Providing feedback for your Elemental Shaman Farseer raid build. It shows Elemental Equilibrium as a talent, but this requires routine use of a frost spell, which is not in the rotation. I would recommend changing this to Storm Frenzy.

Seems like a bug. It's the "Hair decorations" option for "Bouffant". Only a few of the hair options have it - and for the ones that do it seems locked behind the "NPC Options" toggle even when it's available to players. But for hair options without it it seems to have defaulted to on, and there's no way to disable it even with the NPC options enabled

Two things about the event calendar:

a) Bug(?): the calendar itself is correct(?), but hovering an event shows an often wrong start/end date (current example: hovering darkmoon faire on the 5th october shows start 2nd November and end 9th Novemeber). Seems like you guys maintain the events manually? and the hover-box is generated from the webpage of that particular event, which has the newest known/maintained start/end date, so hovering an event on the calendar page always shows the newest time span
b) Question: i want to create a subscription based (for apple and google calendar alike) calendar for wow. ur calendar page seems to be the only source i found (u created such a service back in 2019, but its not supported anymore reading back in this channel). Is there a way for me to get ur guys maintained calendar data without scraping it?

@ocean abyss hey, thanks a lot for your update to the ele shaman guide. Im a bit confused by the contradiction in the talent build vs. rotation guide though. Rotation guide recommends using liquid magma totem, however in no talent version (raid/m+) do you actually recommend skilling it.

None of the recommended builds I put runs LMT, but LMT is definitely still viable so people will definitely be using it.

Is there a way to post like update days/time stamps and changelogs for the Cheat Sheets? I hate when times like this when there are updates weekly and tuning and all sorts of talents change for some classes and not others.... I have to sift through like 3-6 builds on all of my toons and make sure all my builds are set up for easy play. This would make it so much easier to know that it's not different than the last build.

Yeah, our data team periodically pushes client / game data out to the site. It's not automatic. It's also something that would be impractical to do hourly or something like that. Have to wait until there's enough to be worth the time... or if it's super important we might have a more frequent cadence (like after patches, etc.).

Would it be possible to separate SoD and Era on wowhead?
Looking through several items to find what is actually the regular era item is a bit annoying.
Right now you always need to doublle and tripple check that you actually have found the right item, quest or guide.
This is getting worse by every SoD patch.

Currently, we’re dealing with a major sharding/ phasing bug. Many players, including myself and others on Reddit and various forums, are experiencing issues where cities appear empty, and we’re unable to see other players in raids or parties. Although we’re all in the same shard (we see the same mobs), we can’t see each other.

This needs immediate attention to bring visibility to both the community and the company.

I cannot find this quest on Wowhead by searching for it. The quest is given by clicking on the "Bonus Event: Timewalking - Start Quest" button in the Adventure Journal when on a sub-80 level player. A sub-80 level player can also get the quest from Cupri in Shattrath.

My Hunter who just dinged 80 is able to hold both the "A Burning Journey Through Time" quest AND the "A Burning Path Through Time" quest.

Edited to add: I had both of the quests completed and ready to turn in. I turned in the level 80 version (A Burning Path Through Time) first and went to Shattrath to turn in the other version (A Burning Journey Through Time). But when I arrived in Shattrath, that version of the quest was gone from my log. So I guess you can only turn in one version per week. Bummer, would have liked those Bronze Tokens.

@celest perch The Demonology talent setups are suggesting alternative talents that are already being used by that talent setup. For example: Raid Single Target is saying you can swap out Grimoire: Felguard for Annihilan Training, but the setup already takes both talents. And the Delve setup says you can swap Grimoire: Felguard and Fel Sunder for Umbral Blaze and Pact of the Imp Mother, but the tree below takes all 4.

It's actually showing in the Wardrobe tool for that character, and links to the item... so I'll have to make a development ticket to actually investigate and hopefully fix whatever the problem may be. Classic Era gear planner Melee stat portion for Hunters is completely broken. I have tried many different gear options with Weapon Skill increases and +Hit% (which do help a little) but overall there seems to be something severely wrong with Hunter Melee stat block giving a ridiculous 60% glancing blow number and 20% miss rate... Often showing you literally have 0% regular hit chance with Melee weapons even though it's clearly not true, against same level opponent. This is level 60 vs 60.

