here's a quick question for you: I am using the Overlays and the "your stream's chat" widget. It will NOT show any of the chat command results in the chat, none of the alerts, timed messages, nothing. It even won't show the bits or channel point redemptions. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Is it some setting i need to adjust or an actual issue?

I've submitted a ticket but thought I'd ask here aswell incase anybody else is having the same problem. I've set up all my alerts perfectly but bit alerts aren't registering at all. They work on StreamElements and when I emulate them they show up on SE and OBS. However when I stream, the alerts don't work at all. They don't pop up and my widget bit goal doesn't even register. When I go into data settings, it also shows on there 0 cheer/bits.

Greetings. You can just simply use "add label/tool" while creating/editing overlay, then follow "labels -> subscribers -> totall and all time -> subscriber count". After adding this label, you can set up the period of count (session, all time, monthly, week, atc.) so you need "session count" and you'll see number of subscribers in every session separately (new stream -> count from 0). Then you need to set up "Auto session reset" in "activity feed -> widget data" (SE will automatically reset session data 15 minutes after stream end). It will also reset session data (you can find wich ones are they in "Activity feed -> widget data -> session data". If messages fade after few seconds without changing overlay, you have to set up "permanent message" in SE website on every chat label separately. If messages fade only after changing overlay, then you have to turn off "shut down source when not visible" straight in OBS on every single URL added in sources. Right click on source with URL -> properties -> sroll down. This choice is usually "checked" in deafult setting.

Chat label = layer in SE website (stream chat). There you can choose if messages fade or stay permanently in layer settings.
If you already choose to show messages permanently and in OBS you choose to not shut down source when not visible and problem is still not solved, then:
- Reinstall OBS or find actualizations
- Contact technical support of OBS studio

Hello, I have an issue with my alerts, they were working fine yesterday, and they're not working anymore today. The Events appear in the Activity Feed, but nothing happen on the Overlay.
I've tried it with a default overlay, and nothing happen either when I emulate the event either.
I've been trying to think about something I would have done between yesterday and today that could cause this, but I can't think of anything.

I know. I told you step by step how to show it in overlays. Just check on SE website the settings of widget data and setting of overlay layers. Layers has to be set to "total subs" and if you have 0 in widget data, you can just simply write to SE support to repair that count with proove that you have certain amount of subs.

If you tried to open the old version directly (using the direct URL), it won't show anything, that's expected. You need to revert to the old version first clicking on the cog icon and then "Revert to previous version".

If any other default command works and this is the only one that doesn't, try to logout from Streamelements and login again, making sure you are connecting to the correct platform (Youtube). Disable and enable the command again. Create a new alias for it (with a completely different name to test) and test the alias.

Hello, I'm trying to utilize TTS monster for a future chat bot, but I'm running into an issue. the TTS speaker on stream elements won't be quiet. I'm not sure if this is only while previewing audio or not, but I want to be certain that Stream element's TTS is disabled so it doesn't interfere with what I'm attempting to set up.

Excluding the follower alert which is a singular one all the other enabled ones would have the base alert along wirhvany variations you would have added.
After that as long as you hit save it shoudl not trigger period.

The way I got it layed out rn, it's playing both the 25 and 50 sound at the same time.

Ask the streamer Nmplol to logout and login as well, that should work.

They don't want the goal to be 0-500, they'd like it to be 0-3000 but already filled up to 2500.
I can't find the right code to write the widget goal so that the final goal includes the total already accrued.

I could use some help, and I'm sorry if I've missed something simple. I'm trying to set up streamelements and obs studio for the first time, and I saved a theme on the streamelements site. But all the guides I find are about a year old at best, and the options I have do not match up. The guides I find seem to indicate I should be able to hit the theme tab and then the one I downloaded should just appear in my overlays, but there's nothing available in the overlay tab except for an empty new one and I do not have a theme tab, just elements which I assume is the same? I found another guide that mentioned clicking edit on the theme to go to the editor, but it takes me to a completely different one from the overlay editor.

I was able to correct the issue I needed help with above, but it's brought up a new problem. Once I'm in the element editor and swap to the background layer, everything on the foreground gets removed. Not hidden, it's no longer in the on-screen components list.

I only have editor role as a moderator but both moderators are having the same Pause/Play/Mute issue.
the broadcaster is not having the same issue and he uses GroundControl.

I was wondering with how I’ve setup and saved all the overlays for my streaming. Is this able to carry over to Xbox? Recently, I’ve been streaming directly to twitch through Xbox, and I noticed some other links that I could stream through.
I was wondering if this was applicable to the Xbox setup. Or if not, I think I was reading somewhere that you can transfer streaming elements over from OBS to Streamlabs/other streaming services. I am wondering how easy this process is to keep my OBS settings in another software to be able to use these more effectively.

