The way to know if it's one of those quests where collecting it fresh is part of it, look at the quest page. If it has two slider bars, one saying "gather" and one saying "turn in", then you have to do both.
Some quests you can just use what you have. Others, you simply have to gather the items and don't even have to turn them in.
If there's a time limit on it, there will be a clock icon on the quests menu. No clock means no rush; do it when you can.

Mushroom cave you choose from Demetrius after hitting a money goal and is located on your farm. 1.6 ||Mushroom logs are craftable and need to be placed next to a tree.|| 1.16 ||Mystic trees with mushroom logs have a higher chance to spawn purple mushrooms||

Ancient fruit is more practical, expecially early game. No need to replant, get a harvest every week instead of having to keep track of 13 days.

There are certain late game strategies that make starfruit better, but this is not the channel for that discussion.

No. Cauliflower won't be ready in time for you to sell and get money for the Egg Festival. They'll be ready the morning of the Festival, but Pierre won't be buying that day, so no money.
Buy potatoes with your 500.
Or, optionally, you can buy 1 cauliflower and 1 bean starter (and the rest potatoes), which will allow you to complete the Spring Crops bundle ON the 13th, which rewards you with 20 Speed-Gro. You use that Speed-Gro to plant 20 strawberries the night you get back from the festival (have the ground tilled and watered beforehand) and those 20 will give you 3 harvests instead of 2.
Any other strawberries you buy will only have 2, but still worth it.

Late game 1.6 gives you an option that'll give you the reach to hit the inner layer (So you can do a 5x5 around a sprinkler)

Also, don't remove every fence, you only need to clear every third, if my math is right (So you can access the diagonals from the small gap)

They gradually increase in population but there's a cap, you need to give them certain items to increase that population cap

Past a certain population, they have a chance to give you items depending on the fish type

By the time you really need defense you have enough food to chug the living hell out of life

when monsters are dealing large amounts of damage you will need a lot of defense for it to be useful

+1 defense = -1 damage taken per hit
Quite shit when boots give you like +4 and monsters do 50 damage
