I would personally do a reg. roof on top to not follow any of the angles. And just angle it so it's slightly off on all sides. The weirdness of the concept would balance out, but I also love the way you solved it as well, tanning roof XD

I like the challenge alot of times lol. make things look as straight as possible. as little visible clipping as possible. I'll clip all day long, but I'll spend 30 mins figuring out just the right way to do it to not leave any uneven lines

Yeah, I've got a lot of dead space in some of my works because of the clipping. I know I saw someone building a big town/city on here with some interesting shapes and Im so excited to see how they roof it. In my residentials I've taken to making a flat roof, and adding a smaller squared up building on top of that with a pointed roof.

haha just check out google images for wooden cranes and take loose inspiration from their designs, and then make your own kinda like it

You should set up your screenshots so we can see everything nicely.
Hide your UI with the /? button beside Right-Shift.
Hide your character by pressing their backs against a (temporary) wall.
Use leaf rooftops to create a ramp up to a scenic viewing spot, then just break it on your way back down.
And finally, you can also adjust your FOV in the settings menu to zoom in or out.
