@vague scarab there's no way currently to have a consistent character by uploading an image, although personalized results is listed under in exploration on the firefly website, there's no details on if/when that would be possible, the only way to do it would be with text to image and prompts so you're likely not going to get the exact same character

As Jack mentioned you maybe not get the same result but you maybe can try to use Tools like "Save as Favorite" and as I show in the Screenshot "use as reference Image" and play around with these. You can try to explain you character with words as good as you can and maybe add something like "age of 5 ... age of 15 ... age of 20 years" or similar. Hope that helps a bit.

Hi everyone, I am having a very hard time here and could use some help. I have images that started at 1024 x 1024 and I upscaled to 2048 x 2048 but the mockup image I have requires the image to be 1521 x 670.5 and I am asking for help on how to change it to those specs without distortion. I have experience and have photoshop and illustrator and could find a way to make it a vector first if needed then to resize to the size I need if that would work. Please advise. hi folks. i'm encountering a particular bug in recent build that i don't see any mentions of in here. i've posted about it on the forum and received no response a while back.

its kind of a crippling bug that must be more widespread than my experience.

the generative fill is broken at bias towards original image below 60-80% or so. if you select any more bias towards original, you get the entirety of the image processed, but inserted into the masked space as a picture-in-picture, scaled down. I asked about this on the forum and was given the advice of 'just move original slider all the way to the right'

@vague scarab if you're using text to image, you won't be able to generate an image with transparency so likely not, although you can use it to get inspiration to create your own

in firefly alone, no. But if you have Photoshop you can generate the assets and cut out the center to leave room for your camera. but keep in mind that Firefly images are currently not allowed to be used for commercial purposes (such as monetizing your stream for example)

I have noticed three general causes of this error:
• "bad" words (swear words, violence, sexual)
• proper nouns of people (such as using "Andy Warhol" in a prompt)
• foreign language words

You generally have to use a process of elimination to be sure which word it is. In this case, I would target "Kawaii". Try removing that word and see if you still get the error.

Note, there is also a feedback option where you can specifically say you believe the "bad word" was bogus.

The model is only trained on materials that are in the public domain.

Copyright protection generally lasts for 70 years after the death of the author. If the work was a "work for hire", then copyright persists for 120 years after creation or 95 years after publication, whichever is shorter.

Thanks. I was aware of the discontinue of the 3d features. I don't use these. I already looked at the article and it serves no help. I was working with them yesterday, no problem, and as soon as I installed the new version it stopped. I found a forum thread with other people in the same situation. @solid jasper You may be on to something with the Nvidia drivers issue. Just last week, Photoshop kept freezing up. So I downloaded the latest version and haven't had any issues since. An updated driver was released for my system in August and the only way to know was to visit Nvidia's site.

You could install the Geforce Experience App. That can check for driver updates when you start up the machine. Just check for new drivers but not install anything. Then you can decide if you want to install the latest stuff. (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/)

Things are happening so fast in AI, ML and graphics cards are doing so much more of the work. Thus, it's good to keep GPU drivers up-to-date.

The system doesn't differentiate. So, the monthly credit limit set would be for however one would like to use the tool, whether it be for the #DailyTheme or any other project. Hopefully this helps!

hmm. i wonder how, now that things have launched, cost or availability of credits will be sorted out. mostly cause with beta, it was possible ot get good results but often required thousands of generations.

part of why its possible to get quality results previously is because out of several hundred nonsensical, glitched-out generations, there may be a few that actually get what you're trying to do. (assuming they're not entirely broken 'censored' prompts which is where system can't figure out what to do and just repeat-fails, which still count as credits used btw.

and it is still a very useful tool if there is some way to get past that. but it requires a lot of experimentation and fiddling to get meaningful output. and even paid plans have allowance of jobs that someone can easily exhaust within an hour of using generative fill in hope of getting something that is optimal.

Today is my first experience trying to use the 25 credits. They were used without anything anywhere near workable result in generative fill, within roughly 5 minutes. That’s fine- I am not going to be making angry statements here or anything, just that the pricing plan design seems at odds with the way the tool can be actually useful - which is hundreds of generations for each prompt and continued re-prompts and re-editing of previously-accepted result. often for hours.

If the intended purpose is to make certain kinds of edit faster for a person working, the result is that it’s faster to just do the desired task manually. I realise that may be an intended design to protect jobs of those who may be adversely affected. But it’s something that would probably hamper broader adoption.

well i work here in our company many ears, and i think since yesterday i burned ~200-300 credits. not only firefly generation but also generative fill with small corrections on pictures.
+every recolour with illustrator is 1 credit
Now we have to consider that not every generated image is perfect, and it may well be that you click 10 times + 6 more clicks for adjustments to be relatively satisfied.
then the post-processing. If you are inexperienced and don't really know the prompts, credits are added again.

I don't think so, because none of it is perfect, whether by generating something new or by editing it, both variants add more credits

you have to estimate what is more profitable.
Invest time and edit it conventionally, or press generative fill 5-10 times. 🙂 I think many people will make it easy for themselves.

The designer or artist that has skills might eventually use generated images just as idea or eventually reference and early concept unlike some people that want the generated images to play a large part of the work

The latter one is much more likely to burn through credits fast

Although still, 1.000 credits in 2 hours id almost unrealistic for me

What might burn much faster tho is 3D stuff and more demanding features

Me too - I use CC every day. It's not that I can't afford it. The point is that significant improvements that have been needed, in some cases, for years, continue to be ignored. Adobe also discontinues some truly innovative software (e.g. Muse & Dimension) while purchasing other companies that offer the same functionality, but without replacing the discontinued CC apps. Yeah, you can get a whole other 3D subscription. I really wish we had the option to build our own for the same cost as a single suite.

Good question. This is not the answer just what I see. Using the Content Authticity, no where do I see my name. Only Adobe's. That is with Text to Image and Gen Fill in Firefly.

I think there was a ruling in the US (which is the legal domain for the agreement we as users have with Adobe for using their products) said that the human who, through AI, creates something, has the copyright.

I might be mistaken, but it’s the same principal as photography, where the person who pushes the button on the camera has the copyright. Not the person owning the camera. This has lead to some weird cases, fex. Where a monkey took a selfie with a camera, and the photographer had to fight for the copyright as some people stole the picture and claimed the monkey had copyright

Can I generate an image using the style of another image? For instance: I have a photo of two people and I want to create an illustration of the photo in a specific style. Is that possible with Firefly?

Not an exact image but you can get “in the style of” promots pretty easily @celest leaf

“… in the style of Rembrandt/picasso/Rockwell” all give those styles pretty well
