I prompted firefly to create a 3d image with a neon text "some name" with rainbow cirular background. Everything looks good, but it never gave me the right text "some name" , one or the other letter missing. I have put my kids name there, but never gave me an image with exact spelling. Do you mean those individual textures on each of the letters? You want to put those onto the second logo?

If you use the second image as a Structure Reference and the first as the Style Reference, you can get something similar. It would likely be extremely difficult to generate that with the same textures.

If you want the exact-same textures as the original photo, you'd have to do this a different way.

Well, then you'd do the work in Photoshop or if you're trying to make a true logo (a resolution independent graphic) then you'd create vector art with Adobe Illustrator.

Actually, if all you want is to have one image cross-fade to another, you can easily do that in Adobe Express or in Photoshop Elements

I will admit that I use Photoshop elements for that sometimes because you can do it so fast.

but when it works, its an entirely different kind of tool.

and there isn't anything else out there that has this functionality (that i'm aware of)

and tried out generating text effect with "[outline-strength=10]"
("variable (10-100) Lower values will push your elements further outside its bounds."),
and did not get the same dispersed effect as shown in the example.

It used to just extract those words from the prompt and apply the styles, but they’ve changed it so it doesnt do that anymore

I havent tested recently but I guess the style is gonna carry more wheight, as in text it might be caught up with all the other words

Think of it like a forum for troubleshooting and inspiration. Midjourney has their own way of generating images and isn't comparable to Firefly in that way. There are a lot of Adobe servers (including Photoshop) that also offer support and feedback, you can find them linked in #welcome.

Midjourney really confused a lot of people new to generative AI. Feel free to ask any questions you may have as you test out Firefly!

Oh. Pardon me, I was not aware that we were speaking Photoshop. I think not, I think it will regenerate all the instances. Not sure if this is any helpful but perhaps repeating the process while keeping your generated layer intact. Weather by converting to smart object whether by merging it down

I looked at the credit table in the FAQ and from what I read the 1000 credits will be renewed in the month, I should wait to have a clearer comparison.

Companies running cloud applications must comply with the law (child exploitation, fraud, etc) and they also need to access content to provide services. Scott Belsky has commented on twitter:

The one thing I'm still finding unclear in their clarified policy is whether it governs content uploaded/processed/stored in the Adobe Cloud, or whether it applies to their software in general. Even in the clarified terms, it still sounds like using Adobe's products gives them license to spy on whatever you're creating, even if it's on your private hardware. That feels like an overreach and breach of privacy.

For projects on your personal computer Adobe only needs access to deliver their services. This can be if you use the remove background or neural filters, which is not processed on your computer.

This differs from content stored on Adobes servers “ For content processed or stored on Adobe servers, Adobe may use technologies and other processes, including escalation for manual (human) review, to screen for certain types of illegal content”.

So no Adobe does not have access to random documents and projects stored on your computer like a 1984 dystopia.

Yeah, the whole thing could be explained more clearly for the non-lawyer reader I guess. It still reads like 'in order to provide our software, we may monitor what you're doing automatically or manually to make sure it's not illegal', and they don't specify that they're only able to do that if you upload a file or process a file on their system. I think the term "Services and Software" is pretty broad.

Obviously I don't think Adobe's going to be randomly checking everyone's InDesign projects to make sure they're not laying out fake IDs or whatever, but the terms still make it sound like they theoretically could, and that weirds people out.

I think Adobe's got a weird line to ride. They're offering tools for users to create with, but increasingly adding services that do some of the creation itself. I consider the neural filters, Express, Firefly etc. to be services because they're provided by Adobe's system and not my own, so I can see why they'd need the right to control that. It's that difference between services and software that's getting blurry... seems to me their best bet would be to state outright that they are not liable for nor able to access anything the users create with Adobe products on their own hardware. Since they've not really done that, it leaves speculation floating.

Its a work in progress, it takes time to build a great AI. The biggest advantage of using Firefly is that you know you wont misuse anyones IP/copyrighted art. That leaves a limited stock of material to train the AI, but it will get better with time

Photoshop is asking me to "check the connection and try again", my firewall settings seems to be fine, Creative Cloud wasn't loading my credits as well until I've turned a VPN on. 🫠

As you are experiencing issues across I'll say that you may try to log out and in both from CC app and to Firefly on web, ensure your connection is fine. Also , let us know if the issue keeps on persisting

ive also been wondering on how can i create a picture with inner parts that will be reinterpretted, but that need to retain their main/edge structure. i used this method a lot when i was a big bluewillow fan, i would create images and then take more time to use image2image on smaller parts to get better versions of them inside the picture (or fix issues). when i try this on firefly, it doesnt seem to retain much, or im doing something wrong.

Midjourney's Niji model is specifically trained on anime and manga. Firefly isn't. While you can probably get it to render some anime-like images, its not going to be as good as Niji. Focused models will always perform better than the generalized ones.

Firefly doesn't have anything like -cref in Midjourney. There are Structure Ref and Style Ref but that's not quite the same.

Firefly does have Style Reference which is like the --sref feature in Midjourney.

Firefly has Structure Ref which is more like ControlNet and that is not available in Midjourney.

Try uploading the image with a white background in the same size as the canvas in firefly (if you want a square, upload the image as a square).

Then try dropping «written as text for love».

Not sure its gonna work but firefly seems to prefer non-transparent images in structure reference, and short specific prompts without abstraction

Sorry, am travelling and missed this. If you go to the Adobe Express home page, the top row of functions should have a row of boxes which probably starts with “text to image”. If you scroll right, “text effects” is one of them.

Ah, ok, in text effects you have to use the fonts available. If none are what you want, you need to use the structure reference technique that I think Stian was talking about.

There is no way to ensure correct spelling with text to image and no structure reference. The models are not able to spell well.
