If you are using the total follower/total subscriber widget, reset your session from the Activity Feed to fetch updated data from twitch. If you’re using goal widgets, you can edit the progress of any goal by going to Activity Feed > Widget Data > Goals. This can also be found in the Overlay Editor by selecting DATA (next to WIDGETS) > Goals.

To reset goals:

  • from the Overlay Editor > Session data on top right (monitor symbol) > Goals tab > reset progress of desired goal
  • from the Dashboard > Activity feed on the left > Widget data on the right > Goals tab -> reset progress of desired goal

Note: Goal widgets (progress) only counts up and doesn't go down automatically, if you lose followers/subs.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

Hello. Please help. After starting the stream, everything seems to be fine - OBS works everything broadcast, but after entering the stream there is a black screen instead of what is broadcasting. After the end of the stream - VOD Twitch is normally what I had on my screen. Can't see anything live, replay is fine. What could be wrong.

The thumbnail shows the current image, when enlarged it only shows the logo.

And in the broadcast manager it shows me that I am OFFLINE 😦

These error messages only appear with StreamElements Browser sources.

Only when the browser source is deleted, then the error message is gone, but I need the browser sources.

Hello everyone! I desperately need some help.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

Hello! I got the Star Trek Fleet Command sponsorship, & I streamed nearly 3 hours of it today, more than required for the goal. However, my dashboard only shows 57 minutes streamed. I was in the Fleet Command category the whole time, stream using the SE OBS, never halted the stream or anything. Is there a way to get this corrected?

Hello! I recently changed my name on twitch but streamelements bot did not come with me. I tried parting and rejoining in the dashboard but that didn't work either. I'm still listed as my old name, even though it picked up today's stream title on the new name. Seems I'm in a bit of a limbo atm. Is there a way I can move everything to the new name without losing all of my custom commands and such?

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Description of the problem: if multiple cheers happen in a row from one user (?) your system only let's through one. The rest never come in through the notifications.

Someone just tipped me through my Tip Page but there's no notifications for it. PayPal's however showing that it's pending & I got an email from PayPal someone tipped me through eCheck, so it did go through, but why is there nothing in my activity feed about it?

Hi, in general, there are no known issues currently with alerts.
It could be that the person did not use the tipping page but sent it directly to your email address, or it has something to do with it being an eCheck transfer (takes around 5 days to be approved)
Can't really be sure since to us it looks like the transaction did not happen and it is a bit hard to look for something that's not there catslurp

eCheck basically means that the payment was sent from a bank account and not a credit card to your account since this is what the user has linked to his PayPal account, it's gonna be pending for a few days and then either approved or rejected, it's a PayPal thing.

My best guess is that it's because it's an eCheck, but if it happens again on a regular tip (one that is automatically approved, let us know.)

I never linked a Credit Card as I only got one recently which I purposely don't link. Us EU-Citizens don't like Credit/Debt...

As for our Debit Cards, they aren't the same as the rest of the world has (look up Maestro Card, you'll see what I mean), so that option was NEVER an option for me as a EU Citizen.

My bank is connected to my PayPal, but I've never had any eCheck stuff as far as I'm aware.

Theoretically, anything that's able to connect to the tipping page should send an alert, the eCheck thing is just my speculation since that's the only unusual thing about that tip that we know of, as I said I can't be certain because there is literally nothing to investigate in that case, well, because there is no transaction, to begin with.
All of them should be sending alerts and we do not have a list of things that we know that wont show up rooDerp1

Hi!

Whenever i stream, my fps on COD\ floats around 40-50 fps, causing a lot of lag spikes and just basic lag ingame. OBS is running just fine. But i've tried the lowest setting ingame, it doesn't matter if i use the lowest setting, or the ultra setting. Still the same. I tried turning on 'Dynamically change bitrate to manage congestion", this helped. But it kept bringing down my bitrate to 1000-1700. Making my stream extremely blurry...

My CPU is mostly being used for 90-100% while streaming, and my ram ranges around 75%. GPU stays between 50%-75%. I use the NVENC encoder.