It will not. What is requested is what will be given regardless of whether or not it is something that will cause copyright headaches.
HOWEVER
If you're using OBS you can use the OBS twitch vod track feature to where it will still play to stream but not save the audio to the VOD.

Users can choose to make the channels that they subscribe to public or private. By default, all settings are set to private.
Private: When a users subscriptions are set to private, no other user can see what channels they subscribe to. A user's account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if they are subscribed.
Public: When users subscriptions are set to public, another user can see what channels they subscribe to. User subscriptions are listed on their channel page, and their account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel they subscribe to.

I got another suggestion to exclude streams by using this:
you could do id=CHANNELIDHERE&exclude=[LIVE] and it should filter out any "videos" with "[LIVE]" in the title

If donator sends 3 Euro, 3 Mexican Pesos or 3 Dollars, the amount will be 3.

I have Loyalty and Roulette turned on. I'm testing it in chat while offline. Roullete is set to work Both online and offline. I can gamble (!gamble 1) and my points are changing according to the leaderboard, but there are no StreamElements chat messages. My other commands and timers are working, but no roullete responses. Also, of the 16 gambles, every single on has lost. I just tried !slots and that is also reducing my points but no chat messages. Why are the SE gambling messages not showing up in my chat?

Hi! My SE is working fine apart from the "!command" command. Toggling it, changing the command name, adding aliases, & changing the user level don't do anything. All the other commands work fine & I know cooldown & cost aren't an issue. Command is enabled online & offline.

I've been wanting to get a custom bot name while I use OBS. I know I have to use Se.Live but it doesn't seem to work on a Mac. Is there a work around or I have to use another company for a custom bot?

Unfortunately SE.Live for mac relies on an older version of OBS and isn't a separate version like it currently is with windows.

I found a work around. If you go into Twitch dashboard (not on OBS, like the website) and send the test message you can click on Stream Elements name, there should be a pencil you can click and "change username". That worked for me, I'll try to screenshot when I'm back at my computer

Since at least 10/20 (that's when i noticed it) most of the SE default chat commands are activated by itselfs in a channel i mod for. For example the songrequest command. When i de-activate them in SE it says "saved" but they are active again after a while.
It seems not to affect every channel. I'm modding for another channel without the issue but i know another channel who struggles with it too...
Anyone else experiencing this and/or maybe has a solution?

I really really really think, it should be a 8 day campaign instead of 7 days. Especially for small streams. Its just wierd for me:
I stream monday and thursday. When I start the campaign a monday right before the streams I am only able to run it in 2 streams, cause the next monday doesnt count cause its 8 days after the start.
While 8 day campiagn would fit in everyones timetable, I guess. No matter if you stream 1,2 oder 7 days a week.

Overlays are loading very, very slow... is there any known issue? It is mostly in the evening hours in Germany. Website is even slow too most of the time. Alerts don't work properly. Anybody with similar problems here?
My internet connection is fine with my speedtest.
I have to wait for about 5 to 10 minutes that everything is shown in my overlay for streaming... that's very frustrating.
Refreshing everything is taking even a lot of time.

I duplicated my Main overlay and disabled TTS and am using that for my GamePlay Scene in OBS but when switching Scenes it is replaying the Alerts that alerady Trying to figure out why and how I can have a version of all my alerts that are the same except NO TTS enabled

This is a bit of a combined SE and OBS question.. I added an alert widget to SE where I made it so it ONLY does TTS for alerts. When I put that in OBS and click "Control audio in OBS" it doesn't split it.. it's still coming as desktop audio. Is there a way to split it so it's on it's own audio mixer?

My overlays for latest subs/follows/cheers/donations, my alerts, my costum chatbox and everything which is integrated as a browsersource from SE is takting a very long time to load (even my browserdock in OBS), too. I refreshed everything several times, but it doesn't help. Some times some sources aren't shown again and the space where the source is placed stays empty. My network connection is working fine, if i do a speedtest, but SE is most of the time sooooo frustration slow.

Hi! New here, but I just realized that for some reason my Stream Elements stopped updating my activity feed two weeks ago so none of my recent followers have been updating on stream. I’ve tried logging out, then back in and that does nothing. It’s up to date on both Twitch and StreamLabs, but not through StreamElements which is where the link comes from to pop up on the OBS overlay.

If you're using the default widget you're stuck with the options it provides.
Custom community made ones yes but only if the creator provides it. Otherwise you're figuring out on your own.
