A new launch of classic wow (starting tonight) that is supposed to last one year with shorter phases (they talk about 2 month phases) and increased leveling pace, and some adjustments like no world buff in raids, some reputation gear and T0.5 available at launch, battlegrounds also, increased honor ranking pace, etc...

Leveling process is same as in TBC, so about 40% faster than in normal classic and theres only 60lvls

In your starting zone there should be a class trainer in your first village, so you can get your abilities there.
As a dwarf your closest main city is Ironforge where you can find 90% of the stuff that Stormwind offers(proffesion trainers, bank, weapon trainers etc)
Going to stormwind depends on the lvling path you are going to take

@lucid storm Blizzard has said that we'll have the option to transfer SoM characters to Classic Era after the season is over, but they've made no mention of BC onward. So if we take that most literally, any SoM character will be locked to Classic Era unless or until Blizzard clarifies or changes their mind on it (which seems possible, certainly).

I mean, it seems intuitive that any Classic Era character should be able to transfer/clone forward to BC onward, you'd think. I don't see that as game-breaking in any way.

i am looking for a good instance/dungeon map, I have Atlas and Zygor maps but these maps are static and dont show your position as you move througb the instance. Carbonite has a minimap that is dynamic but it so small and I have tried the options to maximize it w/o avail. Honestly, if you aren't sure, just create a trial account. It will allow you to get to level 20 and try it out. Your first 10 levels are going to be in the new starting zone, unless you want the old one. And then you will have 10 levels in the last expansion, Battle for Azeroth. Get a feel for the changes and decide after that.

live game in shadowlands has controller support, but it seems it is not yet a completed project. So WoTLK classic will get the shadowlands controller support, but when they implement better support in Dragonflight, they will upgrade wow classic's too

Hey so is it just me or is the Garrison questline not very intuitive? I have to click randomly on the 200 or so people in my Garrison to further the questline. Do quests become available after a certain number of missions completed by followers or something?

@light drift My issue was not about it existing or should not exist the social contract it's more that I feel they should spend more time proactively dealing with it. I used myself as an example stay at home caregiver. I got some free time as long I can run off here and there. I be happy to minimal wage and earn a few bucks for my pocket deal with trade chats, etc. They use to do this one time at the start, but they seem to stop. Start with direct warnings and escalate it to mutes. I just love to see some the chat cleaned up it's so depressing that everytime I'm in the game and at a main city I feel like I'm on 4chan or something stupid. Even Reddit seems to have less chaos lol.

Maybe since it's a new system on retail it's just not fully being used yet and it will become better as time goes on.
