They did make a mistake that instead of incremental, part by part updates they designed HUGE updates... People are very much impatient these days.

EA used to mean "I think this game has cool ideas and I want to SUPPORT this to become better, hopefully it will"

And it somehow became "I BUY a game EARLY so I can play it FASTER!"

I believe what's actually going on is, that they're completely rewriting some logic that dictates wow the rails work in fundamental way and other systems.

I believe because when they tried and fix the bugs, they realized their previous code is bull and they'd just shoot themselves in the foot later...

Which is fine and all but COMMUNICATION is king.

They haven't really communicated that to their audience, so there's anger etc...

Early Access will definitely be this year - Soon 🙂 Demo will run until Early Access and demo is ruffly only about 5% of what will be in Early Access. Exploreable area of Archipelago in demo is only about 2.5% of what will be in Early Access. Early Access will be announced when it is time. See the latest post here #│announcements message from Yar_Master. As far as price and packages, that will most likely follow Early Access Release info.

Also, characters, items and buildings will not transfer to the Early Access, it is part of the demo – different client, different game builds. So enjoy playing the demo for now until that time 🙂

Is there a way to climb out of water? I built a pier, try to jump from ship to pier, and unsuccessful so I have to swim to shore. I made a makeshift dock at the pier at sea level, but can’t climb into it. Can’t walk up stairs that go into the water. Can’t walk onto a platform under the water level. as well even if i fail to stay to $120, i wont ever fail so bad that i spend $400 that year. i might only fail by spending $160 that year, instead of $120, so it helps keep my finances down. i also don't go bowling or spend money much on entertainment irl either. so it's a false comparison.

Sometimes if you wait long enough it will go ahead and load. Some sort of bug I assume. Most of the time when it happens I get impatient and relog. Hopefully they will get it working properly soon

  • You will die. And die. and die again. It's soul-lite. expect this.
  • Enemies hurt, upgrade equipment with workbenches once you know how
  • Practice the Parry and Dodge mechanics. a Perfect parry may cause the enemy to become stunned.
  • You can not get iron.
  • you can not make gunpowder (farmed from pirates)
  • you can not disassemble old items.
  • you can summon your boat even if your swimming (to help avoid drowning)
  • Tree dont regrow.
  • Stone Piles don't respawn.
  • You can't mine sulfur (requires iron pickaxe), and even if you obtain it, you can't use it.
  • The Copper mines respawn every 2 hours.
  • sweet potatoes and cayenne peppers do respawn if you dont mess up the terrain they're in

As far as price and packages, that will most likely follow Early Access Release info.

Also, characters, items and buildings will not transfer to the Early Access, it is part of the demo – different client, different game builds. So enjoy playing the demo for now until that time 🙂

you can repair a shipwreck and rescue sailors to get a Ketch when you finish that questline.

past that, you can damage a blackbeard ship enough through naval combat (with your ketch's cannons) to board it.

when you do that, you have to defeat enough enemies to make it successful, you get loot and you destroy the enemy vessel. you don't get to claim the enemy vessel as your own

well, that's not the issue.
I usually start with friends. then grind, while they are offline - because they aren't interested in that part.
and then we can just keep going, when they are back.
they don't care about basebuilding. if it where up to them, they would just set up workbenches and beds right on the ground without anything else.
doesn't matter what game, I usually have 4-5 times more hours on the clock then them, because that's the time I spend with grinding and basebuilding.
which I enjoy. Would just be fun to not do it alone, sometimes 🤣

Guys i gotta tell you something. I have been looking for a solid game for like past 3 years. Went from MMOs to MOBA to simulators and to be honest with you - I wss looking for a game, that will finally brought me back to world, where i will feel free and i will be able to escape. I did finish the demo some time ago and I was really excited. I started playing THL, just to play something else. And not week after I am sitting here like crazy man, waiting for the game to come out. It sort of creating in my this neverending thirst - so to speak, which i believe all gamers have. Yeah, the lack of farming, so no replanting, is slightly annoying.
The loading screen title card telling me to just go to Tortuga and buy the missing pieces of my set is pretty infuriating in the demo.
