Due to changes to Twitch API, we have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

Note: If you see X channel has hosted you with no viewers on the back, that is considered an offline host or a host with 0 viewers, we do not show these.

Is there a way to get Hype Cup drops to not scroll on from the right? I want the icons to drop straight down from out of frame. Only way I’ve found to accomplish this is to undersize the widget in StreamElements overlays and then scale it up in OBS so the scrolling bit is out of frame? This works but is a bit fuzzy with upscaling. Making the widget itself taller than 1080px doesn’t appear to work- there seems to be a hard coded limit for the drop height so I can’t simply push it out of frame in the StreamElements overlay itself.

@thick flicker Apparently Allison is one of the TTS voices that are bugged and not working right now. We are working on fixing that.
Meanwhile there are two workarounds for you: either change to another voice, or recreate the alert box from scratch in another overlay. The second one isn't 100% but might be worth a try.

This has been an issue since the channel began, we have our own bot that also has a store command, so when !store is written, there is a double response, and the StreamElements one is not working nor can i disable it.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Not possible unfortunately. But giving you editor permissions isn't difficult, they just generate an invite link on their account and send it over to you. They can revoke the permission whenever they want.

I have tried creating a fresh scene collection with ONLY the alert box browser source and this problem still persists...

I've recently ported everything from Streamlabs over to Streamelements including my alerts. When testing alerts from the Streamelements page, the alerts sometimes play correctly and sometimes do not play at all.

Every time I test an alert, one of three things happens...

Nothing will happen in the Streamelements preview page AND the alert does not play in OBS.

The alert plays in the Streamelements preview but does not play in OBS.

The alert plays in both preview and OBS.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Helo, regarding the usage of the pepe emotes in bot responses. Using !pepes disable does bring forth the response that they have been disabled but the bot still continues to use emotes such as FeelsBadMan and FeelsGoodMan (both as BetterTV Global Emotes). As both of those are pepe emotes the command clearly isn't working correctly. Any way to fix this? Maybe custom responses for the modules?

If you are using OBS with different audio tracks, you can make the track that goes to your stream have the music and an audio track that gets recorded for the VOD not have the music @wispy elk 🙂 Thats what I do

I just ran into a strange issue with the online overlay editor. I am setting up an alert for Followers, Subs, etc..., but when I get to Raids and want to set the animation to "Fade In Down" "Fade Out Up" it doesn't work and just flashes it on the screen immediately. However if I set it to "Slide In Down" Slide Out Up" it will work that way. All of the other category animations work just fine with "Fade In Down" "Fade Out Up". So I am curious if that option isn't truly available for Raids.

I think I found the inherent issue with THAT animation. When used for any other alert the "Duration" can be left on "Default" meaning no user input/change to the time, but on "Default" for Raids it has the instant flash on screen. However, changing the "Default" to "1" makes the animation work as intended.

Adding to that, the !gamble command is the culprit here but it doesn't show up in the modules or the commands or custom commands so there is no way to disable it

Hi 😄 I'm a StreamElements Alert noob, is it possible to have multiple profiles for alerts? (i.e one profile for default sound alerts, another profile for scary alert sounds, and so on) that can be toggled on and off (not general variations of sounds). I'm assuming once a general alert overlay is created, to then duplicate and change up the sounds for it, but is there an easy way to toggle which profile is enabled?

I'm also having an issue with transferring over my alerts from SL, it's giving me "An error occurred" when using the StreamElements Import Plugin for SL.

Well, you can add it manually if you want, or you can just wait for a new follower. SE will capture those data from the day you connected your Twitch account with it. In case want to add it manually for the first time: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/session
Just put the name you want in "Latest follower" and it should appear on your overlay.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I've got a bit of an odd question, and hopefully this is the right channel for it. With Nightbot, we had our death counter set up so that if the streamer had yet to die in-game, the command "!deaths" would display "(Streamer) has yet to die", and one a death was added, it would display "(Streamer) has died X times". We also had a command that, when called, would reset the counter to zero and automatically reset the "!deaths" response to display the original message about the streamer not yet having died. I've got the death counter itself figured out, but is there a way to replicate the rest of that setup with the Stream Elements bot?

The TTS doesn't read them, so I know at some point they can be filtered out of the cheer message technically.

Good morning all! Having a slight issue with a slide within our overlay. We have a looped video that shows our socials/active giveaways and it is just crashing at the end. In overlay settings when we preview the file it says "the video cannot be played because the file is corrupt" even though the file is completely fine when we play it in any video player. So it is set to loop and is completely fine up until the end , then it crashes and therefor can't loop. Any insight as to why only SE is saying the file is corrupt?

so "elements start" in Starting, "Elements main" in "Scene" and Elements end in Ending are the 3 sources that have alerts via SE

Hey, so I'm working on switching all my Alerts from StreamLabs to StreamElements and I'm having an issue with Variations.

