There are still problems with the chat bot!
Longer answers are truncated and sent in 2 messages, although the number of characters is < 500.
And there also seems to be something wrong with the cooldown of the commands. I have the individual on 5 and the global on 0 for each command. However, the command can only be used again after significantly more than 5 seconds!

If you are using the total follower/total subscriber widget, reset your session from the Activity Feed to fetch updated data from twitch. If you’re using goal widgets, you can edit the progress of any goal by going to Activity Feed > Widget Data > Goals. This can also be found in the Overlay Editor by selecting DATA (next to WIDGETS) > Goals.

I'm having trouble getting my alerts to sound in OBS when it is used. The alerts appear clearly and distinctly on the screen, and work as they should apart from no sound. In "Advanced Audio Properties" it is active and is on "Monitor and Output". However, I don't see it in the audio mixer. Does anyone know what the solution might be?

Timbowslice isn't showing up in the system, so the website is still seeing them under their old name. They shouldn't need to part the bot, just have Timbowslice log out of the website and log back in. Then the bot should join when clicking "join"

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

If there were merged accounts when the account was deleted, it will delete all associated accounts, not just one.

For instance, if your Twitch, Youtube and Trovo accounts were all merged, and you placed a request to delete the Trovo account, all 3 would be deleted.

When entering a Global or User Cooldown, what value do the numbers represent? I thought they were entered in seconds, and I want a 30-minute cooldown, so I set it to 1800. But this allowed me to reuse the command after 3 minutes. Wondering if it might be tenths-of seconds, I increased the entry to 18000. This allowed me to use the command again after 24 minutes, so now I'm at a loss.

Hello, prospective new streamer #53821593202 here. I've troubleshot everything I can troubleshoot, and searched far back as reasonably can in search history.
I cannot get alerts to appear properly "live" when Twitch streaming via OBS with the SE.live addon. I've done some testing with friends.
◈ The alerts box is a browser source with the streamelements overlay URL in the URL field, and both "shutdown source" and "refresh browser" options checked.
◈ The "alerts" layer in my dashboard has all alert options checked. I've been specifically trying to get the "Follower alert" to work.
◈ The "play" button is set to ▶ ; if I change this to a pause button, it (rightly?) says when emulating test alerts: "Emulation sent, but paused in activity feed."
◈ The streamelements bot is pointed to my channel, and is modded.

Only when I toggle (press play button to turn into pause icon and again back to play icon) does it then output both the test AND real alerts (friends following to help test) into the live stream, almost as if its queueing them up, but is waiting for some kind of prompt somewhere to output. This is happening with both new and refollows.

I think I may have found the issue after some more digging in post history. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I have one overlay setup for a "follower goal" tracker, and another for my alerts. It looks like there is an issue or used to be with having multiple overlays at once?

I noticed that under the permissions in the chatbot area the channels old name still holds the tithe of broadcaster with the highest permissions, I have set the new one to the highest possible at the moment. but is there a way to reset this and grant broadcaster permissions to the new channel name?

Hi Jong, not sure if you got a solution, but the multiple overlays were what was causing the issue for me. I deleted both overlays, rebuilt the only one, kept the elements i'm using so far separate (follower tracker, alerts) and messed around with browser element proportions to get them to properly appear/fit where I needed them, I pressed the play button in the activity feed so it appeared as a pause icon, then ran both emulated and real alerts (friends helped). Its working properly now.

Hi all, today I ran into a strange problem - I have a very long time set up alerts, which I have not changed in any way, but today for some reason stopped working notification of the gift of a subscription. And what's important, just ONE subgift, multiple subs or any another works fine. All other notifications worked fine. The test notifications are coming properly, the old ones are coming too. But notifications about single gift subscriptions stopped coming even in the activity feed. As if the system stopped noticing them.
What can this be caused by and what should I check to fix it?