For Ranged it tells me I have 100% Hit chance (divided between normal and crit at about 87/13 % split)... Seems awfully high as well ? I thought there's always a 1% base miss chance ? But apparently not according to the Gear Planner :))

I'm trying to recreate the item in the image in Wowhead.

The problem is that the secondary stats don't match the item I have in game in total. ilvl 558 rings have 3124 secondary stats in total. The ring in Wowhead only has 1250 secondary stats total.
The reason I'm doing this is that I want to be able to recreate an item that I see on the auction house and then upgrade it to 8/8 without having to buy it and take it to an Item Upgrades NPC.

Ah I've just checked my addon folder and it seems that the client had installed a second copy of the looter. I deleted both copies and allowed the client to reinstall and that has fixed the errors. Not sure what has caused the duplication of the addon though

Hey all, I'm noticing the dressing room is acting up and is becoming unusable, left clicking is bringing up the icon menu, right clicking actually allows you to see the options to browse or remove items, the occasional error when opening the dressing room, it wont even pick a default race to show you and goes entirely blank, the Equipped section at the bottom sometimes either wont register you are wearing anything at all, or shows you're wearing things, but when trying to save an outfit claims you have no clothes on.. is this a known issue? I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I am just getting my warlock up and running, and was looking at the standard guide, I do M+ a lot so I generally use that build to get used to it. I hadn't checked in with this server since the changes in the Wowhead premium tiers. Realized I don't think I have a role for my subscription here any longer. Went to https://www.wowhead.com/account=premium#discord-premium as directed to in the #welcome-rules channel.

There's absolutely nothing at that page to look at. My Wowhead account shows I'm a Rare Premium User, but I'm not seeing myself in that rank in here.

Edit to add: I don't see any of my old roles attached to my account in here anymore. And I can't seem to access my account settings on Wowhead using Chrome and Firefox right now either. The pages keep coming up blank.

Just a bit of feedback on your website. I'm one of those security concious types who logs out every time and clears all cookies. Consequently I get the login CAPTCHA every blooming time I log in. It has got to the point where I cannot work out their logic of what they define as a Motorbike is (does it contain the rider or does it not? Is a teeny tiny piece of the pedal part of the motorbike or not; does the traffic light include just the lights or does it include the pole that holds the lights and the pedestrian controls off to the sides?) and after 9 attempts I've just given up in disgust more than once the last couple of weeks. Please, please would you move to a more elder-friendly system like Authy or e-mail check?
You may also not be aware that Google is capturing this item recognition data and using it to train its AI for free (good luck with my attempts...).

On further reading, apparently, now that they've moved to tracking mouse movements and clicks, apparently I've been doing them "wrong" . Presumably that means when, e.g. I do them too fast, or when I start at the bottom & go right to left (so the mouse doesn't cover the next picture) or do the obviously-motorbike bits in the middle followed by the "oh there's a teeny part of a pedal over there" bits... 🤣 I've now managed to reduce it to 3 attempts before being able to log in,

@robust mason My apologies for pinging you, but I can't seem to find a place to report issues with the OribosExchange addon. The Curse project has no issues link, you don't have a github repo for it, and I even scanned wowhead forums.

The Feb 18th OribosExchange upload has the following Lua error:

Yeah I kinda make it hard to submit feedback on purpose. But, in general, if you have any feedback on the undermine exchange project (including the oribos exchange addon) that's best addressed in the WoW Economy discord. (Because since it's not an official Wowhead project, and it's something I do separately, I'm uncomfortable discussing it here.)

That said, that error looks specific to how the data was assembled and will probably fix itself with the next update as values change, since I didn't change anything with addon code in a while. But I'll look into it to try to prevent it in the future.

Just an FYI since I see the guides were updated about 12 hours ago, but the havoc demon hunter talent trees have the Inertia/Momentum node and the Unbound Chaos node reversed, so the import codes involving them don't currently work. edit; Cycle of Hatred also shows as a 1/1 node when it's a 2 point node.

So I've been seeing a lot of confusion through facebook about season changes. Is it possible to state exact dates for the ends and beginnings of pieces of content in your articles? For example: S1 AOTC/CE ends on [date] and S2 AOTC/CE begins on [date]. Some of the wording in the articles is confusing and some seems contradictory between articles.

