If people don't know how something works, I can understand that they might be scared. After we talk to those people about the vision we have for Firefly and the precautions we're taking, almost everyone understands why and what we are doing to keep Firefly ethical, safe and tailored to work with the artists and not against them

PRO TIP instead of putting a style you want as an influence into the prompt, put in some descriptive verbiage inspired by the style. You'll get more interesting results

One thing i was thinking of is the fact that google and pinterest also scrape the internet without permission and make money from it but the bigger problem is that unlike Google and pinterest that mostly is useful, AI Art is hurting artists and not very useful for them

(There are plenty who don't really care or would give permission) and then train on their images then AI would have started of ethical. But honestly the major problem here isn't breaking copy right laws, even if all was gone the right way people would still complain cuz People don't like changes

@civic quartz I will answer you here in more detailo as to not clog up the image channel with text: first of all you add the text you want using ***Text "HELLO" ***for example, run a genration to see which letters it got wrong. Then you purposely misspell the word depending on which letter is wrong ie. "HELLLLO" once that letter is correct you lock it in by making it the reference image then move on to the next letter using the same technique. If you are doing more than one word it can get time consuming, my personal record is seven words correctly spelled on an item, which took many hours spread over two days to finalise. Hope that helps.

@buoyant glen no idea what you're talking about, yes there's some censorship, it's made clear upfront, if you feel as though something shouldn't be censored you're welcome to report it in the website interface using the various reporting tools. You can specify what you want to generate, but if you're using racial slurs you're not going to get any results.

I assume you have requested access at https://firefly.adobe.com/ if so then you need to wait until you get the YOU'RE IN! e-mail, from there you need to login at the same web page, using the e-mail address you used to sign up. *** This MUST also be the primary e-mail associated with your Adobe ID***, once logged in click on any of the buttons that say generate and start prompting in the browser

There have been several cases when people who were requesting access met this issue in the following scenarios.

If they were applying with an email that has no Adobe ID associated with it.
If the email to which invite arrived was not the primary email associated their Adobe ID.
If they were signing in with via social accounts (social sign in).

Do any of the things mentioned apply in your case?

I have used Ps since 98 ,Yeah im that old , Im a bit scared 🙂 Firefly gives you so many options and opens for new ideas, it really blows your mind. I have bin on the brakes about using it in my graphic work

Disappointed that the Beta doesn't allow any commercial usage, given that one of the big selling points of Firefly is that its' library is supposed to be rights cleared.

At minimum, I think the interface should have a reminder of that for as long as the results can't be used for commercial purposes, along with a link to what that exactly means.
