Okay, so here is my third attempt, since my first two seemed to be ignored. When someone unfollows, i get a false follow alert but only text and animation, not the sound. also there is no noti in chat nor in my activity list in twitch stream manager. happened twice in the last few days. i already contacted twitch about this issue, but no answer so far.

it is possible, check wizebot... you can check your unfollows in your account there. but it is not possible to send an alert for such events into an overlay

Ya. it is possible to do checks like that.... i'm saying there is no event triggered from Twitch whenever someone follows. (For follows, there is an 'event' sent out that tells the overlay who followed and it happens instantly).

Hello! I’m having an issue where my follow alert would glitch in the beginning before playing the sound alert. Example: “w-w-w-whhhhat” instead of saying “what” All my other alerts are fine except the follower alert. I even added some sound effects and one of them also has that same stuttering glitch in the beginning. It would mean so much if I got some help please 🙂

I'm having an issue setting up my new alerts with the font over the image being very faint on the editor/emulation and not showing at all on OBS on my Follower Alert, all of the others are working correctly. The font type, colors and everything are changing as I make changes and save, but its just very faint and hard to see in the editor and absent on Live; I have saved the new changes, I have generated a new link and installed it into OBS and neither of these have worked. Thank you for the help!

@rancid goblet If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@fresh lintel you have to activate the module first. in your streamelements under the bot drop down there is a module tab activate roulette. then under commands go to the roulette command and you can add a secondary command to it such as gamble so people don't type roulette they can use gamble instead. hope that helped that's what i did.

The indicator in your account has no bearing on anything. Regarding your timers, you have your chat lines set to 5 lines and 10 lines. Do you consistently see 5 messages every 5 minutes in your chat?

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

  1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
  2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
  3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
  4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
  5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
  6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Here's what I posted before: I mod for a channel that uses StreamElements to allow people to gamble their loyalty points in the channel. Is there a way to change the message(s) that come up when the person wins or loses the gamble? I realize the streamer would have to do it; I'm just helping them out.

Freshly registered user, my SE doesnt get any follower data from twitch whenever I stream. Doesnt update my current follower amount and trigger any alerts either. It doesnt record any activity whenever I get a follow. It only works whenever I get raided, but it doesnt notify or record activity for follows at all

Hello all! I'm having a problem with SE overlay as well. Seems that it's not reading the Follower data from Twitch and triggering my alerts and updating my labels correctly. Hey :)! So I'm pretty new to the whole streaming stuff and i startet to build overlays with streamelements and bound the into my OBS Studio as a browser source. The Ovleray for the cam works fine, as well as the new subscriber and new follow overlay with the name of the latest ones. But the alerts dont get triggered when i have a new follower. I added a alertbox, modified the videos, sounds and font. When i test it with the testbutton in the overlay editor, i see the alert in my OBS as well as in my livestream. But if somebody follows me, those alerts wont get triggered!? Do i need to enable something or anything else?

Hey again! My stats in Streamelemenst seem to be bugged. Didn't have any followers, chat, hosts ect shown but had a bunch of them the last streams. Also my alerts when somesone followed didnt get triggered. When i manually trigger the alert button (for testing in the overlay editor) i see it in OBS as well as on twitch. Any help here?

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).