I am a streamer for Twitch and I have been offered a sponsorship through you all; which I am grateful for. With the sponsorship though there are some guidelines I must follow. The biggest thing right now I have to use the overlay they have sent me through StreamElements. My issue is I stream directly from my Ps4. I do not use or have a capture card since I am still really new(If needing to go buy one is needed then I will do so). I use Twitch's broadcasting streaming system. I am able to use the manger dashboard and make my stream more fun by merging extensions they offer to make my stream seem more alive. With all of this being said, I would like to know is there a way for me to transfer the overlay to Twitch or even finding a way to send my streams through you all from my Ps4 would be amazing.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Okay I have an update to this still havent figured out the problem but hopefully sharing it someone will be able to help me. I switched from stream elements alerts to streamlabs alert to see if they would show up and play sound they show up but they do not play sound so something maybe through obs or twitch is blocking the sound alert cause the alert shows up in obs just not the sound for some reason i have the alert box in as a separate sound in audio mixer and it is turned all the way up i just dont see why it is niether of them is working

Is there a trick to getting your Custom Bot Name to work with the updated Activity Feed look and feel? I'd enabled it a few weeks ago to try it out but this broke the bot for me as it went back to being referred to as Stream Elements. The only remedy I found was to revert back to the old look and feel and refresh Chat bot Settings in S.E. Live.

I updated my username on Twitch, and now none of the emotes are being read on the StreamElements chatbox! I managed to get 7TV emotes working, but it appears that BTTV emotes and FFZ emotes are still not being read properly.

This is after logging out and back into each of the primary sites to update tokens and everything, so I'm not entirely sure what else I can do!

I have a question: I am using StreamElements on OBS and recently the commands for the bot stopped working. Whenever i do a Custom Command or any command for that matter it doesnt show a message from streamelements. I don't know why this has happened and I have done a few troubleshooting to see if they would fix the issue:

1. I removed the bot as a moderator, signed out of StreamElements, and then re-invited the bot to my channel. That didn't work.

2. Then I tried adding a custom account to the bot since someone said that was a possible fix and that didn't work either.

I'm not sure what else to do. Please help if you can. Thank you

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi - I'm a mod for a streamer who is currently live.. The bot was in her chat but was not responding to commands - now its not in chat - we've followed the troubleshooting guidelines.. Its not banned or muted, she's logged on and off and on again to the dashboard. The bot is still no longer showing up in chat - the status page shows all systems for chat bot as green.. She's a twitch streamer. If i use the /mods command in chat it still shows as being a moderator. Any ideas for us to try? I have read previous posts and see she's not the only one having problems.

Is there a way to force refresh SE Chat or a way for it to automatically refresh once a new emote is added? Update: ... Oh I figured out opening the source in OBS and hitting "Refresh Cache" worked. Is there a more simple and automatic way to do this? Seems cumbersome.

Just wondering, are there any widgets or chatbot set-ups that can be used for viewers' birthdays?

So they can enter their birthdays, and there will be some sort of alert going off during the stream if it's their birthday and they type in the chat.

I am not aware of any. You can check #widget-share and #command-share to see if one exists. If not #dev-chat would be the best place to ask.

Hi! Since the 3rd of March I've been having random crashes of OBS, usually once per stream, last 2 days several times.
It goes down to 0kb/s, still green indicator. Twitch says "unstable" and goes offline. No reconnection. Stream preview is frozen, chat still works. Have to kill the process with the task manager, since it doesn't stop the stream or closes the program.
I've updated yesterday to the latest version. I uninstalled today, will see how it works tonight with a new installation, but I've seen on Twitter there are issues with the latest OBS and SE.Live version?

I have Windows 11 btw.

Edit: tried Beta version of SE.Live that was linked on the SE support Twitter post. Seems to work so far. 1.25h stream didn't get interrupted.

Ello, just trying to do a raffle via stream elements and it's led me down a bit of a rabbit hole. I have changed my twitch user name a number of times and am now using a name that I'll keep for a long time due to being unified across platforms. I'm not sure my logins and chatbot integration is working properly. Had to get people to click on the SE link because !ticket 1 wasn't working. May need to spend some time with someone on this after stream? Would be really helpful to get someone who understands the giveaway systems well.
