Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

I seem to be unable to add custom cheer variations to the Hype Cup cheer alert. I was able to remove "cheer1" and add back a custom "cheer1", so it is working to some extent, but an attempt to add, say, "cheer102", fails. It shows a "Successfully created variation" toast in the bottom right of the screen, but it is not added to the list, and it is not functional in tests.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the interface? There seems to be no information on how cheer variations are handled for the Hype Cup. There is no minimum amount, so I assume it is dependant on the unique name of the variation? I found an old tutorial that included a minimum amount field, but that field no longer exists in the UI. It would be nice if they had conditions like other variation types.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

@terse elm Right Click Elgato in OBS > Properties > At the bottom there should be a tick box for audio something, select that and choose the audio source. If its fed by HDMI you shouold be able to select the elgato or something, if its the USB one you may need the AUX plug for it. sorry not at home so cant say specifics on whats used for the setup

hi there, i've been having an issue with Extra Life notifications coming in tremendously late or not at all. They do not show on my activity feed and all options are enabled, and it will not activate upon donation. Is there a reason for this you may be aware about? Have I missed something? You can export your scenes individually, or as a collection. to utilize Streamelements to the fullest, I would start with a clean slate and import the assets to streamelements. There is a tool that does import StreamLabs stuff, but it takes a bit of work to import proper based on my experience

Account Merging - Please note:

• Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
• Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
• Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

These are the 2 methods to do it. The second one simple uses the redeem command followed by the item name.

I'm having trouble with my !watchtime command, it's not giving viewers their watchtime, it just says 0 seconds for everyone. Any advice on how to fix it? Also, if there is, will the timer start from the fix, and is the time before the problem was fixed lost for past viewers? Thanks

@earnest sundial 10 minutes of watch time is given to those in chat when the loyalty points are handed out (every 10 minutes). Therefore, loyalty must be enabled to watch time to work properly.
There is no direct link between watch time and all-time points.
It can’t be calculated from the number of all-time points a user has because subs may earn points at a faster rate and !bonus all command increases all-time points for users in the chat at that time.
Giving points to a single user do not affect all-time, only when giving to all in chat.

i have 3 twitch accounts that i stream on and because i use a 2 pc stream setup i dont hear the notifications coming through on the stream pc on the gaming pc and id like to be able to hear them so i know its happening obviously haha

Hi I’ve checked the bot is a moderator and the bot modules are correctly associated with the correct commands but still not working 😩

For instance !watchtime just says the person has been watching for 0 seconds. The !lurk I can’t find in the commands list and so does nothing in the chat. There are a few that aren’t working.

Hey there all of a sudden my OBS has started to play up, whenver I start my stream the dropped frames WILL INSTANTLY jump all the way up to 30%-50% dropped frames and remain there consistently.

Which causes buffering and a massive delay, I haven't changed much that I think could impact it but all of a sudden its been playing up.

@wraith kayak Dropped Frames means that you have a bad connection between your device and the streaming platform and most likely something related to your ISP not handling the connection properly.

Speed tests usually cannot help solve this problem and its best to use this guide: https://obsproject.com/wiki/Dropped-Frames-and-General-Connection-Issues

If you stream to twitch, use the !twitchtest command and do a connection test to your regional servers.

Use the Twitch Bandwidth Test to find the best Twitch server to stream to. Set Duration to Medium. You can uncheck any regions you're not near.

After the test completes, click the Share Result button to upload a screenshot, which can then be copied and pasted here.
