Eh. Depends. Fruit bats are better for CC rolling, mushrooms are consistent food and money

If you're new-inexperienced at the game, I'd advise mushroom. It gives more money if you're selling the stuff, and the mushrooms are a decent early game energy source.

If you're more experienced, I'd go with Bat cave, because the early advantages fall off quickly anyways, and caves long term aren't valuable. So the the advantages of bats (quicker/easier CC completion, foraging xp, and fruit for gifting) is likely to be more useful.