I have been trying to change the variations of the Sub Alert, but I set the video I want (it shows in the little preview box in the settings), save variation, go to test and the only thing that has changed is the text stuff. the video stays as the same default one. I go back to edit the Variation, and it shows the Video I want there in the little preview box still, but it just wont play it. if anyone knows a fix or if I'm doing something wrong let me know!

The !watchtime command is directly tied to the Loyalty system. The Loyalty system must be enabled for viewers' watchtime to count up.
To enable Loyalty, please go to the Loyalty section of your account: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/loyalty
Watchtime counts up every 10 minutes alongside Loyalty points, and only while the stream is live. Reruns will not be counted.
Please note that watchtime is not tracked by Twitch and there is no way to retroactively apply past watchtime to viewers.

Just get rid of the dock when you don't need it.

You can hide those docks.

Then add them back when you need them.

If you really wanted to run two separate instances of OBS, you can right click + shift programs and you will see an option to run it as another user in the computer. Most programs will run that way and you can just not install OBS.Live on that instance but it would be significantly easier and less cumbersome to just ignore or hide the docks you don't need.

Hi all. Wonder if anyone can provide some advice.
I’ve used twitch inspector to test stream and I can’t figure out how these answers make sense or if I have settings screwed up:
With dynamic bitrate turned on, regardless of what I set the bitrate, resolution or FPS to I get like 1.5mbps average and pixelisation on real stream.
With dynamic off:
Ran 720p at 30FPS with 3mbps and run at 1-2% framedrop average like 2.8mbps
Ran at 4mbps, 1-2% frame drop average 3.8mbps
1080p at 60fps and 5mbps - guess what, high 4mbps and 1-2% frame drop.
My internet is 120/50.
Soo confused why if I can average 4.8mbps why can’t it sustain 3 happily and be silky smooth at 720p and 30FPS???

Frame drop is from live obviously but in all cases inspector says everything is fine

Really? I’m total noob and I switched from SLOBs to elements in like 20 mins and happy days. Everything transferred simple

No disrespect to the platform. It's just I struggle with getting eveything set up and working correctly. There is chatbots, pay portals ( I don't use paypal and I heard that SE pay was having serious issues, so scary), overlays and alerts, and on and on. I want to move over but this is going to set my stream back for a long time.

I use OBS not SLOBS, but I have been using streamlabs for my alerts and such. I just want to get away from streamlabs. I started streaming in May and to be honest I couldn't get any of to work hardly, there is a guy in my community who has helped me several times to get things working, and if I go to streamelements, then I have no help

So with streamlabs, everything got added in the streaming software as a “widget”. In streamelements you combine the widgets and layout your scene in the overlay editor and then add the single browser source to obs (instead of 4-75 browser sources)

It simplifies obs because you’re not trying to micromanage your widgets

The best thing to do is go to the themes gallery and create an overlay

When you create an overlay in the themes gallery it generates an overlay for the 5 standard scenes a streamer has

Each has a unique URL

So you create the corresponding scene in obs, and add the corresponding overlay to that scene

So label your scene “starting scene” and your overlay “starting overlay”

Hello! I'm actually piggybacking on a previous post from GenghisKharnage. He came in to try and help me figure out the giveaway system and if there's anything you can do to help I would appreciate it. I need this giveaway system up before the streamer I CM for goes live tomorrow.

Summary: I've been given full control over my streamers login for StreamElements. We've had smooth sailing so far except I'm hitting a wall on the giveaway tool. We have loyalty points disabled on the channel as we don't use them. However we use a giveaway tool to do things like choose a chat member to name pokemon after (what we're currently using it for).

I have the loyalty setting turned off (screenshot). And I've set the giveaway too cost 0 tickets and a maximum of 1 ticket per use because i can't set it to 0 (screenshot). However I'm getting no response at all when i try and do anything with the giveaway (2 screenshots).

Any ideas how to get this running properly?

You can test alerts via the Emulate bell on the lower left side of the Overlay Editor. Simply go to your Dashboard > My Overlays > pencil/edit button on the overlay. Make sure the Preview LIVE on stream option is on to see the alert in OBS/XSplit** https://streamable.com/vtulg9

I'm hoping this is something that can resolved easily but my StreamElements activity feed and alerts don't work (except for follows). From what I've been able to piece together I think it's as a result of me changing my username on Twitch since initially making my StreamElements account. My current username is "ianhateshimself" and my previous usernames are "TheVIZNs" (the original name of the account) & "ianhateshimself_" :)

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).