I've seen people go back and forth on 3 issues:

  1. Does Zekvir?? go away on the 25th or 4th, and when does the new delve season begin?
  2. Does the S1 AOTC/CE go away on the 25th or the 4th?
  3. Does the S1 M+ rotation end on the 25th or the 4th? Is the new dungeon introduced on the 25th or the 4th when the new rotation drops?

I've read through every article pertaining to the season changes. But the way some people are going back and forth I'm questioning myself if I'm correct in what I remember season changes in the past and if I actually read what I think I did.

Personally, looking at conversations from the outside, it doesn't seem clear enough for everyone to be on the same page. And I'd feel terrible for passing on information that is actually wrong that can cause someone to miss out on something. I thought I'd bring it up as the same thing happened with articles covering past events.

The official blog mentions everything is the 4th, other than the M+/Pvp titles which are the evening before the patch (already locked in). It is, however, somewhat unspecific as to what dungeons will be available between patch and the 4th, and we don't have any precedent for the new system as of TWW so everyone seems to be filling in with wild guesses based off how dragonflight worked. I'm expecting the new dungeon to be available on normal, but otherwise the S1 dungeon rotation to still be active for heroic+

I was basing my interpretations and expectations on past season changes as well. I wasn't sure if there was a way to clear some information up a bit or how limited the information the Wowhead team got about it all. I'll definitely pass all this information on to my guild. They keep asking me like they appointed me the guild messenger lol. I truly appreciate the clarifications.

I’d just assume the old dungeons are out and the new ones are in, S1 is over. No keystones being given out. It would be weird if the old dungeons are still active giving last seasons itmlvls. New dungeons at heroic max giving the new itmlvls, since we will have the world content giving the newer itmlvls too

"The Wowhead Client is a little application we use to keep our database up to date". So if I'm getting multiple items dropped that aren't in the 'drops' list, it should update the database. Some of the items in the drops list say "1 out of 17039", so it shouldn't matter how many people contribute the same information. If the information is valid, it should be included and reflected in the listing.

There seems to be some scaling going on with the Cataclysm lvl 85 boosted character weapons that's not shown in any hotfixes or db. I ran my local wow.tools with the latest hotfixes loaded and the weapons still have the same stats as you've parsed.

Example item: https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=92360/partisan-greatsword
shows as having 3590-5386 damage, 1247dps but in game it's actually got the same damage range as any ilvl 359 3.6speed epic, 1795-2694

theres a bug with one of the linked armor sets on the siren isle guide, https://www.wowhead.com/guide/the-war-within/siren-isle-rewards-guide where the tidecrasher armor ensemble listing doesnt show properly. what it instead shows is the screenshot on the right when mousing over.

the armor set that should be shown instead is the plate set from legion dungeons that it shares the model of, not the skovald armor.

There seems to be a visual bug with the embedded talent builds across the site for WoW Retail when you click any of the tabs to change between different versions/hero talents. When you first visit the talent build guides it looks normal, but when you click a tab to view e.g. "Shado-Pan ST" rather than "Conduit of the Celestials ST", the talent build seems to change to a sort of "mobile view". Tested the Talent Builds guides for WW Monk, Frost DK, Vengeance DH, BM Hunter etc, using both Edge and Chrome (including incognito mode), and the issue persists. The talent builds then becomes stuck in that "mobile view" regardless of which tab I click, even if I go back to the original tab, until I refresh the page. I noticed that an anchor was added to the URL whenever I click a talent tab, so if I refresh while a tab was selected (and an anchor is present in the URL), that tab is then displayed correctly in a desktop view. That is, until I click another tab and it gets turned into a "mobile view" again. In other words, to view the builds in an expected desktop view, I have to click a tab, see the "mobile view" appear, then refresh to get the desktop view for that talent build.

build on wowhead seems to have points spent in frenzied regen and thrash even though they're already given automatically for free. Clicking on those will unassign them (but keep them there anyway) and give you the two talent points back

Really minor (and might not even be against the rules since its personally set) but if you scroll down on the members list down to the online tab, several accounts that have the first letter of their name set to ! (to appear on top) are advertising things, ranging from nsfw content, rmt, boosting, etc by setting it as their status

For staff it would probably just be easier to view the internal member list since it shows offline people though

I think something is wrong on wowhead when you click anything. Lets say you go to wowhead, retail and you read news "Mythic One Armed Bandit and Mug'zee Nerfed" or whatever you want, click if you want go to Diablo IV and you still seeing "Mythic One Armed Bandit and Mug'zee Nerfed" site.

