I would actually suggest doing the following:

||Make Skull Cavern dives without stairs or craft like 3 or so yourself just to skip hard floors, find iridium, get a pickaxe, then make an iridium band if you didnt already drop one from another method and then go for Crystalariums and put jades in them||

Because mining for jade is very unrealistic I think

what I do is ||I spam click in the direction of the mob endlessly until it dies and it doesn't get to hit me, if I get swarmed or I am low I just open the inventory, put a high hp food in the slot I am currently holding, leave the menu and immediately right click resulting in the game pausing and letting me eat, and then I immediately pause again, put my sword in that spot and we good||
