, without issue by seperating them into their own overlays. I would like to know if there's a way to seperate my gifted alert, out of subscriber variations so that it too can be in it's own overlay or if there's a way to get it to be able to perform the way I want.

For some reason I cannot login to SE through OBS. I installed the SE.live plugin and when I click on StreamElements > Login and try to login it simply brings up the homepage for StreamElements. Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

We've been tracking this for about 2 weeks now. We will have 1100 viewers/1100 users reported by Twitch in our chat - but when we hand out loyalty points, we see 20-25% more users receiving the points.

Or a very recent example
875 viewsers per twitch viewer list and chat export - Streamer successfully added x points to 1157 users.

Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Hello SE support and community members. I switched over from streamlabs a little while ago now and moved everything over. I used to have a command which worked on streamlabs chatbot and the syntext/variables used where

The command output the amount of time left until the date specified into chat (Example 1 month 2 weeks 4 days).

I couldn't see any replacement variables listed in https://streamelements.com/dashboard/bot/command-variables

If anyone knows how I can make this countdown command work the same/similar way that would be amazing!

Hello. I'm experiencing a very strange thing with streaming. When I stream, my microphone seems to be picking up this incredibly strange noise. There is nothing in my room that makes this sound, so I am utterly perplexed. It's a steady beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep and it's OBNOXIOUS. Seems like you are mixing things. That is not the points, that's chats messages. The command is to transfer points. For the channel that the command is enable I'm checking why you are getting the error, but like I said most likely you will need to contact the creator if you want the points transferred to the new name

Install OBS without letting it run after completion.
Install SE.Live and run after finishing (No need to check the OBS option).
Disconnect and reconnect your account in OBS Settings > Stream.

Overlays are setting 1080p by default.

ive been prompted to do this update almost 20 times now, and ive done it each time. pretty sure its just updating the same thing with no change, even completely uninstalled stream elements and reinstalled, still stuck here. any ideas would help me lots!

Cancel the update -> Uninstall SE.Live -> uninstall OBS Studio -> either install OBS Studio from a fresh installer or grab our installer from here; https://streamelements.com/selive
Just make sure to do some backups by clicking on "Profile" -> "Export" just in case :)