I did check retail, classic, cataclysm and Diablo IV, the same thing. You are supposed to see Diablo IV site, but it doesnt. You have to click All News first before you go to retail, classic, cataclysm or Diablo IV. You will notice it!

Hi, not sure if tis has been posted before but i use chrome and have also tried opera gx but on both I cannot select one of the hunter pages. This is because the way the list appears you would need to scroll to get to it but when scrolling, the mouse hover moves away so list disappears. Can the list be reworked so that there are 4 classes per row?

@clear grail the current fire mage mythic+ talents have a conflict. it has picked gravity lapse from sunfury spec which requies supernova but has picked dragon's breath instead of supernova from the class row. Which one are we supposed to use?

There seems to be a disconnect between the NPC's 'Drops' item list, and the item's 'Dropped By' list. e.g. Ancient Pearltusk https://www.wowhead.com/npc=82452/ancient-pearltusk says that it only drops https://www.wowhead.com/item=107603/eroded-tusk But this isn't correct, as the NPC drops many things, including https://www.wowhead.com/item=116693/coldsinger-cloak and in the 'Dropped By' NPC list for that item is Ancient Pearltusk. This isn't a one-off problem, I've seen it for other NPC drop lists.

Is there maintanence being ran in regards to dressing room? Changing from live to PTR for me fully breaks the dressing room, and all versions of the site (PTR or Live) are having errors in the dressing room preventing any weaponry from appearing, I cant change races from whatever one the site loaded in as, etc.

The mistweaver rotation guide doesn't discuss any fistweaving optimizations in the rotation at all - seems like a gigantic oversight. ie) I'm in Jadefire stomp, am I hitting two tiger palms per blackout kick? What about single target vs AOE? What about if my RSK is coming off CD in ~ 4 seconds? Without this info on fistweaving the guide is incomplete

In the "Best Windwalker Monk Single Target Rotation and Priority" section, it still says "Cast Crackling Jade Lightning try not to overcap Last Emperor's Capacitor stacks" near the bottom of the priority list even if "Last Emperor's Capacitor" is unchecked (see highlighted line in screenshot). The higher priority line that reads "Cast Crackling Jade Lightning at 20 Last Emperor's Capacitor stacks" is removed as intended, but not the lower priority one.

years ago i remember bein ab le to configure the item search thing in wowheads database where you could specify a class/spec and itd give a gear score sort of thing on a given item or list of items if you were searching for a gear slot available for a given range in the filters, however i seem to have forgotten how to go about doing that these days.

or is it no longer possible to do that? am trying to figure out what if any necklaces that have a chance to proc a socket for example are available at lvl 10-15, ideally at 11 that can be somewhat achieveable whether that be dungeon source like from timewalking or other means like killing a rare of some sort

As of last week, acquiring the necessary renown has been made a little bit easier with to the improved raid skip, allowing players to jump from Vexie to Bandit, Mug'zee, and then Gallywix.
You probably want to say "...easier due to the..." or "...easier with the...".
Also, the "zee" in Mug'Zee should be capitalized.

It seems like they get completely overwritten with each phase with no way to grab the historical data.

This guide is pretty wacky. I'm not trying to be mean, but it's like they just asked others how it works and didn't look for any info on it.

I wrote a long comment on the wowhead page for the item a while ago, and some of the info is pulled straight from there, except I later went back and corrected a ton of info when I found it to be inaccurate

Has info like "be sure to not repair it" (it doesn't matter if you do, it undoes the repair)

It shows you get the 2h mace Caladbolg, you do not. That version is unobtainable.

There's some sort of parental setting of PG-13 by default that you have to remove or modify... I don't know much else beyond that, but a lot of Sky ISP users have had these issues and I've been told by many of them that changing that resolves it.
