I don't think it's really about the words in the prompt. I say that because sometimes Photoshop redacts a couple of the generated images for "violating community guidelines," but allows another one to get through. It almost seems as if, if the generated result contains too much skin-like color, then it rejects it. For example, say I've generated a beautiful woman but she has six fingers and no thumb. Maybe I select one of the fingers and ask the generative fill to create a thumb here. Sometimes some of those queries get rejected.

That is so far only reason to lose them, as they connected to your browser history. Besides that you won't see them if you are logging in from mobile device as web and mobile arent sharing the same history

I was signed out when I tried to open Firefly today, the cache was obviously removed but I don't know why. I never deleted any browser history or cookies. It had just been a few days since I logged in. I don't have any automatic cache removers either. Same PC and same browser.

Since it is cache based I would not rely on the favourites anyways. For now I would suggest bookmarking the prompts you really like ( although the same prompt might give different result in the future due to an updated model for example), and use the Gallery as a fun nice to have beta feature.

@silver cloak , @neon aspen or anyone interested, this is what I do in text to image to get Firefly to spell correctly. Some tips for the words.
Spell the word correctly at first and generate until you get something close.
Identify the one image that is closest to what you want
Spell the word incorrectly in the prompt i.e. "Adoooobe" if the o was wrong, between 3 and 5 duplicate letters is best for changing/adding a letter.
Next select the image identified earlier as a reference image and slide the slider all the way to the left, let it regenerate, slide the slider back to the right to roughly inside the edge of the image below, until it messes the word up again then slide it slowly back to the left.
This should give you a word with the letter corrected, you may have to hit refresh a couple of times,
Identify the next letter to be changed/added.
Select the newly corrected word as a new reference image, this acts like locking in the order of the letters, and follow the process above until you have the correct spelling for your words/sentence.

Using this method allowed me to spell 'Life is like a box of chocolates' using text to image only

Weird question, but what happens to the generated images after you sign out? I did a few, and even added some to *Favorites, but I can't seem to find them anymore

The only way to be sure to have them is to download the image.

My Favs are still there. They are saved locally. If you clear your cache, you'll most likely lose them.