I understand MW2 and Warzone 2.0 are heavy games, but it shouldn't be that much of a problem on my system. Yes my specs are a little old, but they're not bad:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8-Core 16-Threads 3.7-4.3Ghz
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11GB
Storage: 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus X470 Gaming 7
Ram: 16GB DDR4
Case: Black Cooler Master MasterBox B500

If you changed your name on Twitch, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again by connecting with Twitch.
  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I am having an issue with a sponsorship stream. Everything is counting towards the goal except for the branded overlay is not counting down at all and I have had it on since the start of my stream 4 hours ago. If it helps, the regular overlays from stream elements haven't been working properly for almost a week. I'm struggling with getting font colors to change and save in "My Overlays."
I'm using Chrome as a browser.
I've tried using RGB and Hex.
Made sure to click away (somewhere on the menu) after editing the value so it registers I'm done editing.
Saved BOTH the variation AND the Overlay.
Tried editing another value. (Everything else saves)
When I go to test or refresh it reverts back to the default color.
I've gotten it to work a couple times but I can't replicate it.
Semi solution of reusing another saved variation but doesn't work for base alerts.

so i have a weird one for ya all.... had an update to my 3080 nividia grpahics card and a windows update.... now when i launch OBS tonight.... which btw i never had this issue last time on Medival Dynasty, the game capture was great for about 5 mins and then the screen went black but was still showing the game hud and compass, still was playing the music.... anyone have any fixes for this? been trying to find some info on it without success

I've tested my internet and can stream no problem, but for some reason my activity won't work and just gives me a network error. When I click connect with twitch the white screen pops up for a second and then it goes right back to the first screen. when I try to click where it says "click here if not redirected" all it does is pull up SE almost like a browser where I am signed in, and then it breaks the activity feed where I can't go back to it.

Consoles do not have native support for overlays. You would need a capture card, PS4 remote play or Xbox companion app and a PC with OBS in order to have overlays over your console gameplay.

Greetings. I've been having a difficult time getting my Twitch chat overlay to appear on stream. It works when you test it, but it wont display on stream while using obs for some reason. I'd love to get some assistance, or at least be pointed in the right direction as to what I should look into that might be the cause of it malfunctioning.

Now that you've added it and you can see that chat box, you can adjust that browser source until it fits using the red gridline surrounding that browser source

I attempted that but since its set to my screen's resolution, it shrinks as I shrink the red lines to match those dimensions.

I believe holding Alt as I adjust the lines might allow me to crop positioning, but I haven't tested enough yet.

I’m having problems recording and streaming on StreamElements because I tried NVIDIA NveNc to work, but the encoder I have don’t work because the error I get is “cannot perform 10-bit encode on this encoder.” Has anyone else experienced this?

thanks for answering, but those variations in the hype cup dont have a play button next to it. I can only edit and delete them. But even if it would have it, I wonders if it would change anything, because when i emulate a cheer100, it plays a variation, that I don't have in the list. If the moderator wants to adjust the sound of the alerts in this situation, they would need to adjust the alertbox. To do this, log into the account via Mod access, Streaming Tools > My overlays > find the mobile overlay > edit

CLick the alertbox layer > Settings > Click each alert and then adjust the volume setting for each alert type. There is no way to adjust all of them at once and you'll need to adjust the variants as well.

  2. On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select Join under bot settings. If it says Part select that and then select Join to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
  3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

Hello. Just reporting a bug with "/timeout" when used in a StreamElements command. It works perfectly for normal names, but when the user has a Chinese (or other non Roman letter) name for a display name, Twitch (or SE) can't convert the name into the actual Roman letter name, and so doesn't time them out.
[I, as a moderator, can use either the Chinese or English name in chat to time them out as Twitch converts the Display name entered to the actual name.]

Hey there, I updated my twitch username yesterday and went through all of the steps posted here to refresh my bot and tokens, but for whatever reason my activity feed is stuck only showing new followers and not subs or raids, even though the activity feed is filtered to show everything. This also applies to my alertbox where it'll play follow notificatiosn but won't play subscriber or raid notifications even though they show up in chat. When I test the overlay in the overlay editor, it'll show emulated sub and raid tests, but never actual subs or raids

Hello guys. I got a problem on my stream. I started streaming and after 20 minutes the game sound starts delaying. after like 10 minutes (30 minutes on the stream alltogether) the delay is like 1-2 sec. Anyone knows what could be the problem? Thank you!

  • My PC = GTX 1080ti, i7-8700K + 16GB RAM

  • My old PC = AMD FX-4170, GTX 660 + 16GB Ram

  • Based on that information, is any of the following possible?

1a) Is it possible to put the 660 inside my new PC to use ONLY for obs to encode with? (not to work with my 1080ti in any way, completely seperate, for different uses - 1080ti for rendering games + 660 purely for encoding obs)
1b) If the above is possible technically, does this raise questions around bottlenecking? - Meaning, would the 660 have to be equally as powerful/fast as what is being sent to it to encode? - Again meaning, would the 660 be able to keep up with encoding the current modern PC or is this not an issue when it comes to encoding?

2a) In addition to the above - I ask the same question, but this time about using the entirety of the old PC as a 2nd streaming PC
2b) Is it possible to use my old PC- AMD FX-4170, GTX 660 + 16GB RAM as a 2nd streaming computer to stream and encode on OBS what is coming from my current PC - i7-8700k, GTX 1080ti + 16GB
