what are you using to zoom in and out personally I use the two finger pinch on my trackpad, but you can also use your mouse wheel and the shortcut + - Same for brush size the square bracket left to make the brush smaller and right square bracket to make it bigger

Protip: Upload this image to Gen Fill/Inpaint on Firefly for a nice blank canvas, if you use the brush to select the entire image, you can enter a normal prompt to get a much larger generation than in the image generation mode, and, as a bonus, you can use the genfill tools as normal to alter the generation to your heart's desire, unlike with the linear image generator. The style keywords even work in Genfill!
